Well - let's see, what can I say? I discovered Tanki in November I believe, so I haven't been on that long. I've had lots of fun, though, making my way through the ranks. I am currently at the rank of First Sergeant, with roughly 32 hours of playing time, so I believe I've been making good headway. Correct me if I'm wrong, though :)
My best memory from my short time on this game is when me and another tanker on the opposing assault team were shooting flames over each other, then realized we weren't damaging each other. It was a bit of a "Oh. I guess I should go find someone else to kill!" moment, which was quickly ended when a Twins, Smoky, and Freeze entered and killed me. That was a funny moment.
I'm playing with an M1 Firebird + M0 Wasp, and I am currently trying to get an M1 Wasp. Does anyone have any better suggestions? My main pairs, as you will see on my profile, are a new M0 Viking + M0 Shaft, as well as the aforementioned pair. I'm still trying to decide - am I a sniper, or do I prefer to jump into the melee? Oh, well, I guess time, and whichever one I get to a higher level, will decide.
I am making a point of not spending money - anyone have a suggestion on how to make lots of crystals? Yes, I do the Daily Challenges.
Well, since I don't have much to say about the last year since that means "month" for me, I will recount some of my most funny moments. First, when I realized that a Firebird and Wasp does not do so well in Juggernaut, so I switched to Titan and Shaft, only to find that the time was up.
Second, I saw someone with a Keeper Kit, and their hull was really moving quite fast, I thought, for a Titan. That's the tank for me, thought I, and bought the kit, only to find out that they either had some serious upgrades, or they did not use the Titan. I also found out that I have not mastered turning the turret enough to warrant using the Smoky M1, so perhaps I will save that till later, when I am more skilled.
I also bought the twins when I got killed several times by them. It turns out that that person had probably upgraded them fully.
One observation to the makers: why is it almost mandatory to buy crystals to succeed in the game? I get that money has to be made, but to quote a reply that I read on the forum, "there are people several ranks higher than they should be, simply because they have strong equipment." A truer word was never said. How about we make this a skill game, not a "Who has money to waste?" game. My thanks in advance.
Overall, though, thank you so much for making Tanki. Great game, fun to play, and if I ever get high enough that I can't win without using money, why then, I'll transfer to my alt account, HBTY2.
