New Freeze upgrade seems fair, as long as they don't go overboard with the damage.

Nah give it more dmg , isida as double purpose , while Firebid has that After burn and the OP alts

And Freeze was left alone in Short range family

This buff was needed

After this update, even M4 Viking with 50% freeze protection won't stand a chance against M4 freeze.

It was Isidas time now it is Freezes time to be OP

on this account i got ant kit instead of boreas because i didn't know about  this rebalance;.

but on a staff sergeant account i don't give a fart about i won 40k from a german contest so i got cupid instead of vampire because i didn't give a fat about that account so i just bought the first kit that came to the garage...

 

now I'm so sad i just want to cry..

I think I'll play on that staff sergeant account to try and fool myself into thinking that i bought boreas on this account

Have tanki buffed this turret or something as it seems to be extremely OP, especially when they have an isida behind them.


After this update, even M4 Viking with 50% freeze protection won't stand a chance against M4 freeze.

What have they done to freeze? I have it in my garage but rarely use it and I don't see why one turret should be so OP. It makes a mockery of game balance.

yes, damage increased by more than 30%

 

with the m2 alteration it does more damage than isida and has 2 seconds more damage time and 2 seconds less reload time

What have they done to freeze? I have it in my garage but rarely use it and I don't see why one turret should be so OP. It makes a mockery of game balance.

Fire has OP alts & Isida has double ability & 2 Isidas together are Invincible

And Freeze was let out

So they had to buff it

but 20 % was enough :ph34r:

So now freeze M4 with double damage and corrosive mix alteration = 2200 damage per second?

 

Why did I waste my crystals on hammer...

Ohh but perhaps it'll be temporary buffed in 2021 and then nerfed again after sufficient crystals have been spent among the players on protection paints and Hammer + it's MU's. If you're unlucky though they might come up with a damage decrease for the stock configuration and let you buy an alteration to gain back the original damage. Perhaps they might even introduce splash damage to the pallets and make an alteration to remove it.

 

Future is uncertain for every permanent equipment here. We've seen a sudden stat swap between Viking and Hunter and Twins alterations to remove the added splash damage. Magnum on the other hand remains a mistery to me, I have no idea why they didn't nerfed it yet... not that I mind though!

 

Freeze's buff was welcome but they gone a little overboard with the damage IMO; it's a shame it's freezing feature didn't improved. Freezing targets won't (directly) get you more XP though.

They'll nerf Magnum soon. Mine is almost up to M4, so don't worry.

I'm happy with Freeze buff. I can finally be afraid of freeze, before I wasn't because I could still kill the opponent even If I was frozen. Freeze simply seems to fit the category now with rest of the turrets, it finally balances out.

Yes , even after the buff , Fire is still better than freeze , with the alt ofc

and in a 1v1 fire still wins

Yeah exactly. I still lose to isida or firebird, therefore freeze is not OP imo.

How exactly are you losing to isida? You do more damage and have more ammo, that should be impossible if they aren't using a heavy hull.

If I am using freeze, I can easily lose against any turret, most of them for example; twins or ricochet, they tend to run backwards and shoot at me whilst I'm chasing them, ending up in result me losing to them.

DMG is not the only thing that counts , there is effective range

and some special things

 

For example Fire V Freeze 1v1 

Fire wins , why  cause burning effect > freezeing effect

Burning effect is after the fact.  because Freeze has higher DPS it should be able to kill fire. It may die after as well do to afterburn, but all things being equal freeze should get the kill too.

 

But that is assuming you are just fighting head-to-head.  If you fight with freeze that way you are doing it wrong. When used properly freeze should be slowing and circling target, thus under fire for less time.

Not many knows it , and it has been long since i met a good freeze guy , they just come head on and get killed

Not at my rank, I also see no one using the decreased cone alteration because it's nearly impossible to do the circling. I have rented the alt during the sales to see how it would do but I think true Freeze players are at a disadvantage especially on faster hulls.

 

Firebird needs to outrun Freeze and do as much passive burning as possible to prevent getting frozen and ultimately killed, particularly in obstacle-rich areas. These encounters screamed for an increase in damage for Freeze; making them much more interesting aswell.

The Isida maneuvers to stay just inside its maximum range. Isida does full damage, Freeze damage and special attack is weaker at range.

Yes the less cone makes it hard to hit , you have to use it like you are playing isida
