Are the game servers down for anyone else? I am unable to even reach the log in page without getting "ControlChannelDisconnectException" error.

If they choose, let’s say, AP and EMP immunities, with no option to change, that still leaves them completely vulnerable to Burning, Cold, Stun and Jammer. Right now they can change to whichever immunity they want based on the most problematic status effect they face. Take that away and, even with two immunities, it’s overall worse off for them. It’s almost certain the devs will add another hull augment slot anyway, it’s just a matter of time.
-
Would they? They won’t be able to switch to protect themselves against whichever status effects are dominant in that battle. They would just have to try and guess or use the “meta” immunities. It will probably eventually happen anyway as the devs release more status effects.

I believe it was sarcasm.

Well, yes that is pretty much an inevitable consequence of MMO games. Tanki is not a MOBA like Dota or LoL. Leaving matches early in those games is punished. Here, on the other hand, we have something much closer to an MMORPG but without the PvE element. Therefore equipment switching during matches doesn’t even make sense in this kind of game because not everyone is equal in stats and attack power. And why should the players spending hundreds of dollars a month be able to switch equipment and have a counter to everything thrown at them? Do esports matches have equipment changing? Pretty sure they don’t, and for good reason. This could be easily solved if they allowed everyone to select equipment at the start of the match, during the pre-match period that they told us about in a recent Vlog. In fact I’m under the impression that the devs are planning something similar to this in any case. Tanki didn’t have equipment changes during battles in its early years and yet I never saw anyone complaining about a “lack of progression” back then. In fact it wasn’t even that bad. You played the cards you were dealt in each battle. And even if does turn out exactly as you say, it’s a sacrifice that should be made for the sake of balance. At least give the F2P players more of a fighting chance. Since the devs have put everything into containers and everyone is at the mercy of RNG, why not extend that to battles as well? Again, this would easily be solved if everyone can equip more than one resistance/immunity and more than four module slots at a time. Moreover adding more slots for everything totally sounds like something the devs would do, although in their case it would be for the sake of profits rather than balance. You say this like it’s not problematic that players are checking the enemy team’s equipment and going into the garage to change equipment every so often instead of focusing on the battle. Right now it’s like a game of rock-paper-scissors with augments and modules and it’s such an annoyance to have to change them up every couple of minutes or so. Better to just get rid of the whole damn thing. Oh, it was implemented, even as recently as 2015, and in my experience it wasn’t nearly as bad as you make it out to be, even with battles back then that were on average far longer than the current 15 minutes.

First time I’ve actually gotten something good from regular containers:

I’ve seen that before, it’s a concept for a stealth tank. Kinda like the invisible tank ability in Tanki X.

And here’s what inspired Ares/Hopper/Crusader/Paladin:

You should make sure to visit the Special Missions tab before attempting to complete those missions. It’s stupid, I know, but that’s the way the devs have made it.

Maxed out players/heavy buyers can change to whichever immunity/status augment they desire. Most F2P players will have just one or two immunities, and perhaps just a couple legendary augments. So they will already be using their strongest equipment upon entering the battle. Moreover the F2P are basically powerless against whatever status augments the heavy buyers feel like using in that battle. So I think if equipment changing is disabled some RNG will be thrown into the mix and the buyers will no longer be able to protect themselves as effectively against the buyers on the enemy team. But the F2P are already suffering at the expense of everyone else and I don’t think it will hurt them nearly as much. Well we already have players leaving battles when they feel like it and for the slightest change in certainty that their team will win. So if not being able to use a certain combo is that consequential to them then those players are welcome to leave the battle and find a different one (which they are already routinely doing anyway for different reasons).
-
Well that just sucks. Saboteur is miles better in this case.

Let’s be honest, if you want a more balanced game then you shouldn’t be able to change equipment during a battle. I may not like the idea that much but I can’t deny that not having equipment changes is the “lesser of two evils”, so to speak. The only games I can think of that allow changing equipment during a PvP match are MOBAs, where everyone is basically equal in terms of stats and overall power, and TO is certainly not a MOBA.

I actually misunderstood the pre-battle wait period that was announced in the latest Vlog, in that I assumed that Hazel wanted to remove equipment changing entirely. This being said, that point of mine isn’t valid however my point that players don’t want to join already started battles still stands.
-
If this were implemented the MM system would start placing players in already started battles to try to fill the gaps, thereby defeating the purpose of the pre-battle wait period. Also, I doubt anyone likes being placed in a battle that’s been going on for more than a couple minutes.
-
Yeah, @Opex-Rah, where the hell are the batteries??
-
Well, they can always, you know, leave the battle. Without equipment changes the big buyers will also be locked into a single combo. Right now they can change into whichever immunity they desire and be practically untouchable by F2P players. The F2P have extremely limited choices when it comes to augments and immunities anyway.

Is Tesla still like this?

It’s no surprise given that the playerbase mostly consists of 12 year old kids.

A combination of YouTuber Battle, Valentine’s Day and Iron Days Ultra Containers: And just when I thought my luck couldn’t get any better, I got the augment that I’ve been wanting for ages:
-
Not if they’re using RAT Vulcan.
-
I was confused what you meant, but then I realised you’re probably an Overwatch player ?
-
Yeah, that’s literally what I said. They won’t have many particular combos highly upgraded, but rather they will be scattered among various pieces of equipment.
-
I always find the stun augments to be useful against Vulcans. Stun Striker is probably the ultimate anti-Vulcan weapon.
-
In the Brigadier to General ranks there’s a TON of them in basically every mode. It also doesn’t help that I’m either matched up with Warrant Officers and Lieutenants or with Legends.
-
To be honest a tank would probably drive through most structures, even solid concrete walls.
