Conflicting advice lol. I don't play freeze but I'm thinking if I have an M3 maybe it's worth it. I played it some at the lower ranks and can circle around and kill noobs, but I'm not sure if it would work at higher ranks. I'm also trying to buy Tornado kit, or maybe Voltage or Boar, so I'm not sure. The only thunder alt available right now is Subcaliber rounds (I think that's it) but I wanted sledgehammer. Does anyone know when that unlocks? I'm just worried if I'm basically broke with an M3 turret and an M1 hull, and only enough crystals for M1s, so I won't be able to buy an M2 kit for awhile. Maybe I'll buy Avalanche? Then I can use Hornet with rail and still get the M2 freeze...

Perhaps it's both :) Tanki should just give them access to the test server, so they can make the videos without disrupting the gameplay.

Agreed, but there would still be enough buyers to support the quality of the content output, which is generally contrary to what players want in my experience - I believe it was New Years 2014/15 where players were unhappy with the New Years map, and the devs brought back the previous years one. Has anything like that happened recently? Feel free to inform me. Bad updates that players OBVIOUSLY don't like include MMS, while there are other updates that are just bad, such as the new Massacre. Would you include $29 as a little bit? I have a friend who bought the Tornado kit, but then regretted it, because it gave him an unfair advantage. D'you know what he did? He made a new account! He got through the ranks quickly to WO1, and now he just plays on that. Simple. If you're unhappy with buying a kit at a low rank, then all you do is make a new account. I'll remind you it takes like a week to get to ranks where the kits are under $10. That's the kind of person we want in Tanki and society, the person who is not too entitled that they can't just work their way up, but feel the need to buy. It's terrible training for life. But anyways, I want to play with the people who are overpowered because they worked hard, got a couple good containers, whatever. I don't mind losing when I know the person worked for what they have - that's no problem. As I said, non-buyers could go to buyer server, so friends wouldn't be separated. And again, NOBODY WANTS MATCHMAKING. Maybe the devs haven't caught the hint from everyone who was in Tanki before it came? Perhaps you could tell them? And I don't hate them, I hate when I lose because someone bought their things without having to work and win merely because of good equipment. I don't mind if people buy on Tanki, but PLEASE LET THEM NOT PLAY ME! Was that emphatic enough? Buyers vitiate my ability to have fun because I'm constantly playing against OP equipment.

Not at all, thanks for the input - perhaps you want to confirm my friends request? :) Good point about the advertising. One thing is that it seems like the middling ranks at least seem like a buyer server, where almost everyone buys. Maybe not though... perhaps they could make a new server for non-buyers to go to if they want, a sort of optional one. The restrictions you mentioned could apply there, though.

I'm a bit confused about what you are saying. I believe you were saying that they would have to reduce what you can do and which maps to play on? I don't think this applies to Tanki. Here's my idea in different words: Tanki is exactly the same, you start the account, you play, you rank up - same ranks, same equipment, no crystal limit. Then you decide to buy something that effects your tank's performance, and suddenly, your account is irretrievably on the buyers server, meaning that you only play against buyers. If somebody buys a Premium account, they get access to more crystals and experience points. They are therefore on the buyers server, again irretrievably. Already there is incentive - being a buyer helps you keep up without having to gain skills. One question: how does being a non-buyer affect how many ranks there are? I haven't bought, and I never will. Still, if I keep playing I will reach Legend at some point, and then I've essentially completed the game. Some people keep going, some people use their amazing equipment to make videos to earn some cash, and some start a new account.This would be exactly the same as the non-buyers server. Picture it this way - it's tanki, with no buyers playing non-buyers, and vice versa. Does that make sense? Your examples really have nothing to do with what I just said before or now.

Wow gfy, I was gonna go with Twins, but then Tanki happened... so I ended up Rail, Thunder, and Fire.

I like fast hulls better... maybe though. That's why I was gonna buy Tornado. I'm not sure how long I can go with M1s with all the buyers...

Okay, here's my question: I have 180K crystals (I'm not a buyer, just some lucky containers and a lot of saving), and I play mostly XP, but not in Matchmaking. I have basically all M1s. I'm torn between going for Tornado kit (which I ranked up two days too late to get :() or buying something that I'd use in MM more - don't get me wrong, I use XP in MM sometimes, but it usually doesn't go well because of the maps. By the way, I'm looking for M2 kits. I also use Thunder and Firebird. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Oh that makes sense - didn't they just release Railgun legacy for this challenge? Also, I've heard rumours that next challange will be Railgun XT and Hornet Legacy - I think I'll actually try if that's the case.

Use this nifty thing called google translate :) I've had some time going on google translate after switching to the same team as the people who were killing in parkour battles (eg. Russians), and writing a rant about not killing in Russian using translate. Everyone blows up, and they begin switching to the other team to kill me - can you guess what I do? As an XP/BP user, I hate skilled smokies and unskilled twins, mainly with twins because they knock of f the aim so easily and you don't have to be skilled, you just hold the firing button. Put me down for twins!

On the wiki page it lists Viking and Thunder and one other one as being the only ones to have legacy skins... at least I thought so :)

You may have missed what I said: Anything that could potentially make your tank more powerful (crystals, kits, drones, containers, etc.) automatically reroutes you to the buyer server. Second, who spends $2 on tanki? That buys like, what, two gold boxes? You won't go to buyers server if you buy gold boxes, as they do not definitely give you an advantage in battle. The cheapest product kits in Tanki are roughly three dollars, and they do give you quite a big advantage in battle if they are bought at ~Recruit. They outclass a buyer? Way to show 'em, boys! You can play Tanki without buying! With Maf or me? :) *Edit: Maf, that's one of the bonuses. A person who spends $2 has worse equipment than a person who has spent 10,000, but then they know that they might have to face that person, and it will convince them not to buy. Remember, buying isn't mandatory. If you want to buy, then you know the consequences - besides, who in their right mind spends real money on a silly little game like this?

I didn't know Shaft had a legacy skin - it's really cool. I won't include skins because it begins to make too many options :)
