I figured that when a Shaft does not move (since hiding laser is EZ), you can tell they are in sniper mode. Especially in close-range combat when a Shaft does not use Arcade shots.

I have to disagree with you. The pre-buffed Dictator OD was no better than what we have now. One entire team with that OD ready to use, they can chain-buff each other and still steamroll the other side (whom happens didn't have theirs ready).

Well assume you have 500k crystal to throw without sales. And it takes a bit more than 3 months to max out. A Defender and other drones takes whopping more than 6 months to max out.

If I choose Booster/Defender, then I am contributing of making the gameplay balance worse, not better for F2P (despite of me being a buyer). For me when I use Brutus, it makes a good difference of Shaft's sniper shot damage (from 3,300 -> 3,630) and Arcade shot as well. It's simple to use and does not drain my manual supplies fast unlike Defender/Booster (DA/DP and batteries). I have a F2P WO5 account and so far doing well. Hopper's jumping ability itself is not annoying, only if there it cannot inflict Burning and Stun.

To me, CP is pretty pog for farming battle points (and EXP) if you can cap and recaping points.
