On that note, I realized that there are 2 sensei_tanker accounts on this forum. How can I go back to the original sensei_tanker account? *if you look in topic perfect, weird, quirky numbers and at like the third post in the thread you will see a different sensei_tanker*

Got back, started playing this new mode called Siege, kinda liked it cause it gives out crazy amounts of EXP due to all of the action... problem is that America's government happens to do things quicker than a team capturing a point in Siege. Proposals: 1. Make the speed of the point proportional to the amount of teammates capturing it. 2. You can't drop a titan dome within the proximity of the point.

The stupidity of players in the "Christmas War" makes me doubt the future of humanity
sensei_tanker replied to von_Cronberg in Archive
As a player who played since the first wars, I can tell you that this has always been a problem... I feel like a lot of players are only in it for the rewards and don't care too much about the rules of the game. I also feel like many of these are alternate accounts, and the players are purposely trying to mult the account for the war so a different account has a higher chance of winning. -

Scammed in HTML5 - I need Crystal Refund
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Scammed in HTML5 - I need Crystal Refund Archive
So I was playing on my alt and I purchased a PRO Battle Pass because in HTML5 for some reason, you're not allowed to play PRO Battles even though you are in a clan. Well, I was 100% sure I bought the pass and then when I went to the PRO Battle List it still said that I needed the pass to play. I was confused and then I thought that I must have forgotten to purchase it and misclicked it. I went to the garage to buy it again and then I bought it, went back to the PRO Battle List, and it still denied me access. I thought I misclicked again so I went back again to buy it, purposely looking at my crystal number and then I watched it decrease, believing that this time I successfully bought it. Then I noticed that I had like 10000 less crystals than I started out with and I STILL CANNOT PLAY PRO BATTLES. -

Why was this feature removed? -
For the special mission chain (tier #43 battle pass), there is a new paint called "Mars". However, one of the garage paints was already named "Mars". Both garage image icons for the paint look considerably different. Are they the same paint or did the devs just forget that they already named one of them Mars?

Score Multiplier Pass Should Be Revived (OPINION)
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Score Multiplier Pass Should Be Revived (OPINION) Archive
Everything here is my opinion: SMP needs to be brought back. Developers removed in 2015 saying they were "testing the game-economy" and that the "removal is temporary"; guess what, they didn't bring it back. The SMP was good for both the players and the devs. For the players, it was the only way that players could sort of trade crystals for EXP (buying EXP was removed a while ago), making the game less tedious and thus more enjoyable (doing so at their own pace). The developers are happy because the players would be more interested in playing the game because they needed to make the most out of 30 days. Now, with the game losing players, devs need a way to keep the current players still playing. Currently, the wars resemble the SMP. Every month, the developers launch a new war with prizes to be obtained if the players play enough. However, the wars themselves are become bland: wars aren't even wars anymore... it's just star grinding with no theme (ok there is technically a theme, but it is only loosely related to the actual event) and no strategy on a cool battle map unlike the first two times (no player cooperation). Plus, by spamming it every month for 12 months a year, it gets as boring and overplayed as an ed sheeran song on the radio. SMP should be reintroduced because it does its job better than the current version of the wars. The main counterargument that mods and devs use against it is that it's bad for the economy because players will have ranked up so high and not have enough crystals to get the better equipment needed. I will refute this claim because now there is an overflow of crystals (containers, wars, double for premium) and not enough EXP (cause forced MMS gives you like 10 exp per battle), and also this was never an actual problem when SMP still existed (the only way that I can think of is if a player buys only paints instead of upgrades). Many other people say premium absorbed the SMP so adding back SMP is redundant. This is true but I think that it would be better if they both existed at the same time, drastically increasing player productivity and activity if they own both at the same time. SMP could be the base bonus accessible for all players, while premium bonus boost is for buyers only. Considering how MMS gives out virtually no EXP, the boosted boost (100% SMP + Premium) will still give out less EXP than a PRO battle of the same length. So, devs don't have to worry about players finishing the game too early (regardless, players will be more encouraged to start alt-accounts if rank up is quicker) and players reaching too high ranks without the crystals to sustain themselves as viable players. An SMP will also fix up the rank-balance issues. Low ranked players using m0s are stuck facing m2s for a very long time because the rank ups are so slow now (and low rank battles give off least EXP due to it having the least amount of action since the gameplay is much slower down there). By being able to ship off the m2 users quicker, we can save the low ranks. This will also prove benefitial for high ranks as well. Rank ups are soooo slow at high ranks and the game needs to be sped up for players to maintain interest in the game. Especially at the Legend ranks, players don't care much about crystals and only care about getting the EXP to grind to the next level, this will help keep legends in the game; furthermore, legends will be more likely to create alternate accounts when they feel that creating another road to legend won't take an eternity. -
Unpopular opinion but in my great wisdom I have come to realize that the game truly is boring without any updates, especially since that there are only like 10 different maps we ever play in.

Arguably my final post in forever in this section, I will try making this count. People are tired of seeing all of these threads about Tanki dying but as a leaving player, I will try offering my original views as to why I'm deciding to leave the game: 1. The players know s i g n i f i c a n t l y more than the developers about the game. The developers have no clue how screwed up the game is at low ranks, which is a slow toxin that will ultimately kill the game within a year. Developers and employees of other high admin positions don't even play the game at all. How are they able to take action on issues in the game if they have no idea what the hell is going on? The developers have never played as an m2 user playing an m4 maxed player. Although the devs have saved the stats and updates of every single thing in the game, they don't understand the most important aspect of the game at all, the gameplay. For example, devs wanted a cool drone and they thought making ones that allows you to quickly spam 30 mines would make gameplay fun. The devs definitely don't pay attention to low ranks at all right now (look at the state of it)... they will pay for that. 2. They believe they know best while the playerbase knows the game better than the developers. Tying back to the first point, the developers still are under the illusion that they know the game better than the players. Since they are unopen to players' ideas, they are basically unwillingly tying the noose around their neck. 3. Incompetency of the Developers. I remember when they were saying the new overdrives were coming within a week from 2018. Then they said they were done except only viking's OD was having problems and was holding them back. Now it's March and those are still not there. When I made a topic inquiring about this, Maf quickly shot it down. Developers are so into making money, designing all these new features that literally don't work and are counterproductive, that the most important aspect of the game, the GAMEPLAY, has grown all moldy. It is bland, boring, and unbalanced. The most important point is: The developers are in denial. Many moderators and admins have been saying "oh the game is dying because flash is dying". This is stupid. That is implying that no matter what the devs do, the game is meat. They have been believing this instead of realizing that they are the ones driving their game into the ground. The game was VERY ALIVE in 2013, while heavily played games such as GTA 5, COD MW3 came out as well...

Valid Spreading fire to enemies upon contact
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Spreading fire to enemies upon contact Ideas and Suggestions
The last time I checked, Firebird burning was way too OP and needs a nerf. However, the devs, who babysit the firebird instead of balancing the game, choose to keep it balanced and nerf the already nerfed freeze again. Here is a new mechanic that will nerf the firebird in a unique way. If your tank is set on fire from any enemy (doesn't have to be firebird, the annoying vulcan alt and the hammer one can also do this), you can try spreading the inferno that is engulfing your tank onto enemies (teammates unincluded 'cause that would induce multing) by making solid contact with the enemy tank. Optimally, this mechanic would also need to be added after more realistic burning/flaming effects are adding on the tank where the tank is actually on fire instead of just sunburned, so it would look much more natural to spread the fire. To those who believe that this does not make any sense, this was actually a naval strategy used in ancient asian civilizations. Small boats would be lit completely on fire and using the wind and the current, they would sail all the way to the enemy lines and make contact with the enemy ships. The enemy ships would be set ablaze, weakening their defense before the battle actually started, and then the actual navy troops would storm in from their boats, picking off those who abandoned ship. The new mechanic does not give the enemies the same amount of burns you have, moreover, it will be like the enemy tank will be lit up to about 50% of your tank's temperature. -

So I took an short hiatus from TO for slightly more than a month, which was quite enjoyable despite all the real-life work I have to do instead. But now, there are no recognizable names on the forum (except for maybe the viking4s guy) left lol. What happened? Where did everyone go? Is TO actually dead now? Did history repeat itself with the rehiring of Cedric Debono? I'm probably done with TO very soon. -

Valid Fire/Ice on Walls and Ground
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Fire/Ice on Walls and Ground Ideas and Suggestions
Freeze and Firebird feel so incomplete to me and it is very dissatisfying when I take a freeze or a firebird, shove it into a wall, shoot, and nothing happens. My idea is that if my freeze or firebird hits a surface that is not a tank, flames or frost (depending on turret used) will start to appear on that surface. I will also be OK for this feature to be a $3 for special effect type of thing so this idea looks more attractive to the devs.- 26 replies

Why are Isidas and Thunders noobs?
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Why are Isidas and Thunders noobs? Archive
Why do players using both weapons not know how to turn their turret ever? -
As you already know, TO has become more and more P2W with each update and a solid majority of players have spent money on the game at one point or another. Arguably, TO is making more money now than it had 5 years ago simply because there is an extremely high percentage of buyers even though with a player base exponentially smaller than it had before (although this cannot be proven right now because devs don't like releasing stats about TO). Many say that F2P players are unnecessary for the game simply because they do not contribute to the game by spending money on the game, whereas the money would be the dev's paycheck or go to server maintenance, etc. Many right now argue that it is OK for F2P players to leave the game and the devs will not be losing anything. Many claim that these updates were a deliberate series of decisions made by TO's financial team on how to maximize their profits. Many people, F2P and P2W players alike, believe that TO is dying because flash gaming is dead. Right now I'm writing in attempt to refute these claims. Although TO may be somehow making more money now than ever, this will not last very long. There is no purpose in spending money in the game when everyone else has spent money on the game and you are spending money to get on an equal level with other players instead of spending money to get ahead of other players. The F2P player is why many players choose to spend money on the game. Because there will always be a decent subset of players that will have significantly worse equipment than you do if you buy, players will be inclined more to spend money on the game to be able to take advantage of this. However, once the F2P player is gone, the only players there are people with the best equipment possible. Now, the casual buyer will be the "new F2P", split from the hardcore P2W. The casual buyer will no longer spend money on the game to beat F2P, they will have to spend money on the game to have a chance to compete against the hardcore P2W. It is much more attractive to spend money on something to become better than someone else, rather than just to be able to compete with everyone else. The casual buyers will have 2 options, invest more money on the game, or quit. Considering how the casual buyers have chosen to be casual rather than hardcore with their previous purchases, most casual buyers will not invest any more money in TO and the casual buyers leave the game. Now all we have are the hardcores. Now, as a hardcore P2W player, everyone else will be equally as good as you in this new TO playerbase. You can try spending more and more money but you will realize that other players are doing the same thing, so you still do not have any advantage against other players. A hardcore player spends that much money because he/she enjoys crushing players who are weaker and many will be disgusted with how there are no longer any weaker players to crush. Similarly, hardcores would also now be spending just to keep up with other hardcores, instead of spending to get an advantage. This would not be very attractive and many hardcores would leave through frustration and realizing that no matter how much money they spend (up to thousands of $$$!), everyone else would be just as good. As some leave, more will be inclined to leave this already miniscule playerbase, and then TO will be pretty much dead. Right now, all new players are like baby turtles, just hatched from their shell on the beach. The buyers will be able to make it to the ocean, while the F2P players will be plucked by a seagull and eaten as they attempt to make it to the ocean. This hypothetical "beach", is the ranks spanning from recruit all the way to warrant officer. The devs deliberately added features to these ranks to make progression impossible for F2P players, for example the Keeper and Dark Energy kits which can be unlocked before many players even know what an M1 eve nis. Hardcore buyers will probably M2 these asap and then all of the F2P players will leave. I cannot compete in my alternate accounts simply because hardcore buyers will always have the advantage now. There are currently no more F2P players coming into the game, the F2P is slowly dying. Once F2P dies the entire scenario above would unfold. Tanki turns into almost a Pay-2-Play game because you need to pay in order to compete at all. And then Tanki dies. Now, to counter the arguments against how TO would die instead because flash gaming is no longer popular. Although this has been a major factor towards why the playerbase is so small right now, I usually see players leave the game because they are raging over bad updates, for instance many players left right after MMS, Premium introduction, etc. And, flash gaming is practically dead, yet TO can still muster a decent playerbase. This shows how TO will not die due to Flash gaming becoming out of style. Agree or Disagree? Please discuss.

Valid Minesweeper while waiting for battles
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Minesweeper while waiting for battles Ideas and Suggestions
Minesweeper while waiting for battles As you may already know, the mobile TO version has a tic-tac-toe game that you can play against the AI while you are waiting. Tic-Tac-Toe is very simple and the possible moves are very limited and is not that fun. I think that a better choice is to add Minesweeper while waiting for battles. It is a cool mind game and is very fun and no that hard to code. If your battle loads before you complete your minesweeper puzzle, you can resume your puzzle the next time you load something. This game should be available on all devices, including the standard PC TO. -
