Well, it could be worked around. There could be 2 conditions, at least one of which needs to be fulfilled to stay in the battle. Example : 100pts/5min or 30percentil pts of the team. Another thing that could be done is to guarantee 2stars for kicked players, if they were eligible for them. Also to prevent the battle from being emptied, these players would be kicked only if another player is ready to replace them. I think this idea has its potential and if it was to be implemented in some form, it could have been done gradually - at first the treshold could be only 20pts/5min, then it could be brought up to 40pt/5min, data analysed, counter-measures taken to prevent weak players who are actually trying from being kicked out etc.

Such battles are doomed to early end anyway + if the time limit is like 5min, the battle would be already over before the limit sets in.

I could imagine it working like the inactivity timer (although less obtrusive of course). You would get a warning that you need to gain at x more points in x min or you will be kicked out.

I agree micromissions as present in the current mobile version could cause just what you described. Maybe if there was like 6micromissions available for each battle, with a maximum reward being awarded for any 3 of those completed, this issue could be avoided. Everyone could find their way of helping the team while still earning full stars. (The added missions could be for example - heal a flag bearer .... HP, return ... Flags, et cetera).

I have to admit I do not use magnum because I do not have the skills necessary and am too lazy to train at the moment. With that said, I agree it would be a great shame to take this away from players who can use it proficiently as is. Magnum was designed to be a hard to use turret from the get go.
