There thinking behind it in my opinion is to squeeze as much cash out of buyers as they can then move onto the next piece of equipment they think they can get the most out of buyers and on and on the blood sucking goes. F2P players are collateral damage in their ever increasing ways to exert cash from the buyers. Simple solution dont buy and use what you have got for better or worse. My game time is now under half what it used to be as i refuse to be drawn into buying anymore to keep up with mainly the protections i need at my present rank.Nice and slowly does it and upgrade what i have got until i reach the rank to unlock better protections.

Because you now have to BUY the heat resistance because your normal fire protection module is pathetic. it's a choice between that are heat immunity.your miffed because at a educated guess your not a vulcan player. Heat immunity +incendiary are a powerful combo but thats all vulcan has, turret speed is pants dps is ok i guess, and the wind up time is ok. As i have stated many many times in many many posts HORNET is the game changer not any single turret/alt/drone, its HORNET simple as that. Get rid of overdrives you get rid of a big part of the imbalance in the game.Tell you what i don't like shaft so i think they need a damage nerf say on the lines that a wo1 might do. Leave vulcan alone and concentrate solely on HORNET/OVERDRIVES in general.

Vulcan needs no nerf,as always the culprit is HORNET'S overdrive which negates all protections and with magnum destroys all in it's path. If you take away the heat immunity from vulcan then its goodbye vulcan because a lot of players will just stop using it. You want a more balanced game get rid of OVERDRIVES because vulcan/magnum/rail etc are not game changers persey. its HORNET. Every battle i go into regardless of rank if there is a hornet equipped with vulcan /magnum then more often than not they top the leaderboard ,win or lose. Hornet has been a problem ever since overdrives were introduced and yet not a single nerf has been done to bring that hull into line with the other hulls,all of which do very badly when coming up against hornet with an activated overdrive especially if it's equipped with magnum. Hornet is the problem, nothing else.

Well i have tried test server twice now with new hull and the same thing happened.1 the overdrive healed me when my hp was low but also healed the enemy 2 i couldn't deal any damage even when i switched to hunter and used freeze instead of smokey. 3 not being able to turn turret is a huge let down and in its current state ares will get wiped out by normal game play. 4 its novel but not for me.5 i can't see serious players using this hull even if they sort the glitches out because of the alien concept of not being able to turn the turret.6 without turret movement it's just not gonna stack up in proper battles and will be next to last in 90% of battles.

its a buyers game im afraid, im seeing captains with mk7 combos the game has went nuts.

whoever masters this i take my hat off to em for having the patience and the skill that is really really gonna be needed to compete in battles.

i got the hang of the controls and what they do but its a alien concept compared to normal movements......good luck any1 getting used to this to have any impact in battle.

HORNET'S overdrive that is the real issue, all others are slight annoyances compared to this OTT hull.

Still my argument holds it's best to wait and use whatever cry you can save for a drone that will last you all the way thru the ranks with good results.(my opinion of course)

Yeah but the more upgrades the better chance of surviving in battle and driver is pants compared to defender and i didn't no that about upgrades as i maxed out my defender straight away as i had the cry to do it. And it's the 1st account iv'e used it on as i liked to use sprinter a lot.

I would hang on until you can get defender you would only be wasting cry on the drones below that. They are ok at the very low ranks, but not really any good from 3rd lieutenant onwards where you can come up against MK6 combo's. My best advice from experience, save up for defender and upgrade it as much as you can.This is a short video of what a maxed out defender can do. notice the time it takes to activate DA after ive 1st activated DD.

2 TURRETS 2 HULLS and as many high end protection modules you can afford.If you want to last in battle without getting killed to many times i suggest defender drone and mu it as much as you can. Drones are the only things that don't need upgrading at different ranks meaning you don't have to keep buying the same drone to compete at diff rank levels. It will still cost you a fortune in cry but it's the only way to compete if you want to make any impact in battles.
