I love the way you can make kills with a Rail fitted on a light hull If you mount Rail on a light hull, you can do hit and run tactics; timing is most important though, It's also one of the hardest skills to train. But if you mastered that, Railgun will be super fun to play with. 2. You're wrong. 3. You're wrong on that statement aswell, it's because Railgun requires skills that don't come easy. It takes time to practise timing and accuracy; especially on a light unstable hull. 4. Mining a base can be part of defense, using supplies the right way is part of an effective playstyle too. I also see a lot of people wandering around with Railgun, not quite knowing what they should do. Most of the time they're not in the right maps. 5. I agree with this, if I fit Railgun on a heavier hull I'm more usefull as defender; getting much bigger scores just because I survive more hits. Although a lot of the time the lack of speed is an issue, I can't circle around houses when Isida's are chasing me. This is also why I either use Wasp instead of Hornet if I want to be the agile defender. 6. You're wrong, Railgun has high impact and much much better range than Hammer. You almost have to be right in front of tanks in order to make all the pellets hit your enemy. If you do that with Railgun, you're using not using it the right way.

I would say getting some more Ricochet protection since your Smoky and Twins need a clear path to deal damage. If you're hiding behind a wall with your big Dictator, you could be an easy target for a Ricochet that's using the bouncing effect. Taiga in general is a more allround medium range paint that has good protection from various short to medium ranged weapons. + the main feature of Irbis is the Isida protection, which can be maxed to 50% Taiga can go pretty close to that > 45% I would get Taiga.
