  1. I still have no clue what I'm supposed to do with Scorpion's lock-on. It's too slow/inaccurate to hit a moving target and campers have enough brain cells to rub together to hide under cover so it can't hit them. It also only hits a tiny area for some reason despite being a giant swarm of explosive munitions. It's such a shame because I think Scorpion is the best looking turret to come out in the past few years, I love the sound of the cannon.

    After sleeping on it a bit, sure whatever. As long as the Augments stay as endgame bonuses I'm fine with it. I'd still rather just pay a monthly subscription for a version of the Tanki I grew up with since I think most of the people nostalgic for the old game are nostalgic for playing it as kids when they had infinite free time to grind XP and level up. That's the thing I remember the most, you could spend years of your life playing and earning Crystals with enough effort, whereas now you rank up so fast they had to add five more levels to every piece of equipment just to keep up.

    So Augments are in classic? Not having a battle list would complete the bingo... Why even put forth the effort if you're going to be this tone deaf? Just keep milking cash from oil sheikh kids and ipad toddlers.

    Matches last 90 Seconds

    Why would you leave after ninety seconds? That's ninety seconds of supplies, effort, and life you'll never get back. Always see a battle through: You have missions you can work on and enemies to destroy. Nothing makes me more satisfied than personally spiting buyers and sweatlords at every opportunity.
  5. Man, if only there was like... a list. Of all ongoing battles created by the matchmaker or by other players. And you could manually select a battle, team, and gamemode. Nah that would distract the IPad kiddies from opening containers.

    I think it would be cool if Magnum could load the rugby ball into the barrel and shoot it directly off the map. This is because, in my opinion, Rugby is a silly gamemode and a waste of server space.

    The stupidest sight in tanki today

    My much more successful alt Titan-Rail has encountered a very unique problem. On it I have Mk. 4 Railgun maxed out WITH Large Calliber Rounds. Using that turret with double damage I am still literally INCAPABLE of one-shotting the bots. You know why? At that account's rank (two diamonds, I forgor) they have a UNIVERSAL 50% resistance. Even a WASP takes two hits. Mines barely do half their health in damage. This is just ridiculous, I can one-shot an equivalent player (even medium or sometimes heavy hulls!) but the useless clankers get special treatmeant because of how worthless they'd be otherwise? Talk about backwards design. And the worst part is that a human player, the ones keeping the game alive, can't even PURCHASE damage resistances until way later in the game! This game has a serious problem with progression as a whole but that's an entirely different rant...

    For hulls - Dozer blade +Push force is greatly enhanced, allowing for a battlefield to be cleared of wrecks in your path. -It looks ugly.

    I feel like between the outline of your tank being visible from a distance and lag compensation Railgun is way less fun to fight against. The game practically does all the aiming and curves your shot mid-flight to hit people behind cover. Sketchy shots aren't new mind you, but they weren't as common as they are now and were always attributed to lag compensation/ping whereas now I feel like the turret just has a hidden extra cone where the shot will still hit even if your aim is off.

    Let´s discuss Scorpion!

    I just don't get the appeal. Gauss is a better anti-camping turret and Magnum can do what the lock on does without taking 2-3 business days between every shot. The tap fire does decent damage but the DPS is so low and without splash damage it's not really worth it unless you want a single Wasp/Hornet dead.

    Disable collision for bots with friendlies

    In addition to a multitude of other problems the bots bring to the game they're also very primitive. I don't know the specifics of how they navigate each map but from experience they tend to just dogpile onto the main path and stare at each other. They also have an annoying tendency to push into you until you let them pass, which can shove you out of cover and throw off your aim. Since the devs don't like costly, programming intensive solutions like improving the bots' behaviour the simplest solution is to just make them phase through friendly tanks but not enemies. This is a bot-exclusive property because it would make parkour impossible for players.

    "Tanki Classic" release

    I'd go as far as to say the game should be a paid experience to begin with with benefits like infinite supplies and ranking up automatically unlocking equipment/upgrades. Add achievements and references for the old fans. This is already a niche thing a vocal minority of the fanbase wants myself included, and I would pay decent money or even a subscription to have a nostalgic recreation of my childhood without all of the negatives. Also I had a random idea: This game's equivalent to Juggernaut/TJR should be a gamemode where there's a powerful Godmode_ON everyone is trying to destroy.
  14. Judging by the in-game description and the names of the augments I'd say it's a laser. So realistically it wouldn't make a sound at all except maybe sizzling metal where it impacted.

    For Railgun: Sabot Rounds +Hitting closer to center mass does guaranteed critical damage -Cannot randomly deal critical damage "This specialized ammunition is designed to tear through steel, components, and out the other side of enemy hulls! Due to lacking any explosive filler or spalling effect the internal damage is maximized when aimed directly at vital areas and lessened on glancing shots."

    Focusing entirely on K/D as a metric for performance is a terrible idea. What about an Isida who spent the entire game mainly healing the Juggernaut and defending it from enemies? Does that player deserve less rewards despite arguably performing a vital role on the team than the Wasp that kept making kamikaze runs on the enemy Juggernaut to bomb it? Does the Magnum that spent the entire game hiding behind a wall on the far corner of the map deserve the biggest reward because they technically never died and got the most kills without dying?

    I think the recent change to Isida should be the other way around: Healing should cost nothing but dealing damage or missing costs energy. With how much energy healing costs it's almost worthless.

    Ideas for Augments!

    For hulls: Radar Jammer - Masks your signature on the mini-radar and grants immunity to Hornet's overdrive. At close enough proximity the effect no longer works, but by then it won't matter... For Isida: Hippocratic Oath - Healing teammates costs no energy, but damage to enemies is greatly reduced.
  19. This has been the case since before gear score was a thing, sonny. The game falls off after WO5 and beyond unless you're one of the buyers. Even then it's a toxic and spiteful game of petty revenge and running the most efficient loadout. Back in my day all you had to worry about was people with lots of supplies or drugs as we called them. Now that's just baseline gameplay.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

    The most powercrept turret. I remember when this came out and people were talking about how broken and overpowered it was because of the impact force, boy were we in for it in a few years with way worse design decisions. I long for the days when Noise CTF was just incredibly unbalanced and not a death sentence for the lower spawn from a certain artillery turret. Vulcan also has the distinction of being the first new turret to release when I started playing (unless you consider Railgun XT as a separate turret like it was back then). Why is it so mid now? Because the total time to kill for everything else has gone down. There's just no niche for a long range sustained damage turret that requires focus fire. You get sniped by turrets you can't even retaliate against in seconds. Combine that with loads more sources of splash damage and you just can't win. But oh man, this turret has some high highs! Nothing quite like getting set up in a choke point and mowing down entire groups of enemies as they push in.
  21. After relapsing again I can say it's a lot better off than when I left. No more constant Wasp bombs killing you as soon as you spawn, supplies are kept in check by that new drone, crystals and supplies are impossible to run out of... I still miss a lot of things: Mines killing everything that isn't a heavy hull for sure Buying equipment directly instead of it being gachaslop Longer battles (which seem to be a thing once you reach a certain rank thankfully) And of course the old art style. Not the OLD art style but the one from around 2012.

    Back in my day you used to be able to do a thing called "flanking" where you could then shoot enemies without being seen. Of course now there's a giant radar in the corner of the screen showing everyone's exact location along with outlines around anything you can hit so it's all but useless for anything but Magnum.

    I've had fun with Magnum (RGC) but I'm also not concerned with my performance. I just like guessing where to shoot and seeing big number make monke brain happy.
  25. Not to get all "Old man yells at cloud" buuuut... Back in my day the matches were longer. And you could freely join whichever one you wanted. It was great.
