Actually the difference is exactly the same, twice as much time to kill them.
-
Hehehehe everyone except me, because I was also using Twins. It was fun unless the guy with Twins and 50% twins protection was around, then I ran away. Protection definitely does affect Twins.

Sorry people, the ugliest paint in tanki is Beating Hearts, this paint is actually cool looking.
-
I'm quite pleased about this, as I only got to play a little bit last time they did meteorite golds. 50% upgrade sales are great as well.
-
No. I simply use it because it gets results. As soon as I rank to colonel, I will mostly play xp/bp. I also intend to start using smoky again at the same time.
-
More like if I hold down the spacebar my keyboard ghosts and I can't turn or turn my turret. I also would go crazy from the constant noise, and the enemy would always know exactly where I am. I also would be unable to prevent frequent self damage.
-
I honestly don't understand the constant talk of a brick for Twins. Good luck playing well with that strategy.
-
Buying firebolt would be a huge waste because you already have m2 firebird.
-
I wasn't talking about that, even with the splash impact I can't flip my Viking back over. TBH I was just repeating something someone else had said regarding impact.
-
This is incorrect math, buying every upgrade and speed up on a 50/70 sale actually costs 10% more than buying each upgrade individually and not buying sped ups without a sale.
-
Good luck hitting anyone without the giant cushion of splash damage...

Well, no one needs to be. It still has a higher DPM than Rico, and no other turret will even come close. Its not like you magically become a camper while using it, you use Twins the same way but with a Ton of extra range. That extra range comes in handy on some maps were just a few extra meters helps. Currently PCA is the only Twins alteration I have. I haven't bought stable plasma, and most likely won't. I very rarely am affected by self damage, as like I said, most players are dead before they get close enough for it to take effect. And I get double kills in normal battles, not just old Polygon CP. I think you also lose knock back with stable plasma, which is not helpful at all.
-
Which alteration? If you mean stable plasma, I can say that it is absolutely not necessary. If someone gets close enough to you for that to have effect, you are using Twins badly. Anyone should be long dead before they get close to you, especially with double damage. I find the splash damage useful, I get double kills quite often with it, as crazy as it sounds. If you mean the PCA alt, I get that. On some maps it is required to do well with Twins, though smaller ones are better with the faster reload.

I edited that.

I usually ignore my team to be honest. Of course battles where I know the players are different, but for the most part I play to complete my own objectives. I don't see how a bad team prevents you from landing shots, as that is determined by your skills.

Honestly I seem to have a hard time in Polygon CP, which always puzzles me, as I consistently see Thunders taking top spots. Striker, in skilled hands, can behave like a Thunder, but with faster reload and a salvo mode. Of course, I am not really skilled, yet. I mostly use Twins/Titan on Polygon CP, which is definitely a kid in a candy store combo. I definitely don't think Striker is weak, I got a good many of my crazy weekend kills using it. On a double damage, not much can stand up to it. Right now it is my favorite long ranged turret because it two shots hulls that Railgun will two shot, in a third the time. definitely one of the most fun turrets to use.
-
I mostly use arcade shots, but salvo is quite fun if you get it to work. You get a guaranteed kill against almost anything, one of maybe three two turrets that can destroy a heavy hull (with double damage). Salvo is more useful on no supply battles, especially old Polygon CP.

Gold boxes actually drop more often now in non pro battles, and are still dropped by fund in pro battles. Funds were increased a TON in non pro battles as well, and they did tell everyone that exp gains were reduced. Why is all this a problem?
-
Lucky :o I got beating hearts in a container a few months ago, still mad about it.
-
Valid Add new types of containers or new rewards
nemoetnihil replied to Maf in Ideas and Suggestions
This would be lame, as a micro upgrade step never costs more than 50K, while legendary containers give 300k as one of their rewards. -
So is this another Synthesia; as in, a paint that "doesn't exist"? Also, is this paint animated?
-
No, the only XT's that will be in the game now are skins that give no stat bonus and which are just there to look cool. Smoky will be just the same, they will never add one that has different stats.

While I agree that Freeze was too weak (and really have enjoyed using it after this rebalance), I feel that this damage buff was too much. Had I buffed Freeze, I would have increased its freezing effect, and made it freeze faster at higher modifications, the way Firebird does more after burn at higher modifications. As it is, I think a 10% damage decrease from its current level would make it much more balanced.

By not worthwhile, I mean that Isida gives almost no exp (matchmaking only, pro battles are unaffected) when healing, making it better to use it offensively and benefit from the insane dps. I only rarely used Isida in non pro, so it makes no real difference to me. I think exp was reduced by half at least from healing.

Is Smoky usable at its M2 unlock rank? I used to use nothing but Smoky, but switched to Railgun a while ago. I always intended to upgrade it, but never got around to it. As it is one of my favorite turrets, I would like to know if it is worth buying M2 at Colonel? Is it still usable? At this point it would cost more for me to finish upgrading it than it would to just buy M2 on a 50% sale. Thanks.
