  1. I don't remember when it got changed, but maybe it was when they introduced drones, because they thought that the heavy hulls might be OP with certain drones. But if it's true that many people wouldn't enjoy a superslow hull, maybe there are enough of us who would. I think I would.
  2. In the way I imagine it, the superheavy and superlight hulls would have substantial differences in their HP and speed to current hulls, so the new categories would make a difference to gameplay. Like how the old Mammoth had double the HP of a medium hull IIRC, and very slow speed. Compare that to the current heavy hulls, which has 1/3rd more HP than mediums. The old Mammoth was a pretty different gameplay experience.
  3. I think that it'd be fun if every hull had a different speed and HP, so that they were unique in more ways than their Overdrives. I realise that with so many hulls in the game, if every hull had an unique speed and HP the differences would be too small to matter. So why not increase the categories instead, like this: Superlight hull Light hull Light medium hull Heavy medium hull Heavy hull Superheavy hull The superlight and superheavy hulls have more and less HP and speed than any current hulls, making playing them a new gameplay experience. The difference between light medium and heavy medium hulls may seem meaningless, but it could give these hulls more "personality," along with their overdrives and driving characteristics. If the superlight and superheavy hulls would be unbalanced by using certain drones, maybe the added benefits of the drones are lessened when pairing them with these hulls - i.e. if a superheavy hull paired with Defender is OP, then Defender adds less armor to this specific hull.

    Ideas for Turrets!

    My idea is for a turret which shoots a rolling bomb that rolls on the ground and can be exploded at any time. The speed with which the bomb is shot with is determined by how long the spacebar is held, ranging from moving fairly fast to having no speed at all. The bomb will move with the physics of a bouncy ball and will react to being shot at, so that enemies can shoot at the ball to steer it off course. If the bomb is damaged enough it will explode. The bombs explosion is the strongest in the game, basically a mini- Wasp bomb but balanced of course. The turret can shoot several bombs at once. While the bombs are very powerful, the turret is balanced by being awkward to use. Self damage is a serious danger when using it at close range. It's difficult to use it at long range as enemies can shoot at the rolling bombs to steer their direction away from themselves or to slow them down. The turret is fun when you make clever use of the map, by bouncing the bombs on walls, or hiding a bomb behind a corner and waiting for enemies to drive close unknowingly.

    I can play War Thunder Ground Forces without lag on my old laptop, but Tanki lags a lot. Why?

    War Thunder isn't a browser game and is downloaded, is that why? I tried to download Tanki but it still lagged just the same. I can play War Thunder on the lowest graphic settings. The FPS is bad but it's playable and the game never lags. Tanki lags all the time for me,with lags lasting several seconds sometimes. Why does Tanki lag when it's a simpler game?
  7. Thanks, I've followed the advice but it didn't have a noticeable effect on lags. I wonder if the problem is Tanki and their servers and not because of me, because I can play War Thunder Ground Forces on my old laptop without any problems, though the FPS isn't great. That seems like a much more demanding game than Tanki, but Tanki is laggy and at times extremely laggy, with FPS around 2 so that it's completely unplayable.

    Sometimes when supplies are activated or picked, auto-activation when they run out is also activated by itself. It seems to be completely random when it happens.

    Tanki removed the button where you can click to play a new game when you looked at the result screens after a game finished, so now when you want to play a new game you have to exit, then click on the play button. Why was this done? Annoying.

    I'm going to stop playing Tanki due to how laggy the game has become. I get irritating lag spikes where the screen freezes for several seconds, which wasn't a problem before. It's interesting that I can play War Thunder Ground Forces without any lag, though with low FPS, on my crappy old laptop, but not Tanki. I'm not going to waste time on this game anymore.

    I wrote: 1. Improve the servers! 2. Add more abilities in gameplay. Adding grenades was great. Suggestion: add more overdrives, so that every tank has several overdrives. This would make gameplay more varied. The new overdrives doesn't have to be powerful, so they won't overwhelm the gameplay. It could be small abilities. 3. Add more hulls and turrets. Walking hulls with unique driving abilities would be fun. 4. Add an NPC "zombie-tank" horde defense gamemode. I think a gamemode where you're swarmed by NPCs with short-range weapons that are easy to kill, where you have to defend a position, would be fun. Like Call Of Duty Zombies.

    I have an old laptop and the game used to work ok, just enough FPS to be able to play. Today suddenly the game is so laggy it's completely unplayable. Does anyone know what happened?

  18. Good summary of the Tanki experience! I'm thinking about leaving myself, I don't think it's worth playing with the issues. The reason I do might be because of some addiction to the game, and not because I'm genuinely having fun...

    The match-maker is, especially when it replaces players who dropped out during a match, awful. Is it really not possible have longer waiting times for fairer matches?

    Games start out fairly balanced often, although the gap between the players is huge. But as soon as players starts to leave, they're replaced by very powerful tanks, which makes the matches very often in my experience fall into a boring, predictable pattern: 1. Both teams are evenly matched, but Team A does slightly better 2. Noticing this, some players in Team B quickly leaves 3. They're replaced by extremely powerful tanks, who slaughters Team A's tanks and turns the match completely one-sided 4 The match ends with Team A having been quickly crushed. Some Team A players leave and are replaced by extremely powerful tanks too, but it's too late to save the match. I know that increasing match-making times is really bad for many player's experience, but I wonder if it's worth it when most matches are simply not fun anymore. It feels like most games I have fall into this predictable pattern, and it's really boring and irritating.

    Youtuber Taspens says that it increases your damage by 40% and increases the reload by 20%, but the Wiki says that it increases the reload by 100%. Which is right? I want to know before I get it.

    I used to think that Smoky's aiming was bugged because shots would randomly seem to fly through enemy tanks without hitting them, but now I've realised that you have you aim at their turret at a certain range (mid-range) to hit them. This makes it much harder to hit tanks than with any other mid-ranged turret.

  24. Mammoth's size seems to be too big for the reach of the OD. It kills tanks faster if they touch its sides than the front, which seems flawed when it's meant to be used for ramming, and sometimes the OD can't kill them at all if they touch Mammoth's corners. Besides making the OD easier to use by solving these problems, increasing the OD reach slightly would also: - Make it much less likely for Mammoth to be thrown upsidedown by destroyed tanks, since they'll be thrown away before it can drive over them. - Give Mammoth a buff, which is I think is good considering that Ares' OD is much more powerful and practical and much better overall.
