Not really rico is good without the long range alt also But with it you get more range , so you become a Smoky with ricos reload who has Thunders range

I think the best hull for Fagnum is Wasp , as a attacker , cause if you use pee-a-boo -_- tactics the enemy can not enemv see you and you can shoot from spaces where you can not with other hulls
