You misunderstand my point I was making. You need 19K XP to get from WO1 to WO2, this should be doubled so you need 38K to reach WO2. This is what I meant by doubling XP needed. Summary. My "FIX" would work if implemented, that's a 100% slam dunk fact. Will the devs implement my "FIX", probably not, which is a shame because it would deff help the low to mid ranks and improve MM considerably. Over time (2/3 months, maybe a bit longer) It would nullify the huge disparity between ranks/GS by a large factor. My "FIX" if implemented will work.

Seriously! Why has it failed so miserably then? Would not work. How to fix MM -101. Every rank from WO1 through to General has their XP at least doubled to gain each new rank. This "FIX" would allow every player the opportunity to stay at "THEIR RANK" much longer, this has two main benefits;- 1 - These players now have a much better chance of saving up crystals for their garage before the next rank. 2 - They stay at every rank longer, so their chances are significantly increased that they go into battle against their own ranks, give are take 2 ranks either way. The devs could also make it so that every battle yielded X2 more crystals compared to XP. They should also give all players "by default" all MK1 protection modules from the very start "Recruit". This "FIX" would take time to even out, but it would work, of this I am sure. Read above "FIX". Agree. My "FIX" does not change the mechanics of MM, it gives players the opportunity to better cope with the current MM system, ie- to improve their garage, G/S through the ranks, which would in time eliminate Legends with pathetic G/S that resemble WO5 players. We all know who should be doing it and we all know why they will not. Something (most things) have to change in this game, because it has got way to complicated and messed up.

Being a low ranker is now pathetic. You grind to do missions and get the "NERFED" containers, only to open them and get MK1 crap when you have passed that rank by a mile. There really is no point grinding for anything, as being a low ranker is handicapped from the start, account now suspended for good, waste of time.

This question depends on your rank and how many prots you have maxed out. Basically how strong is your garage for the rank you are at. If you are a newbie Legend then sab is gonna be useless depending on the above criteria. There are many counters to sab now, ranging from the legal hack paladin with it's overdrive to the miner prot module and mammoth's overdrive, as well as wasp's bomb, line of sight. A maxed out Legend camping with sab on a favoured map has their work cut out encountering all of these counters to it's drone, so unless your prots and favoured combo are maxed out, upgrading sab (which will cost you a fortune in cry) is not worth it. You have to consider multiple factors when upgrading in this game because of the complexity of it and the numerous Op augments that have ruined it, also the drain on your cry supply to. My advice, whichever drone you go for, concentrate on that and no other drone, as it will deplete you cry at an alarming rate.

I agree, but TO is a 100% P2W game and these devs could less what is and what is not balanced, as long as they make cash. TO is a joke, the whole game is a mess because of THREE main factors. Floating trashcans. Pathetic MM. OP pathetic augments. There are a lot more, but these three are the main causes of why the game is CRAP. Take a look at the fund that has failed miserably, pure greed, so stuff them.

Quite obvious really. The floating legal hack paladin is very, very hard to kill. Couple this with the sideways motion of these hacks and It is extremely hard to pin them down. All floating trashcans along with the pathetic OP augments and the aid the kids have on mobiles should be eliminated from the game. Do this and see a very different and altogether better game emerge, also get rid of the pathetic, useless night mode. There you go, another problem solved.

Very bad advice, unless your a heavy, heavy buyer. Remember there are "NO" protections until General, starting a new account now is TO suicide. Lets face it, the devs do not and have never given any thought to the low rankers, unless it's to try and wrangle cash out of them with hugely negative updates. It's no wonder that many players are rightly peed off with them and their underhanded tactics. They give with one hand (TO birthday) and then strip it away with a useless fund that costs way to much for the rewards offered, especially the first 10-15 tiers. TO is going downhill fast. Augments and the useless floating trashcans, along with a big hike in prices, the constant nerf/buff cycle, the de-valuing of containers and a host of other bad updates have RUINED the game beyond economical repair. What is the current state of TO--------A CASH GRAB JOKE. Are you suggesting high ranks to Legend account, or low to mid rankers, because competing is not a problem, It's competing at a buyers level that is the problem. Augments more than anything in the game have stuffed TO and unless you have the more favourable ones, then your just a run of the mill average player, F2P or otherwise. Why are there so many Legends with a crappy G/S, because the devs have managed the game in such a way that unless you buy, your stuffed, plain and simple. Couple all of the above with a useless MM system and the F2P does not stand much of a chance. So to summarise your above statement-----so wrong. Start a new account from scratch, no buying, then get back to me. Reaching Legend is easy, especially when you can rank so fast. Reaching Legend and having a decent gaming experience/battles is something else, very few players who are F2P can achieve this.

Ok I will try my best to be nice here @Maf You call this a battle with Legends, I call it players who have ranked far to high beyond their means to be even remotely competitive. Take a look at the player below you. I have a colonel rank with 2K G/S higher than that. As for the rest of the team, I mean really. Technically, yes they are Legends, in reality, cannon fodder for true Legends. You say your account is 2015 and was strong back then, just shows you how much the game has moved on, because it makes your account weak now. I had a feeling your account was an old one and because of all the negative updates, it now makes it average, at best. This is not your fault so much as the devs. They have killed your account, just like so many others and unless you spend cash (which is what they are hoping you do) your account will never be truly effective, especially when you eventually rank to Legend. This is your account, if you say you do well with it then you do well, but going up against proper Legends will have you thinking otherwise.

And I have stated multiple times that the account I'm on is very low ranked. 500K is a huge amount to low ranked players. Just greed, nothing else. The devs will scam cash/tankoins from players anyway they can. You no this, so why do you not say it instead of skirting around the obvious answer. Because It's the truth. This is a very weak account, but that's your business. You obviously do not care much for it to rank it so much without trying to make it competitive. I suppose having an account that is subsidised by the devs makes up for it. Either way you still have no idea what it is like to be a low ranked player in 2024. It's extremely hard to achieve anything because of the constraints put onto low rankers.

Could we all see a screen of this account in it's entirety, or you could tell us the name of the account so we can check it out. I'm personally interested in how many protection modules you have and there upgrade level, this tells a lot about how you actually manage your account. This augment is crap against TRUE Legend players and only works against much weaker opponents, lower ranked players usually. I know this to be true because I have it on a alt which is major general. Against my own rank and below I do well with it, against true Legends I do jack. It's maxed out MK7 by the way. 2013 and my account is nowhere near maxed out because of the huge amounts of resources needed to do so and the constant updates that vastly reduce your ability to improve your account, unless of course you spend cash. ? <<<---- This is the requirement to do well in the game, especially if your a low to mid rank player. Players should not need to pay anything when their equipment is maxed and ready for the next MK. Can we see a pattern here, It's called GREED. I agree with this, but It's not THE main reason imo. The main reason is quite simply the price of the fund and the useless first 10 tiers, coupled with the fact players simply do not want to risk their cash/tankoins for augments that we all know will get nerfed at some stage and a lot of players like myself with low ranked accounts, WO4 with only 3 protections, KNOW FOR A FACT that any containers received will yield a paltry amount of crystals compared to the amount needed to upgrade any equipment. The game as a whole is not player friendly to low rankers like myself. These are MY reasons I will never partake in any fund, even though I have the means to do so. Prices being "nice" is of course relative for each player. The shop prices have went up quite a bit, so nice imo just does not cut it, which is why I will not buy it. I no why would you say that because some players will see that as fair, but most will see it as far to much. $ 10.00 max would be reasonable and cut the days needed in half to get them, 30 is way to much and such a drag, very off putting in itself. On this I concur. This is because there is no incentive as even a casual buyer who wants to do well in the game to risk tankoins for the underwhelming rewards before it. Although imo the rewards improve by a big factor from T-18. As a low ranked player I need zillions of crystals, so the RARE containers are what "I" strive for, even though the 5000 cry we get should at least be 10,000. Well I'm one of them for the solid reasons I have gave so far. This fund does not inspire eager participation, simple as that. I leave the eagerness up to the brainwashed persistent buyers. The sooner the devs reign in their greedy stubbornness and realise a few "SIMPLE" facts, then maybe more players will be ready to share the burden of these "events". I vaguely remember it, because when I initially read about these events I very quickly sum it up and dismiss it even quicker as a cash grab and just throw the notion of entering such events down the pan, were it belongs with all the other crap in the game. Lets clarify this issue. Tanki back in the day. Supplies, paints and the kits from the "JOKE" shop. That was it, nothing else. I could go on quite a bit, but that's the gist of it. Tanki now. P2w events. Massive hike in prices across the board. No protection modules until general rank. Drones that "YOU NEED" in order to deal the minimum required damage. You MUST upgrade your drone fully in reality to play (compete) Containers nerfed and they are nerfed, regardless of the recent changes they made. Augments that have totally turned the game upside down. Floating scrapheaps that are ridiculously hard to kill because of their sideways motion. These players don't even have to turn their turret. Auto aim for the children on their mobiles which is another huge advantage they have over pc players. I could name at least another 20 changes over the years that have made TO crap compared to what it was as far as game play goes. ANYONE thinking that the game is better now with all these changes really should be in a padded cell. That the best you got. Technically true. In reality, a load of crap, and you know it is. Really. Earning cry is not easily done if you are a player who wants to be competitive and not get wasted 20 times in every battle you go into, your kd suggests this is what happens to you on a regular basis. Upgrading protection modules in itself costs a fortune in crystals and that's just for "ONE" In my opinion you have wasted cry on to many turrets, which wont do jack at the rank you are now at. Your remaining cry might seem a lot, but you will need millions to be competitive as you go through the ranks. IMO your account is very weak, that's down to the devs and the way you play your account. This only applies and seems this way to Legends with maxed out everything. The lower ranks have never had it so bad because the game (devs) conspires against them to try and encourage them to spend cash to make up for the useless garage most lower ranked players have, especially new players to the game. I no a Legend with 2.75 million cry with "NOTHING" but supplies to use them on, which is no problem as he has over 100K of each supply and a multitude of containers to open if needed, 70 of them being the rare (weekly) ones. I will let you do the math on these containers alone. Re-cap. If you are a maxed out Legend crystals are usually just a by-product of game play with little to no value. If you are a low ranked player crystals are extremely hard to amass and any significant amount you do earn are soon gone due to the huge number needed to upgrade equipment, especially protection modules, which for low ranked players is not much of a problem because you can't acquire any until general rank, which is another pitfall low rankers have to contend with. The game is a P2W joke and unless you are prepared to SPEND BIG your garage will be worse than useless when you reach brigadier and beyond. The amount of Legends I have seen with a G/S between 5 and 7k is amazing. Even with augments (which I hate) these players are just cannon fodder for the older generation of Legends, who obliterate these type of players in a split second.

Yip, just like I keep asking them to fix the garage bug that won't let you change equipment first time around. Let's face it, genuine errors in the game get ignored because they are too busy with the next cash grab, or some lame shot effect or new useless paint. I have not been able to log into an actual battle for 5 days now because of some system error when the game loads for a battle. I have gave up on trying anymore because I no it will never get resolved, devs have way more important things to do than fix this major error that prevents access to joining a battle. So as the old saying goes, join the club.......of tanki despair.

Why are the protection modules not available until GENERAL rank. Please give a rational explanation for this huge disadvantage for the lower ranked players. It makes battles truly unplayable and a waste of time.
