If you want your second account reflect back to your first, there are some good ideas above. If you don't want the two related, I suggest you try short words or phrases. They can be random words or carry a message (usually intimidating). If you come up with a name that is already taken, go to an online Latin translator, put in the name you want and see what comes up in Latin. I've done that with 2 of my accounts. You can even use L33T, such as 4377. Many online players will use a name of the opposite gender to remain incognito. For example: An MMO game I used to play allowed players to give game items to other players up to a certain in-game currency amount, including currency (very limited amount). I knew a male CEO of a Company that played a female character because male characters would most likely give females useful items. Of course, this doesn't apply to Tanki, but it gives you an idea of how opposite gender names can be used. No one needs to know, and no one will, unless you tell them.

Yesterday I played in a battle that was absolutely, without a doubt one of the most difficult battles I've played in, even on other accounts. The whole team was using OD on each other as a group (which is good planning and the way it's suppose to be used). The blue dome was ever present on the other side of the map. What made it so difficult was those who missed the OD drugged as much as they could until the next OD session. There was no let up. The team I was on was selfish with their OD and kept them, but then didn't use them on themselves, either. What's with that? 30K players don't seem like many when you consider the game is world wide. But 30K players doesn't mean it's dead, either. Tanki is going through growing pains. Not everything is fitting together, yet. They're doing the updates a little at a time, instead of in one great big one. I've seen games die because of big updates suddenly pushed on the players without giving the players time to adapt to the changes. They logged in the next day to find a whole new ballgame.....a game they no longer knew, the rules had changed, characters changed, battle format changed. Everything changed all at once. They knew an update was coming soon, but they weren't prepared for what faced them, now. The game seemed to die overnight. In the forums, the players weren't especially complaining about the changes, but rather because it was done all at once. Is that what the Tanki Community wants? I'm not defending the Dev's, Admin, Staff, Mods, or Helpers. Nor am I saying it's all good. All I'm saying is give Tanki a chance. In some instances, it's like putting a square peg in a round hole, where Tanki is the peg. Eventually, the peg will be rounded out. Some are saying that Tanki doesn't listen to its players. Well, in a way, it has. Consider this: 1...Players were complaining about the supplies (drugs) being too expensive. Non-buyers were complaining because they used their crystals for upgrades and couldn't afford to buy supplies, too. The game was so unbalanced between the buyers drugging and non buyers not drugging. Solution: Overdrive. Now everyone has access to supplies and don't have to pay a dime for it. Besides that, they not only can use the OD on themselves, but on other teammates as well. Some teams will use their OD on the Isidas, since they no longer have the healing power they once had. 2...Players were complaining about having to pay real money for Pro-Pass. Dev's listened and made Pro-Pass available to buy with virtual money, IE Crystals. Still players complained. Now, with the upcoming MM, you can have all the features of the Pro-Pass for free, including creating your own battles with all the features intact. 3...Players wanted new, more powerful weapons. They were getting bored with the same-o, same-o. Now we have Shaft, Hammer, Vulcan, Striker and Magnum. I remember all we had Smokey, Railgun and Twins. But still players complain. When Ricochet came out, players thought they had hit the jackpot. Sure the turrets were nerfed and others buffed. Why? Because players were complaining. 4...Players are complaining about the battles being unbalanced. The Matchmaker had been tested on the Test Server under controlled conditions. The Dev's wanted to know how it would hold up under actual battle conditions. So, they put it on the public servers in beta format. No, it wasn't perfect. It was made very clear to us that it was only a test and wanted players to click on a link to give their opinions. Some had constructive criticism while others just said it "suks" without any reason for their reaction to it. The MM isn't even out yet, and the players are complaining about it already without seeing what the new MM will be like. Devs do listen to us, eventually. But they can't please everyone. No matter what they do, there will always be those who aren't satisfied. We have two choices...adapt or quit. Those who adapt will keep the game going and see Tanki through its new birth. Those who quit will go on to other MMOs until they find one that suits them. Okay, I'm off my lecture tour.

Are battle invitations connected with "notifications" or "PM?"

My Dad used to tell us Kids: "Do it right the first time and you won't have to do it a second." My Dad was a perfectionist and tried to drive us in that direction. He believed in quality, not quantity. Good work ethics, but his Bosses didn't think so. They wanted quantity, not quality. He got fired from one job because his perfectionism got in the way and quit another because he felt he was cheating the customers by performing substandard work. To do the jobs right, would take extra time the company didn't want to spend. He became self-employed.

Why did I lose my OD? I wasn't logged out of the game completely, because I reloaded the page and went right back into the same battle, which had not ended, but was still in progress.

Actually, both are correct. After 1900, Americans adopted "spelled" over "spelt" but both are still used. Outside of the U.S. "spelt" is more common.

I've been playing tanki since it came out of beta. Tanki won't die anytime soon. Updates will continue, players will leave maybe because of the updates or for personal reasons. But potentially new players will see links on other websites, like miniclip.com. The links will be clicked out of curiosity. If they like what the read and/or see, they will join the Tanki Community and take the place of those who left. I've played other multiplayer games that went through complete workovers. Old players left, including me, because we weren't able to adapt and the numbers took a nosedive. Some were abandoned by the Dev's but others survived because of curious new players, as mentioned above. They didn't go through all the changes so they were able to learn the game from scratch. Some of the games died and then abandoned by the Dev's because too many changes were done all at once, even to the point of shutting down the game for a period of time, leaving a message in big red letters Under Construction. Will reopen on (date). I think the Dev's of Tanki are trying to prevent that from happening by introducing the updates a little at a time to give the older players a chance to adapt. Yes, Tanki is marching on, new players will join and learn the game from scratch. Old players will learn to adapt or quit.

The black screen without an error message happens on occasion, but not often and can usually reload back into battle. At times, but rarely, I cannot return to battle because of lag in loading time. When it's loading, I get a message from the browser, "Waiting for tankionline.com to connect." I use my computer a lot, so I dump all the caches about every 7 to 10 days. Sooner if I notice lag in other games besides tanki Yes, I always use mouse control

I was in battle, going to a good kill zone. On my way, I was going to stop at a group with low health and use my OD, but someone else beat me to it. I still had OD intact. Suddenly, I was faced with a black screen with no error messages. I reloaded the page, went directly back to the battle I was in, but my OD was gone. What's the black screen with no errors and why did I lose my OD?

Since Jupiter has no land mass, where did you land and how long were you there? It's atmospheric make-up is Hydrogen, Helium, Ammonia, Sulfur, Methane and water vapor. Makes it hard for Earthlings to breathe, not to mention the smell. Jupiter is one humongous electromagnet. Too bad we can't tap into that.

We are not stealing rocks from your planet. Meteors hit you planet and knock off chunks, which fly into outer space. These Martian rocks fall to Earth as meteorites. So, I'll thank you for not cluttering up our planet, we can clutter it up by ourselves very well, thank you very much.

I like to get up in the morning and take a shower to wake me up. I like a day when it's full of accomplishments I can be proud of. I like evening walks with my dogs when weather permits I like living alone. No one telling me what to do, what not to do, when to do it and how to do it. I like getting into my truck and just leaving for a few days. No plans, no destination. When I get there, I turn around and take a different route back.....with my dogs, of course.

Up until about 3 years ago, Central Florida (where I live) had been in a 10 year drought defined as "desert conditions." The aquifer started drying up. The water was tasting poorly and left lime residue in shower heads, faucets, etc. Lakes were drying up as well as streams and rivers. Since the melting of the North Pole, our aquifer is filling up, lakes and streams are up against the seawalls where they belong...not 25 feet away. People who rented or owned space in lake marinas weren't able to use the boat docks or piers. It was all dry land. A nearby lake that's 10 miles across started drying up. It was all dry land and didn't start wading in it until you got half way across it. In the past 3 years, that lake is almost where it was 10 years ago....almost. Consider this: Up until 1988, we had the Monsoons every year. It would rain for a week at a time day and night. Not all downpours, but nice gentle rains. We were zoned as "sub-tropics." The Citrus Industry was booming. That's what kept Florida alive. Evaporation of water from the ground caused the rain. It was a natural cycle. Then in 1988 and 1989 we had two very harsh back to back freezes that wiped out the citrus. Grovers had to sell their groves to get out from under the cost of trying to plant all new trees that takes about 5 years to start producing effectively. Along comes the Developers. They bought the groves for pennies on the dollar....dirt cheap. The groves kept dying out because no one was trying to save them, not even the Developers. The land rotted for about 5 years. Then the urban sprawl started. Developers started building housing complexes faster than anyone could buy them. Whole housing communities stood vacant. Finally, the State had to put a moratorium on building until the houses already built had been sold. More people out of work. Then the weather started changing drastically. We no longer had the rains, the beloved monsoons. Why? Because houses, parking lots, sidewalks, etc. doesn't allow the water to evaporate at the rate it needs to rain. We can no longer produce our own rain. We have to wait until a sympathetic cloud passed by and dropped a few inches of rain...just enough to wet the surface of the ground, but not enough to soak down into the aquifer where it was needed. We had to drink bottled water because the quality of the water from the aquifer was so poor. Where did the bottled water come from? Bottling companies that sprung up all over the place, taking water from our lakes and natural springs. (Where does "Spring Water" come from?) The old swimming hole I swam in as a kid is all dried up because of a well known water bottling company. It's a vicious cycle. You talk about CO2 and CH4. I don't dispute that, but that isn't the only reason. Many factors have come into focus. Two separate research centers studying the Arctic meltdown has estimated the meltdown will be complete in 2020. Global flooding will occur and the water will be contaminated. Anyone have a spaceship?

Tanki will continue even if all the Europeans and Americans quit. It's a Russian game and it will continue in that region. Russians get more bang for their buck, so why should they quit?
