It's far from "guaranteed" that Crisis and Armadillo will be given to everyone, as the fund has to reach 15 million for that which is unlikely. Besides as I already explained, Crisis is a buyer/helper/eSports only drone due to its supply consumption, which can't be maintained by a free player - so it doesn't matter if everyone got Crisis for free, not everyone will be able to use it. Now besides this, not "everyone" will be able to even afford the Bronze bundle to participate, as if you were a free player you had to have 1000 tankoins for that - which not everyone has. And free players or light buyers can get Crisis/Armadillo from Ultra Containers anyway if they are lucky (I have Crisis on 2 accounts and Armadillo on one as a free player). So now that free players and light buyers have a one-off better chance to get something, I don't really get why you are annoyed. Pay-to-win (bought items that give an actual increase in power over other players) is bad for the game anyway, and there will probably come many new updates in the future which favour buyers - and by the way I don't think that's a good thing either. It would be best if buying gives cosmetic things only, if that were possible. Just look at how many players this game has lost in the last 2 years - you have the level of pay-to-win advantages in this game partly to blame for that. Players don't want to play a game where they have no chance in battle - so if you want the game to survive with reasonable player numbers, I don't think you should want massive pay-to-win advantages which you can exploit. Oh and as for the fourth module - its price was FAR too high anyway. When it was first talked about many of us thought it would be 1,000 or so - and now it is. Good. It wasn't good to have the game so heavily entrenched in pay-to-win as it has been in the last 2 years (but it still will be after this, although there might be a little more equality for a while). TDLR; Free players can't use Crisis even if they get it. Not everyone can participate, and fund probably won't reach level 14/15. Everyone can get Crisis/Armadillo if they get lucky anyway, and buyers still have advantages and will have many more new ones in the future.

Well that's very generous of you :P I have done my part for the cause as a free player, putting in tankoins on 3 accounts lol. Totally unselfish, not getting anything out of it for myself except the fourth module, and maybe Armadillo/Crisis/Skins/Ultras and 7000+ tankoins on each ?
-
Good idea :P Coinboxes usually lose tks. But yes if you spent 150 and got 153 back, you are "lucky" compared to usual from coinboxes lol. And you gained 3 tankoins! Well done ?
-
If you bought 10 for 150 and got back 150 you did OK then though :P ? Or did you spend more? You would often pay 150 and get back like 15, lol, so for coinboxes that is actually better than average. And you at least got some supplies and crystals with that I hope too xD

Nice :) I think we will may well see only quite slow progress between now and Thursday evening, but probably quite a spike on Friday/Saturday with people buying Silver or Gold bundles to get the new Twins augment once it releases this Friday. I think if we have over 7 million by Saturday night Crisis might be possible, otherwise I doubt it will happen.

I really like this topic, great idea and a rare positive topic lol. Incorp being a force for good in Tanki as usual ? Lol :P Well Hopper haters will be happy now as Hopper sucks, except for golds. And even there Dictator is now equal or better, arguably. I have more success in capture modes now with Paladin, Hunter or even Mammoth with Trickster. Anyhow, back on topic - many good points have already been covered. A few things I can think of right now: In TJR: - help defend your teams' Juggernaut when they are low HP and don't have overdrive - then when he heals up you can go back on offence. - Also, try to let your Juggernaut have the overdrive box if he is nearby, unless you are a Viking/Dictator with Cyclone Striker, and think that you could get a kill on the enemy Jug. - If you see a Viking with overdrive headed to your Juggernaut, try to kill him or somehow interrupt. If they are using a splash turret such as Striker, Thunder or Gauss, make sure to stand in front of them so they kill themselves if they try to use their overdrive. With Nanobots Isida: - Try to heal other good Nanobots Isidas or even regular Isidas as a priority, as if you keep them alive they can keep you alive, and together they keep your team alive. The only exception is if there is one especially good player, try to heal them a lot also as one good player can often help the team effort more than several weaker ones.

I really don't think that the fund will reach 15 million, I don't think people should expect this, because I can imagine lots of disappointed posts if it doesn't get there around the 19th December. If it does then it will be a nice surprise. What I do think is likely is that we will get the 15 container + 15 Ultras, along with the fourth module - as well as having that small chance to win 7200 tankoins (or will it be 8000? Not sure at what point the 10% for eSports players will be subtracted). For 1000 tankoins, that is really great. And I think there is a good chance we could get 1 or more skin containers. Armadillo and Crisis however - I think the chances are very low, but let's see.

I wouldn't normally advise getting coinboxes (as they have a much higher chance for you to lose all your tankoins than gain any, and also because they are basically pure gambling which is a dangerous thing to get into), however in this very rare situation I might consider them, if I didn't have enough tankoins to reach the 1000 any other way. Basically coinboxes give you a very high chance for your to lose all your tankoins, and a low chance to get something good - so I buy them on my alts which I almost never play, if they reach 150 (if I play them so rarely that I would not ever reach enough for a battle pass otherwise), and I also sometimes buy them on my main for every 1000-1500 tankoins or so that I earn, just in case I managed to get a good opening. However what is CRUCIAL to do with coinboxes is that if you get a good opening - DO NOT REBUY. If you get a good opening you want to take that and leave it - if you re-buy you will most likely lose all that you have gained, which is mega frustrating. I actually did get coinboxes on my alt accounts that would not have made the 1000, and 2 accounts did manage to get over 1000 and so have enough for the offer. However, most of them lost all of their tankoins - as I expected. One went down from over 600 to only 30 or so. This is basically what I would do if I was short of tankoins for the Bronze pack (and what I might think would be a good strategy for non-buyers): 1) If I had 600 or so tankoins: complete the challenge and try to do as many events as possible. Try to win a tankoins promocode from the eSports livesteam, or get one from friends. If it seems I won't get 990 by December 19th, buy coinboxes on the closest Ultra Weekend before then. 2) If I had under 600 tankoins - go for coinboxes and take the chance. However, there is always the chance that they offer the fourth slot again in a future giveaway (or reduce the price of it), given that they have done so for the first time here. Or, you might just want to save your tankoins for the next battle pass - or save for the fourth slot the normal way in the hope of future discount. So not going for coinboxes, even if you won't have enough for the Bronze pack, might be a good long-term strategy anyway. It is your choice - just don't get addicted to gambling via coinboxes, which are basically pure gambling and really one of the most dangerous things in Tanki, lol.

Crisis is already nerfed to be honest, because it gets hit hard from the new Jammer effect. It is one of the drones most hurt by Jammer, because it will only have 1 supply on when Jammer is applied - whereas other drones will have up to 3. Therefore you can apply one supply and you will be one supply down for 5 seconds at least. Also Crisis will NOT be everywhere as some predict should the fund reach 15 million, as has already been said Crisis is far too supply-hungry for free players or light buyers to maintain (unless it is on an alt account which is played rarely, but regularly collects shard containers). I have had Crisis for months and have only used it for about 5 battles - because there is no way I can afford the supplies. I can't even keep up Defender/Trickster/Booster constantly if I play regularly, never mind Crisis. So even if everyone who bought Bronze gets Crisis, it will still be a buyer/helper/eSports player exclusive item - nothing will change in this regard. Massive congrats to all who bought Bronze and got the fourth slot! ? (Including me :P ). Really nice to get this much sooner than expected, and to be able to buy battle passes instead of saving for the fourth slot now. I do feel sad for those who are not able to make the 1k tankoins by December 16th however. Many of us were already saving for the fourth slot, so we had enough tankoins - so those who were really putting a big effort in to get the fourth slot have now been rewarded early. However, if the developers are giving away the fourth slot this cheaply now, I think it is highly likely we will see discounts on it in the future anyway. I would expect it to be included in the New Year 50% off sale, and also perhaps it will be available in future events? Who knows, but it has been out for a while now so this might be the start of it being more freely available - I hope so for those who miss out on this event.

patch notes Patch Update #671 - Released 3rd December 2021

Thanks, I wish I could make videos, sadly my PC isn't up to it :P Hmm, are you sure it isn't a bug? Seems kind of random that Destabilised Rounds is the only Railgun augment with no damage coefficient buff in Viking overdrive - and since the augment just received a change, a bug with Viking would be the kind of thing that would be possible. If it wasn't announced, and it is the only Railgun augment with that behaviour (and it also doesn't seem to make sense), I'd be confident enough that it is a bug. Although I know we have seen random changes before. Kind of reminds me of when Gauss suddenly stopped having almost any critical damage, and somehow information came through that this was intended. But then we later found out that it was apparently a "bug" that ended up getting fixed. I would think the same probably applies here. -

OK, that sounds like a bug not a feature. I don't see any reason why they would make Round Destabilisation the only Railgun augment with no increased damage coefficient during Viking Overdrive, that seems bizarre. I am not able to record videos on my PC, but if you can - and can report it in the bugs section - all your fellow Railgun users will thank you lol. That sucks especially, as Viking was my favourite hull with which to use Round Destabilisation (and to use Railgun in general). No wonder it seemed a little weak the last time I tried it with Viking Overdrive. A shame, because I liked the latest changes - and they had finally made it a viable and intersting augment again. -
Over 1 million??? Wow, awesome - we have the nuclear energy! Now my account is complete ;p In all seriousness though, good progress so far :) The big 2 million mark is close.
-
Great effort on the maths! Thanks for working all this out for us lol :) . However of course, the Silver and Gold Bundles also give Ultra Containers (and crystals/shot effects respectively) so that makes up for their lower profit on the tankoin draw I suppose. You are buying those ones partly for the other rewards I would think. And good luck in the exams!

I agree about the PRO battle pass, many players want to play PRO battles and I don't think its fair or necessary to restrict them. I don't see why changes to PRO battles are necessary - that will only frustrate players and drive them away from the game. They might be concerned about abuse of Team Juggernaut once it is added to PRO battles, which is understandable. In that case then simply put a crystal cap on the TJR mode only, and leave the rest of PRO battles unchanged - problem solved, and no-one will be unhappy. As it is, it seems as if they are trying to force players into MM, and players do not like to be forced in a manner like this, and have the part of the game they enjoy taken away from them. I hope they will only apply caps to TJR. But as for this offer however - it is really good. I don't think we have anything to complain about with regard to it, 4th module alone for 1k tankoins is amazing, and all the other stuff added on is pretty awesome for that amount. Even for those who already have the fourth module, I think it is definitely at least worth getting Bronze, and the other bundles seem like a reasonable deal too.
-
That could be true, although also I think there is a possibility that we could see more buy-ins once we get to (or close to) the final Ultra Containers stage being complete, and the first-third skin containers stage, as at those points the Bronze bundle becomes better value for buyers - and more attractive for all. Also some buys towards the end perhaps due to "fear of missing out" or just desire for more Ultras from the Silver pack. Another thing that could drive purchases is if an imbalanced new Twins augment is released - we could see a big spike in purchases of the Silver pack, if it gives the best value to buy Ultra containers to attempt to get the new augment.
-
Logical thinking as ever :P I was also going to do the same, however I have already spent my tankoins on all 3 accounts that had enough - since I was concerned that the devs may suddenly announce an increase in the price of the Bronze offer since the value was too good ? Also because I think it is nearly impossible that the fund won't reach 2 million within the 2 week period - it seems we are on track to reach the 2 million either today or tomorrow so hopefully that will be the case lol. I find it difficult to guess how high the fund will go this time. I think the incentive for free players and low-end buyers to buy in with the 1k tankoins offer this time is VASTLY higher than it was last time, for obvious reasons, and that could drive the fund high - although it remains to be seen what effect that will have. I am not sure if the incentive for big buyers, with the Silver and Gold bundles, is as high as last time or not. It could be more, it could be less - I'm really not sure. But if the fund reaches even the first Skin container stage (Or perhaps even the 15 ultra containers stage) the Bronze bundle starts to become insanely good value even for big buyers. Once we reach the 2nd skin container stage, (since you get 500 tankoins back if you have all skins, from a skin container) the Bronze bundle becomes literally free for players who have all skins, and at the 3rd skin container stage it literally gives such players tankoins. And if you don't have all skins, getting a guaranteed skin or two plus all the Ultras and containers, and chance to win the giveaway is well worth it. So I think almost all players who can afford it buying at least the Bronze offer is going to happen. The real question is about how many buy Silver and Gold. I don't really want to guess if we will end up with much less in the fund than last time, or much more, but level 2+ is good enough for me anyway. With so many buying Bronze, it could end up more than the 10 million last time - let's see. ...And as for your point about the eSports players, I agree. The idea to get to "support" eSports players with tankoins is nice, but the penalty here is too high. Most of them will already be very rich, and will already be getting good rewards from the tournament - while taking 10% away from the fund may discourage big buyers from contributing. Either scrapping the 10% or giving the eSports players "free" tankoins would work better I would say, even for Alternativa themselves, as I think then buyers would have more incentive if they were getting more tankoins back. Sorry eSports players! The People's Crisis! Crisis for every man, woman and child - let's go :) (Or perhaps, the people's 4th module at least lol). Making good progress so far.
-
I doubt that the fund will reach level 14 for Armadillo (although I would be VERY pleasantly surprised if it did). The fourth module and other rewards are still good enough for me anyway, if it gets to level 2+. According to the wiki Armadillo costs 5 times more than a normal module, which means around 2 million crystals to get mk1-mk7, or 1 million on 50% sale. Conveniently we have a 50% sale coming up in around a month, so with all those other reward containers and Ultras plus a month to save I'd say mk7 armadillo is achievable (and 35% armadillo is more useful than most 50% modules). Upgrades would take a while from there, but if I can upgrade 5 modules I can upgrade Armadillo. As I say though, I'd be surprised to see level 14 - but let's hope so.
-
Fair enough! Though I think if Marcus said it, it has to stand, and if it isn't true then we can legitimately complain. The devs themselves rarely post here.

I have already asked this question and received an answer, on the first page of the topic. Read the other posts next time :p

Hyperion is now abdurdly strong. I don't really think it needed immunity to Jammer (if it actually has that?), seems strange and kind of like you get automatic Jammer Immunity augment with Hyperion, besides overdrive activation. I don't really think that is needed, or makes sense, when all other non-Brutus drones are affected. Do you know how much the reduction on repair kit and mine cooldown Hyperion now has when maxed out? I assume it is 20 seconds? -
There wasn't really anything that was misleading or inaccurate about the original post, it is just that the offer seemed to be so good that we needed confirmation - as we couldn't actually believe that they were giving away something that good in this way. So I asked for confirmation as I actually thought there could be some mistake, that it couldn't actually be as it seemed. However also, tankoins are of course a very hard to obtain resource in the game as you know, requiring a lot of time (or money) to get, so players would obviously want to know EXACTLY what they are getting before spending a substantial amount of tankoins on these offers.

Enjoyed this event :) Caught 50-ish golds in the special mode and earned a stack of crystals, and Ultra Containers are always welcome - missions were not too bad. Solo Jug was pretty fun on these maps :)

I absolutely agree 100%. Why was Supplier nerfed, such that it no longer receives any extended duration for its own supplies? That really is ridiculous, Supplier has historically been one of the worst drones, and FINALLY it was buffed to being reasonably OK - now it has been nerfed to become literally worse than ever after a very short time of being viable, at long last. It provides NO benefit to the user beyond what Brutus does, other than increased score. How is that fair? Not to mention that the game is very much lacking in support drones - and we finally had a Support Drone that was "OK" (not OP, just OK). But now it has been totally gutted? I really can't understand. If Supplier was "OP" (and I can't understand how) then nerf the extra score it gave, or possibly the duration of supplies to allies. But it is absurd that it gives NO benefit whatsoever to the user, beyond what Brutus drone would give. This change quite simply needs to be reverted, strange and highly unfair for Supplier Drone users. -

Don't worry I have plenty of hulls to use other than the "flying hack" :) I have moved to the other hack - Paladin :P Earlier, having won one game of Rugby, my hovering hack moved on the the next game - from which I was already thankful to have received the prestigious title "Fat Flying Cheater". Paladin usage earns much respect from the playerbase xD : Also Dictator, Mammoth or even Hunter hacks seems to work well these days, too. -
The one big thing that needs to be done to fix MM is that Legends should only face Legends, and ranks below Legend should only face Generalissimos at the very most. This would solve a vast amount of problems for low rankers, and also would help make Legend battles a bit more balanced - there are still plenty of low GS Legends for buyers or experienced players to face to "feel strong" and destroy easily. On the other hand with this, low rankers would be much less likely to run into unstoppable tanks, as the majority of 9999s with maxed out augments and equipment are Legends. There are enough players to accommodate this, all that might need to happen is a very slightly larger rank spread in the ranks approaching Legend, but that would be very much preferable to facing Legends at a very low rank. The matchmaking system could have an in-built threshold if player numbers drop VERY low (for instance just after reset, lets say less than 2000 or 1000 online, something like that) where Legends will be allowed to face non-Legends. But once the threshold is exceeded, we will only have Legend vs Legends, and low rankers will not face them. This has been suggested many times by myself and other players, but has not been implemented despite it being a very obviously large improvement on what we have now. On my lower rank accounts every game that I don't face Legends is a GG, whereas when I do they walk over all low ranks. It is blatantly obvious this needs to happen.
