  1. What about Defender, can a non-buyer use this drone if they're careful?
  2. So when you say that some people have plenty of them, do you mean that a non-buyer can get by if they're careful?

Do you get enough supplies as a non-buyer to play Tanki?

I've seen mixed opinions about this, so I wanted to make a thread about this question and see what people think. Some people have said that as you reach the higher ranks you don't get enough supplies to use the non-Brutus drones, while others say that Tanki gives a generous amount of supplies and that there shouldn't be a problem. What do you think?
  4. What's interesting and frustrating is that my crappy old laptop can run War Thunder Ground Forces on the lowest graphics pretty well (no lag, but somewhat low FPS), but Tanki, a game that must be much simpler, lags. Thanks for the advice about the keyboard. That's good to know. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it a lot, buddy.
  5. Thank you for the help, buddy. Its CPU scores 15,746, nice. Thanks for the feedback about the first laptop being overkill.
  6. I hate Massacre, and if many other people feel the same, I wish Tanki would scrap this map. They have so many good maps I remember from when you could choose your map that I never see anymore... I'd love if the Tanki devs would let us vore for our favorite maps so they can update the matchmaker with more maps.
  7. I understand, but what about having more realistic terrain? The landscapes of the unplayable areas reminds me of miniature versions of War Thunder maps, with the realistic landscapes, the hills, large trees, etc, and looks like it would be so much fun to have a Tanki battle in that kind of realistic map, as long as there was plenty of cover, like trees and rocks. Would this be possible?
  8. I don't mean that I want the unplayable parts of the maps to be playable, obviously that would make that the map design doesn't make sense. I mean that Tanki's maps would be more interesting if the playable parts of the maps looked like the unpalayable parts: the unevenly shaped, realistic terrain, interesting objects (new houses, vehicles and other things), huge trees and bushes, etc. These parts of the maps reminds me of War Thunder's maps and look like actual landscapes and cityscapes, and it looks like it would be so much fun to have a battle on that kind of map.
  9. So I've found some laptops that I think you will approve of. Please tell me what you think about them. The CPUs you've recommended all scored at minimum 10,000 in the first score, so these CPUs should do, except for maybe the last laptop. https://www.netonnet.se/art/gaming/gamingdator/barbar-gamingdator/msi-thin-15-b13uc-2464neu/1035157.12916/ Intel® Core™ i5 13420H, 512 GB SSD & 16 GB RAM cpu score: higher is better: 18,351 lower is better: 747 higher is better: 53.66 650,07 euro https://www.elgiganten.se/product/datorer-kontor/datorer/laptop/hp-240-g9i5-1235u1625614/796922 Intel® Core™ i5-1235U, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, 256 GB SSD storage cpu score: 13,388 998 43.33 563,71 euro https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/373296-MSI-Modern-15-F1MG-15-6-Intel-Graphics-Urban-Silver Core 5 / 120U, 16 GB / 512 GB cpu score: 16,587 828 48.79 563,28 euro The specs doesn't mention "SSD" in the RAM stuff, just that the harddrive type is "SSD" however - is this problematic? https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/373469-Aspire-Go-14-AG14-21P-R41N-14-WUXGA-AMD-Ryzen-5-7520U-16GB-512GB-UMA Ryzen 5 / 7520U / 16 GB / 512 GB cpu score: 9,188 1268 NA 563,28 euro Again, this laptop doesn't mention "SSD" in the RAM stuff, just that the harddrive is an "SSD" type.
  10. Thanks, I really appreciate the help. Without it I wouldn't have a clue what to buy.
  11. Can you please let the topic be up for a while? I'd like to see what people say about the laptop I'm interested in buying.
  12. Yeah, I've decided to give up on getting a laptop that can handle Tanki on the highest graphics. I'm happy getting one that can simply run it smoothy on any graphical settings.
  13. My current laptop has an Intel Core i3-7100U CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2400 It can't run Tanki smoothy even on the lowest graphical settings. The game lags. A laptop I'm interested (link) in has a: -12: e generations In_tel Alder Lake N97-processor -12-watts chip with 4 core and 4 threads, which supports CPU-speeds up to 3,6 GHz - 16 GB RAM and 512 GB ROM, 16 GB DDR4 memory. It's advertised as a gaming laptop. Do you think it can run Tanki smoothly?

Does anyone else wish that Tanki's maps looked like the background of the maps?

  15. Wow, I'm glad I didn't settle on that then. I found another laptop on Amazon for 309,87 euros which has a 12th generation In-tel Alder Lake N97 (up to 3,6 Ghz) Gaming Notebook, 16 GB DDR4 RAM 512 GB SSD, WiFi, BT5.0, Type_C, USB3.2, HDMI. It's cheaper than you recommend, but is it good enough?
  16. The laptop I looked at used to cost 868,00 euros, which was lowered to 517,48, so it's a shame that it's not as good as the laptops in the 500-600 euros range that you've seen. I'll look for betters deals. Sorry, but I don't know anything about graphics, so when you recommend me these things I don't know what you're talking about. I'll try to look for the things you mentioned though.
  17. Thanks for the reply. I found a laptop that has: Internal memory RAM (GB) 8 Total storingcapacity 512 Graphic card model geforce rtx 2050 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD unit 8 GB DDR4 RAM memory Will this laptop be able to handle Tanki on the highest graphical settings? Tanki recommends: Processor: Intel Core i5-i7 from 4th generation RAM: 4096-8192 Mb Graphic memory: 2048 Mb or more
  18. Is 3060 a graphic card? Could you guess about what graphic requirements are needed for Tanki? Like what the ballpark is, from being able to play on the lowest graphic settings, to the max.
  19. Thanks for the input. Do you have any idea what Tanki's perfomance requirements are for max graphics?

I want to buy a new laptop. Does anyone know if a 200-300 dollar laptop can handle Tanki Online?

Can a cheap laptop handle Tanki or do I have to pay for a 300+ dollar gaming laptop to play Tanki on max graphics?

    Ideas for Supplies and Drones!

I know that they have planned more grenade types and other gadgets that are thrown on the ground, so I thought I'd add some suggestions. Molotov cocktail. It sets a tank on fire if thrown on it, and can set the ground on fire too, creating a temporary obstacle. I think this is planned, but I'm not sure. Smoke grenade. Is used to conceal tanks or blind the enemy. This is also planned I think. EMP grenade. It lies on the ground for a while and stuns any tank that drives close, as a temporary obstacle. I think this is in development. Ice grenade. It covers the ground in ice, making tanks loose traction. It can be used to make it impossible to drive up slopes or to slow down an enemy tank driving away with the flag. If the ice grenade hits a tank it freezes it. Repulsor lift. Not really a grenade but a gagdet that is thrown on the ground and blows a stream of energy upwards so that tanks that drive over it will jump into the air like a Hopper. This can be used in combat to escape from enemies, avoid taking damage, get over walls or on top of buildings, etc. The repulsor lift will stay on the ground as long as it's not destroyed, so that other tanks can use it. Glue grenade. It puts a puddle of glue on the ground and if tanks drive over it they will temporarily be able to drive on vertical walls to climb up on buildings, or drive upside down under bridges. This would create a lot of fun for the gameplay I think! All the buildings in the game will be interesting tactical opportunities. Shield gadget. Deploys a shield that is like a smaller version of Titan's shield. Teleportation gadget. This works by throwing two gadgets, the first creates the entry opening where ever it is thrown (a wall, the ground etc) and the second creates the exit. This can be used to create short cuts into the enemies' base, escape in combat, or to make enemies fall into the teleportation opening and be teleported away. Protective walls. A gadget which creates a protective wall with small openings through which you can shoot. This can be used to create fortified defenses and bunkers, from which you can shoot at enemies. The walls have HP and are destroyed after taking too much damage, and can be repaired by Isida and Paladin's and Dictator's overdrives. Foam grenade. I think this is planned or is at least considered. A prototype is at least developed. It creates a "foam" block on the ground, which can be used as cover or to block a path. I personally think that my protective walls idea is more fun, as you could build bunkers by placing several walls close to each other, but the foam block idea would be a fun addition for sure and I hope it's put in the game.
  22. When I think about it, this change wouldn't be very meaningful, because the superlight and superheavy hulls are already in the game because of drones. The devs have probably worked out that a heavy hull with defender drone is the max amount of HP with the lowest amount of speed that will make the gameplay balanced and enjoyable, and the same with a light hull with trickster.
