I'm definitely looking forward to this. You can't really judge this update until it's has been released. Those effects with the reloading, ammo shells popping out, the possible first person camera position; ohh man... I would love to see those things in future. I hope they bring exhaust smoke aswell. ^_^ I wouldn't worry about lags in the new version to much. I don't see a reason for the developers, to seek the risk of losing players due to lag; with the new version. There's extensive testing on design and functionality decisions... and they said that when there's a solid prototype, they will call in the players for feedback.

Viking is perfect for Thunder. As Thunder isn't a long-range, nor short-range weapon. So it's not really made for attacking, nor defending. It's pure midfield... average speed and average HP fits it just right. Viking is slightly leaning to more health and less speed. From all the medium range weapons, I would consider Thunder as the one with the longest range, and slowest reload. Smoky; being slightly faster in reload, burst damage etc... would fit better on a Hunter. Atleast it does for me. :ph34r: Thunder doesn't need a direct hit, the splash damage would make the speed of your hull a less important factor. I'm definitely not saying that light hulls are bad with Thunder. I can enjoy Thunder with light hulls just as much, it's an interesting form of gameplay.
