Pair freeze and firebird buffs with Hull Alts Update
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Archive
i personally don't believe that shaft or magnum or gauss should even be in the game (anything that can easily one shot... and I use two of them). Your point is? -
I don't think there even is a USA paint for that matter.
-
With the current system, you could still do that anyways. I meant multing and sabotaging in the form of blocking your teammates from capturing flags, and in general, any sort of anti-team behavior. I hardly see anyone intentionally trying to be afk or being bad in battles anymore, so I don't think that's an issue anymore. With the current system, your 750 points gave you 6 stars. With my system, your absolute carrying would have given you 14 stars. I think this is more fair for you, who spent a lot more effort and did a lot more to carry your team to victory. The guy in second place also wouldn't have received 3 stars, he would have received 1, which is more fair because he barely did anything and you did most of the work.

I like the concept of a separate system of earning rewards through stars, and it has some potential, but I think a huge issue with it is that it makes team battles extremely toxic because you are trying to place higher on the list than your teammates (leading to excessive try-harding, toxic atmosphere, multing, sabotoging, raging, etc) The stars system needs a reform so post what you think here. Personally, my opinion is that stars shouldn't be based on your placing. I've played quite a few battles on my alt where I'm in third or fourth place but I have like 450 points, so I get 2 stars instead of 3 because of some super druggers/buyers on my team who average like 650 points. The system would be best if every 100 points in a battle you win, you get 1 star. For every 150 points in a battle you lose, you get 1 star. Also, if you get in a draw with the opposing team, stars are counted as a loss. With my proposed reform, I can compromise and make it 1 star per 125 points. With this method, you are no longer competing against your teammates, and rather competing against the opponent and yourself. I think this is a fair system for everyone.

Basically there's 2 teams that will play offense and defense (they will swap roles mid battle). On the map, there are 2 targets (could be represented by anything) for the offensive team to destroy and for the defensive team to defend. There are 7 rounds and it is best out of 7 (so a team has to win 4 rounds to win). The offensive team has a wasp bomb that can be picked up and carried by anyone on the team. If the bomb carrier is destroyed, he will drop it on the ground for everyone to see and for the offense to pick up. The wasp bomb detonates in 30 seconds after being placed and the defensive team has those 30 seconds to defuse the bomb. The offensive team has 1 minute to plant the bomb. Once you are killed in a round, you do not respawn until the next round begins. How the offensive team wins a round: 1. Destroy all the defenders. 2. Plant the wasp bomb on the target and it detonates, meaning the defenders failed to secure the target in the 30 seconds it detonates. How the defensive team wins a round: 1. Destroy all the attackers only in the condition the bomb never gets planted. The round continues even with the entire offense dead if the bomb is planted. The defenders will have to defuse the bomb in the required time or else risk losing the round, even though they eliminated all of the attackers. 2. Defuse the bomb after it is planted. honestly, this could be a better version of the assault mode

Returning after a long hiatus. Wow has this game changed a lot!

Stars to me aren't that straightforward. It's a pretty controversial thing when I think about it. The pro is that it allows players to unlocked cool rewards. The con is that it hurts the average player who doesn't have hours to play and that it creates a toxic atmosphere. -
Let's talk about some "alarming" aspects of the game...

3. Personally, I don't have much time to play battles and I often have to log off before finishing a battle back in the old days, so I'm very happy with the shorter battles. Though if I do have time for a longer one, I don't play MMS, I just go directly to PRO Polygon CP 4. Yeah I get that challenges ruin battles. Especially this one (I think it's because of the zeus paint reward). But this is not much of an issue to me. -

1. The game is less P2W today than it was 5 years ago, and this is coming from a guy who has never spent any money on the game. 2. Skill > Gear. Sometimes you get placed with people lower ranked than you with weaker stuff, you should win. Otherwise, you will lose. As always, you wins some and you lose some. Except when you have skill, you win a whole lot more than you lose. This is a non issue. 3. As someone who was a huge critic of the MMS system when it came out, I've grown to appreciate it. The only thing I'm not happy about it is that I'm forced to play it instead of PRO battles, reducing my choice in the game. I'm also not happy with how low the EXP yield is in those battles. But the MMS system is extremely good for finding a full, competitive battle fast and having standardized settings. 4. Challenges are challenges, they are supposed to be hard. Or else they wouldn't be challenges. And this is coming from a guy who has never gotten more than 150 stars in a single month long challenge. The worst part about the challenges isn't their extrinsic difficulty and length, but rather the toxic gameplay environment it creates with every drugging ridiculously hard when I'm just trying to enjoy a quick battle. 5. I voted for your last choice. The wacky mechanics have to go. I'm more of a conservative/old-guard player who values skill over the ability to press shift. I also find drones as an extremely stupid, unbalanced, and unnecessary aspect to the game, and I myself don't even know most of the drones or what they do (except for the extremely OP ones). I would be happy to get rid of OD and drones. -

Like a few months ago, M0-M3 was changed to MK0-MK7 scale because micro-upgrading was causing large amounts of imbalance. Vulcan was added like a few weeks after Hammer. I left the game for some time when they added Striker, Magnum, and Gauss (3 turrets that were always unbalanced - either too weak like Striker or too OP like Magnum and Gauss) Semyon Kirov had no role left in the TO community after the players voted him out of the V-Logs and replaced him with a new narrator, so he left for some other gaming company. Cedric Debono (aka theFiringHand) replaced him, then Nives replaced Cedric Debono, then Nives left and then Cedric Debono came back. OUFA got banned for hacking. Then he created an account called i..O.U.F.A, which I think also got banned. The devs haven't busted out GodMode_ON in a long time. Personally, for like the 7 years I've played the game, I've never seen GodMode_ON. -

Pair freeze and firebird buffs with Hull Alts Update
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Pair freeze and firebird buffs with Hull Alts Update Archive
Well, now hull alts are going to be in the game, firebird and freeze are getting nerfed hard in the form of burning and freezing resistance. Are the developers going to release a counterbalance to the nerf against these two turrets specifically? -
Dying really isn't a setback in this game. It's more like a reset. You get to respawn with full health and no cooldowns on your drugs. I think this would actually benefit the team that just lost a point because now they have full potential to score a goal, as opposed to being on half or low health and their drugs have run out and being cooled down.

Petition to add Subway to MMS
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Petition to add Subway to MMS Archive
i really like this map and it gives me nostalgia. Please add this map. -
Isn't this just a disguised nerf to freeze and firebird?

I think it is a great thing that TO is doubling battle funds and MMS Exp, but I think a virus tank killing people and a mission titled "survive till may" is a little too much. I'm OK with them entertaining the players and keeping them indoors, but I disagree mainly on how they are selling virus bundles in the shop, directly making a profit from this.
-
With TX out of the way and the shift to HTML5, I think this can become implemented extremely well.
-
i don't think that's entirely possible
-
It doesn't matter what hull or drone he uses. It doesn't matter what protections his opponent uses. If a turret can be used that effectively, it's clearly overpowered.

The Egg. If you think about it, based on the theory of evolution, some sort of ancestor of the chicken would have to had evolved in the chicken. Of course, evolution isn't like it is portrayed in pokemon, you can't evolve in the middle of your life. As fittest genes get passed on, and the unfit genes die out, this ancestor at one point would have became the modern chicken. So, naturally, the parent of the first chicken in existence would have had to mate with the other parent, then their genes are paired up - turns out it will become the modern chicken - and this is all quantified in the egg that is layed. Once the egg hatches, you get the first chicken. So therefore, the egg came before the chicken.

category Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Juggernaut should be able to drive upside down. Essentially, the tracks/wheels go around the top and bottom of the tank. -
Protection modules are not an excuse to say that something isn't OP. Your justification for why something is able to get 48 kills in a match is because it can do splash. That's just stupid. I can use Magnum or Thunder and I wouldn't be able to come close fo 48 kills. It's because of its ridiculous UNIQUE ability to deal insane amounts of splash damage with a huge radius undetected.
