To be honest, I like the hype ongoing about it, I have a similar school (big) project where there's a planned release in a year or two, and to be honest, the release plan will most likely be inspired from the way it is from tanki classic. I like the way it went under the light pretty quickly, then sometime later, not too long enough to kill that hype, the bundles appear, and in the middle of it, you've got the Vlog reviving that hype all the time. I have to salute that work.

Python is actually great for a lot of things like networking, architecturing, AI, etc... I never used Flask for web, always PHP, which I found slow, and quite obsolete (hopefully hazel agrees with that statement), so I moved to react. I have heard python isn't that optimised to be frank, compare it with C/Cpp and you'll see how hard it gets to get the same speed for an AI for example.

As I said, each augment has downsides, and you proved my point. You may agree or not about saying it's overpowered, but the point is that this tesla augment is not "stronger than ever". It itself has downsides too, which maf resumed well.
-
This is surely not the first and last augment that is considered OP. An augment always have upsides and downsides, if we take comparable augments. To add a few more examples, the examples below were also considered OP upon their release, but things evolved Firebird: Critical Fix, Compact fuel tanks Freeze: Stable Mix Isida: Substainable nanobots, Shock nanobot injection, Vampire nanobots Tesla: Other than shock therapy - Electroturret Hammer: Revolver, Blunderbuss, heavy slugger, hunter duplet Twins: Plasmatron, Turbo plasma accelerators Ricochet: Helios Vulcan: Shredder Smoky: Autocannon, Explosive Rounds (even EMP, stun were considered OP years ago) Striker: Faust, Hydra, Tandem Thunder: Hyperspeed shells (considered very OP back then too) Scorpion: Tornado Magnum: Destroyer, Mortar Railgun: Hyperspace rounds (can do up to 2M damage by the way) Gauss: Nemesis (up to 10k damage) Shaft: Quasar Surely this is not the only augment "better than ever" and the only augment considered OP, that was the same for all status effects as well, I remember when pulsar was considered being on the top, or even single effects, such as stun, emp etc... By the way the first EMP status effect came from gauss and I remember when it was a thing and everyone wanted it...now it's not the most interesting augment anymore. It's just to say that things evolve, and after this augment, there will be another one which might be considered more OP (but still have downsides one will ignore about) and so on... It's pretty much the same with any close range turret, a shaft user has low chances to win against Firebird, Freeze, Isida or Tesla whenever it's close attack, it's like that for every close range turret. Take any short range turret against a long range turret at short distance, and the chances to win are very small.
-
I'd disagree with that statement, there are a lot of augments which can be considered OP, and upon their release were considered impossible to counter, just to name a few: Gauss nemesis, Vulcan shredder, Shaft Quasar, Freeze Stable Mix, and more. Honestly, it's not that simple, in small maps, sure, but in Highways, if you use that tesla augment, you might not have a fun time, the map matters a lot, that's exactly like hyperspeed shells, it can be very powerful in big maps, for obvious reasons, but weaker in small maps. Here, it'd be the opposite.

To be honest, I don't think it's really needed, it could create confusion. There are not that many color for every clans that exists in-game, at the end of the day there would just be a chat filled with different colors, and several people with the same one, and that wouldn't make any sense, nor specifically be very UX friendly for someone joining the game who might just interpret it as a moderator's color. This could also be open for abuse such as impressionating helpers and mention there's a special color that "proves" they are among the administration, thus cause more problems. Also, there are already some colors for moderators, and it's used to clearly differenciate them, if some people get the red color as well, it discredits that purpose. Current colorful names in-game aren't given just for the decoration.

Also, I guess it's the perfect topic for that, but here goes the origins of kaisdf ? ~ Credits to @Pythor for that masterpiece

So he never meets you in matchmaking, and we never have that legendary battle kaisdf vs maf, but I'm kind enough to summarize it

Thank you for everything mate, it's been a real pleasure to be a Co-admin with you, a reporter, a SM helper, you'll definitely be missed, you have brought soooooo much to the game, while being an admin, that it's impossible to count. You will definitely missed, and in your own way, you've left a mark on the game, which I'm sure everybody will remember forever. I remember the first time when I was still a player and you became head moderator, like if that was yesterday. My respect for you is immeasurable, and I really hope all your qualities will lead you to the best moment of your life You've definitely entered in the history of the game as a legendary admin, and one of the nicest person ever ~ Love from Sabry

valid Change "profile doesn't exist" to "profile is private" when trying to view a private profile
Sabry replied to Son_Goku in Ideas and Suggestions
I think it says "This profile doesn't exist" because of the way the API is made. Hiding your profile sets your profile on the API to [] (empty), so the algorithm doesn't know if it's private or just doesn't exist at all. Although I might be completely mistaken, that's my experience with the tanki ratings API. However I have to admit it's a great idea, especially with the ratings rework, that means soon or later attention will be focused on it, and I think it'd be a good addition to the game! -
I'd like to add that for eSports it's a bit different, as a leader of a team you manage it, so you are responsible for who do you take in the team, who had a previous ban, why and most importantly to know if the player is currently banned or not matters a lot, otherwise you can't know if he's eligible to join the team. In other words, you have some responsibilities, and you need every cards in your hands in order to take decisions for your team. That cannot be compared to a chat ban for example where you're not linked in any way to that player, at the end of the day, it might just be curiosity. To be honest, but that's only my opinion, this feature would just be "the wall of shame". You more or less said it yourself, "it'd be intimidating", being punished for your actions is one thing, but I don't think being publicly shamed would really contribute into bringing a good atmosphere within the community, actually it's the opposite. I think getting punished for your actions are enough, I don't think it'd have any positive advantage to add it. The only purpose (and that's not a positive advantage) would be to possibly mock players or even provoking them, or just be curious about it. That'll most likely (and for a fact, that's already the case with parkour fighting "exposing" through videos) end up with a lot of videos about banned players, and just even more unnecessary fights.

Little did he know I would wake up from my nap to reply to a guy that hates fr*nch people.... Anyway, here's the long version The short version is that you were one of the OG members and that you'll be missed, however don't forget to ping me for castles or for occasional (or should I say daily at this point) booli, but anyway, here's a Here are some words I have selected just for you, Enjoy that medal of merit P.S: On a scale from 1 to 10, how far do you think a car would go if it did fly in direction to the moon?

Well, technically, that looks like a description of the in-game gifts there was in flash, so technically it exists, or more precisely it existed. It is among the Development Plans to bring it back. To answer your question, if you have the chat closed, it'll show a yellow dot notification.
