    Writers' Corner Discussion

Just a small note to everyone. If you click the "post" button for any piece you wish to submit to the AWS, it will be submitted to the reporter team. I can't speak for anyone else, but my hands have been a little tied so I haven't been able to get to very many articles, although I'll try my best to get through them. Once again, I have no idea about anybody else.

    Sure, that's fine.

    [Issue 77/78] Act It Out!

It'll be split evenly among all players who take part.

    [Issue 77/78] Act It Out!

Unfortunately not. You should try to recreate the scene from the movie.

No worries. Yes, it did get posted into the AWS.

    Math

I just understood why derrivatives work the way they do and it is like I was living under a rock this whole time! Thanks everyone for helping me on the way!

    Math

No, not in that sense. To put it in a somewhat blunt manner, artists do what mathematicians can without any idea about what they do while mathematicians can do everything artists do knowing exactly what they are doing. In my opinion, Math is easier and better than art. I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler, so that might be why :P .

    Miracle [Tankiverse Fanfic]

Oh, I must mention that articles published sooner have got nothing to do with the quality of an article.

    Miracle [Tankiverse Fanfic]

Approved! I quite enjoyed reading this article. I can't really think of any changes (perhaps because I'm in a rush so if anybody notices anything I didn't pick up, please let me know). Well done!

    [Issue 77] Parkour Weekly - Season 1

Floating Mammoths, tanks on buildings and incessant gossip. In a normal match, such sights are never found. Parkour, however, is a different story. In parkour matches, one can find all sorts of crazy acts happening. Despite parkour lacking any apparent purpose (barring the obvious ability to brag), it has certainly gained popularity at a breakneck pace. Something as pointless or tricky to do as it was certain to have a few contests pinned down in its name, and the latest one, Parkour Weekly - Season 1, is the last (Haha! I know you got worried that this is the last ever parkour contest) one before the Masters of Parkour Contest. So, what is this contest? Well, Parkour Weekly - Season 1 is quite a unique kind of parkour contest. This time, it’s not just about filming an epic stunt and submitting it - there’s a lot more formalities and subtleties to this it. Without further ado, let’s get into it! 1. Completely reworked prizes! If you were the sort of person who’d be left scratching their head and searching for answers when they were clearly written, then just wait until this contest goes live. This contest will have vastly different, and to a certain extent, strange, reward system. This time, you will get rewards for each round, which means that there’s no overall winner. Each round, the highest scorers of that round (the players who participated in the most wicked and epic stunts) will be provided/given the best rewards. Nevertheless, there will be small prizes along the way for videos with, for example, the craziest or hardest stunts to execute. 2. A strange new judging system! If this contest hasn’t broken enough norms already, brace yourself for the most significant one! As opposed to most contests, this one will have a very unusual system for deciding who wins a particular round (since there aren’t any overall winners). There will be a category which is determined by the official organisation, one category for the official clubs and the last for the players themselves to decide (although players can’t vote for their teams). 3. You can’t just make a single video and hope to win the contest. Traditionally, parkour contests were quite short because you just had to do one round and then that’d pretty much decide whether you’d move on or leave the competition. Parkour Weekly - Season 1 provides you with the ability to prove yourself multiple times. There’s also no elimination system in this contest. Naturally, there will be numerous rounds and your team, and you decide if you want to participate in all, some or none of those rounds (and I’m not sure why anyone would sign up in the first place if you plan to take part in none of the rounds). Speaking of making a video, your team can’t have a Spectator filming your video. The person who records the stunts isn’t allowed to use Spectator mode, although this person can change from round to round. Additionally, the cameraman can’t participate in any of the stunts past helping document it. 4. You can’t entirely choose the map you want. Previous parkour contests had a relatively loose format, other than the notoriously complicated Parkour Survival. You could choose how many players you wanted in the video, what stunt you would do, which turrets and hulls you could use. Well, say bye-bye to that freedom, and say hello to... I think you get it by now. This time, there isn’t that much choice in what maps you would like to play in. This means that you must parkour in a predetermined map. Nevertheless, teams are allowed to vote for the map they would want to parkour in, and the vote is what determines the map. Once the map is selected, that’s the map where all tankers will do their tricks. 5. It’s big! If you didn’t guess that this contest is going to be big by the fact that this contest has an article to announce it, rather than an announcement, perhaps this will help you. The contest was created in cooperation with official parkour clubs once the contest organizers came up with a prototype idea. For the first time in parkour history, there was a collaboration between the German and English parkour clubs, which goes to show the power of parkour. The new parkour contest is quite impressive! While it does go in a completely different direction than that of the regular parkour contests, the new system is pretty cool. It’s as if Tanki was so tired of hearing the complaints of people who complained upon losing, that they decided to make an “everybody’s a winner” policy. All jokes aside, I would highly recommend players to take part in this contest. If you have any questions, just send a PM to SkeletorXVIII!

    Math

Well, yes. Maths is art. Literally. All of the different strokes of a painting can be modelled by a skilled mathematician. If one wanted to create sculptures, it could also be done in the 3 dimensional coordinate plane. Nevertheless, math is more certain than art and art is highly subjective I think..

Yes, the AWC is no more. Consequently, it's now the AWS. KillerGnat should, however I'm still just a candidate and not yet an actual reporter.

Ah That makes sense. I thought that you wouldn't have published it in the strange format you did on purpose.

    [Issue 77/78] Act It Out!

Have you ever been much for& acting? Now's your chance to prove yourself and earn crystals in the process. The contest is simple - re-act a scene from any movie in Tanki, whether it be Frodo throwing the ring into Mount Doom or Optimus Prime fighting Megatron in New York. You can chose to make a video of any scene that you please. To make things organized, we have a set of rules. Please read them before participating! You must post your entry in the form of a Youtube video posted in this topic. Any entries which should like to be considered for the contest must be posted here. You must provide a link to the scene from the movie which you are using. The scene must be appropriate for the forum. Your entry will be judged based on how close your entry is to the given scene. The entry submitted must be of an action scene. An action scene is where there is a fight going on between more than one distinct characters, which means no invisible enemies, no split personalities and drones cannot be your enemy because they cannot be "fought" with. You cannot submit a monologue or speech scene; there must be fighting of some sort. If you have any doubts about what does and what doesn't qualify as a fight scene, please ask them here, in this topic. Other rules that may apply. The crystals will be split evenly among all players who took part in the video. The premium time will be rewarded in the form of one Promo code which will be given to the author of the entry. Prizes 1st place: 70 000 crystals + 3 days of Premium time 2nd place: 55 000 crystals + 2 days of Premium time 3rd place: 45 000 crystals + 1 day of Premium time 4th place: 30 000 crystals 5th place: 20 000 crystals Deadline: 30th August, 2018. Good luck to all participants! </p>

    Impersonation - Chapter One

Approved! I find your concept to be quite interesting, so I'd like to so where you'll go with this. Nevertheless, I do have a few suggestions in regard to your story. Pace and Plot: This was by far the biggest thing I noticed about your story. Initially, you start out describing Leroy and his family and you spend a good amount of time describing this. I imagined that your story would have to do with these "Harper" people. Later, and unfortunately rather abruptly, you switched focus to Leroy and the "fight scene". I would have liked it better if you described it in detail. Also, I assume there will be some hidden plot here, but you said all the allies fell lifeless. This implies that the gas is deadly, in which case it isn't likely that he would survive. Additionally it would have been better if there was at least a small sneak-peak of who these enemies are. Formatting: This seemed to be a fairly prominent issue in your article. I felt that your story wasn't organized very well because it was somewhat strangely put together (which I assume might be because you moved your story from one place to another). Welcome to the AWC!

    The Lonely times...

Approved! Loved it! I think you write quite beautifully. I have no suggestions because this was written pretty much perfectly for me, except for very minor grammar issues (like using "a" instead of "an" during one occasion). Keep it up! Also, welcome to the AWS!

I am unsure if I could help you, but how may I help you?

    Math

Oh, I'll change the name of the topic from "Math" to "The Maths Club (TMC)". You can continue to just post regularly, but I felt an informal club would be a good idea.

Interview with Torbon_BoS - Event Admin

Approved! I quite enjoyed reading this interview. It was quite informative and different than most interviews in that there was a lack of a feeling that you were trying to troll people. Nevertheless, I did notice a few things about it. Grammar: I found this aspect of your article to be particularly lacking. There were quite a few instances where you didn't make sense or your meaning was obscured. I would suggest that you consider proof-reading your article to catch the big mistakes and use editing software such as Grammarly for smaller, punctuation type mistakes. Humor: This aspect, as I said before, isn't really that necessary, but I feel that with a bit of non-sarcastic humor would certainly make your interview more interesting.

    Let's Discuss Game Balance

Freeze needs to be balanced Before anybody says that I should use protection, please take note that I already do, with an m4 Viking and m4 Magnum, but M3 Freeze can still destroy me very easily. While the turret was too weak before, I think it is too strong now. I would suggest that it gets a nerf in damage of about 50-100 points to make it balanced.

    Math

Does anybody want to be part of the math club? No commitments involved.

Ah I see. Much as I'd like to, I won't be able to make it as I'll be busy then.
