Contest [Issue 77/78] Act It Out!
LOLKILLERTOTHEDEATH replied to LOLKILLERTOTHEDEATH in Newspaper Archive
The time to participate in the contest for this month is over, and it will continue to the next issue due to there being only a single entry. -
Approved! Certainly an interesting read. I find your fascination with Wolverine fascinating. I do assume that this follows from the Logan timeline in the movies. Nevertheless, I did find a few things that you certainly could improve. Grammar: This seemed to be somewhat lacklustre. The piece would have been much more enjoyable if this aspect was taken care of. I found a single instance where your meaning was completely obsucred with numerous other cases where there were slight grammar problems. You don't have to spend hours proof-reading your article, but reading it out loud once (to help you find any places where your meaning is obscured) and using editing software (such as Grammarly) will greatly fix this. Format: This isn't that important, but I highly recommend that you format your article better. The way you put together some lines was quite bizzare, for starters. If you are unaware of this, the forum standard for text is Trebutchet MS with font size 14, unless you are writing a header or a footer. Try to develop the plot more: I personally feel that this was something of a problem. Through the story, it felt like you were just trying to justify why Logan came back to life (or never died, as you put it). I would highly recommend that you focus on developing the plot more by, perhaps. Nonetheless, you did include his daughter, but that was indeed to the very end of your article. Welcome to the AWS!

Approved! I will admit, I was a wee bit confused at first, but after reading it again I thoroughly enjoyed it. I caught one or two grammar mistakes, but nothing that's overly significant.

Approved! Nicely written. I couldn't find any mistakes barring a misplaced comma.

Approved! Once more, wonderful to read your story. As usual, I couldn't really find any mistakes.

Contest [Issue 77/78] Act It Out!

Today is the last day to submit your entries! -
It can vary wildly. Mostly it depends on which (if any) reporter is free. I cannot speak for the rest of us, but I have been very busy lately and so have not had much time to go through the AWS. Should I get the chance to edit yours, I will send you a copy first before I make my suggestions.

Did he use the product rule? IT doesn't seem like it, which is why I ask.

I'd rather that not be done. Nevertheless, since I am judging your "Acting" I'd need the scene from the movie (preferably in the form of a youtube link) so that I can compare it and go on from there. -

Might I ask if you could put in the scene from the movie? It looks to be well in the rules, so thanks! -
I just mean to say exactly that. I mean that the power, quotient and other rules end up not being of very much use in taking their derrivatives.
-
I don't belive you did. I somehow got the right answer. Thanks for helping me!
-
Please do show me! I think our answers are almost the same. Mine appears to just not be fully simplified.
-
I meant (5x^4 + 7x^2 - 2x)/ x^4 I tried to use the quotient rule, so I may or may not have done so properly.
-
\frac{\left(5x^4+7x^2-2x\right)}{x^4}
-
Would that be: 20x^3 + 21x^2 -12x+3 ?
-
I don't know if I know what differentiation is. Perhaps you can help me assess how much I do. I know about the product, chain, power and quotient rules. I also know that a few functions (such as e^x and sin(x)) have unique derivatives. So with integration, does that mean you get the slope of a function and you anti-derrive it?
-
What is integration?

Molly's - Introduction [Tankiverse Fanfic]

Approved! Not much to suggest here. I think that it's a pretty good story. I particularly loved the imagery and details as well as your choice of words. -
Unlike most people here, I did something absolutely ridiculous. So I had a neighbour who would speak in a somewhat high voice. At the time, I found this quite irritating. Onenday, I notice that the neighbour was riding a bike with a friend. I, on myncycle, decided that it was a good idea to have a head on collision with the bikengoing at 20 or 30 km per hour. Fortunately I survived. Surprisingly, this was just one of my many misadventures that I have now come to question.

Approved! I can't really think of many edits to suggest as this article is your opinion on a matter and it's not a guide or story (which isn't a problem). I'd just like to clarify that paraphrasing is not much of a problem for the AWS section. It is highly unlikely that you will end up writing something completely, 100% never before thought of. What does become a problem is just directly copy-pasting articles (plagiarism) or taking bits and pieces of other articles (such as copying the requirements to become an event moderator from the forum and getting the other details from the Tanki wiki. Nevertheless, an interesting read.
