Two things you need to know: first, that there are different levels of M2s. "Wait, what?" Well, for instance, M1 Smoky is a BIG jump from M2 Smoky (as in, M2 Smoky is a LOT better). That makes it one of the "best" M2 turrets. Same with Titan. That's why, in theory, Smoky/Titan M1 is a "bad combo" (hence the low unlock rank) and Smoky/Titan M2 is a "good combo" (hence the late unlock rank). On the flip side, M2 Freeze is the (or at least on of the) worst M2 turrets. That's why it unlocks early. Same Isida. So, second point. Since, after buying either Siberian or Osaka, you'll need to save up crystals for Chiropractor, you won't have much to MU (upgrade, some people don't know what MU means so I'll just get that out of the way ^_^) Freeze. So, as people were saying, your Smoky/Titan M1 10/10 is *in theory* better than a Freeze M2. Does that make sense? Aside from that, there is one HUGE flaw with Chiropractor, and it's one reason I REALLY dislike the kit. Wait, Initiate is trashing Chiropractor? He's shamelessly advertised it for 4 months. So yeah, get Chiropractor at . If you're dead set on a melee turret, then consider investing in Firebird M2 at . It's on the higher end of M2s (and it goes well with Hunter). Cheers! HBTY @Initiate

I would not recommend Boar. It is great... and then not so good. Once you reach Second Lieutenant and thereabouts the number of protections skyrockets, and very soon you're not as effective as you could be. In my humble opinion I would recommend waiting for Chiropractor. Learning to be an effective mobile sniper (not camping) is a tough load, but the payback is immense. Couple the Shaft with Light Capacitors (the alteration) and Hornet or Hunter, and with some skill you can top the leaderboard, very few drugs needed. *Edit: I wrote Second Lieutenant :D Should have been .

Fixed that for you. It's nothing like Shaft - you can move, it's not generally a one-shot... the only similarity to Shaft is the instant shot (it even has different lock-on mechanics). *Edit: oh no, here comes a claim I'm stalking you... I didn't even notice it was you.

It's called Heavy Capacitors. That, M4 Shaft, and 20/20 Booster Drone can one-shot a JGR immediately (it doesn't need to take any damage first). Talk about DAMAGE B)

I use it so I don't object :ph34r: On a side note, there has to be an upside to being one-shotted by almost all turrets in the game, because everyone has apparently constant DD (unless you have a module or DA... and I rarely use the latter). Thunder? Yep. Railgun? Yep. Smoky? Oh yeah. Shaft? + Magnum? Yes Gauss? Yeap Ricochet? Two/three shot kill, quick enough it's ridiculous (and with MFS you can't dodge the shots) Striker? Heh, YES (ehm Uranium, but they will soon be decreasing in number). Vulcan? Well no, but it's like a 1 second kill. Not funny if you're on the receiving end. That's long/mid-range turrets (and only Ricochet and Vulcan aren't one-shot kills). Hornet's OD is a tad OP, but it's not absolutely insane.

Uranium is now a primarily single-shot alteration (and therefore not generally super long-range). If you want more salvo damage, then Cyclone is the way to go.
