When you fully upgrade an item, it becomes free. It's obvious not to upgrade an item, only to buy its next modification at full price. Either wait for the next unlock rank (and maybe do the first few cheap upgrades), or upgrade an item completely to buy the next modification for free. According to my memory, the price of the next modification never dropped from upgrades (which, a few years ago, boosted only specific aspects such as damage, impact force of turrets, etc. and not the whole turret). An update combined all different aspects into singular upgrades and made the next modification available for free if fully MUed.

It was pretty great, we should occasionally have such map domination based wars often, maybe twice a year. Just that this time it felt a bit rigged; every faction rose to the top and then fell dramatically. And the problem of defending territories that couldn't be attacked was not solved. Other than that, it was very thrilling.

Mk7 is basically M3. That doesn't make a difference as it's stlll practically M4 vs M3 Juggernauts. What we need is a Mk8 modification, unlocked at Legend, that can't be bought singularly (only obtained by upgrading Mk7 equipment) and basically is the middle modification between older M3s and M4s. So Mk8 Juggernauts vs Mk8+ players would be more reasonable.

I see that happening despite whatever hull I use. I mostly attribute it to either less skill or ghosting (they mostly are moving forward and firing as well, so they might not be able to turn smoothly). But the problem I see is that when they realise this, they stop and take a separate route only when I'm using a heavy hull, like Mammoth or Titan, and sometimes with medium hulls like Dictator or Hunter. The good thing is that Wasp can avoid these "bumps" kind of easily, and Hornet and Viking just let the darn tank pass over them.

Shaft works absolutely great in MM, even in cramped maps. It just requires more skill than being a sitting duck and pointing your laser out, hoping to catch someone.
