Oh thanks, didnt even notice, still remember when I became a fresh helper, I used to get excited over the fact that I "won for the day" ?

Lol I'm satisfied now that I won 10 times. A nice round number

Note to self: The mods like to play hot potato with the DMLC (Day's most liked content) award. ?

Save some for me! My last "win" was on the 17th of January ?

(and let's just ignore the fact that I won 163 days total and have the most rep on the forum)

My last win was way back on June 13, 2021, but I'm kinda fine with that as it's the day after my birthday and the day that I pulled Striker Ultra from free UCs.

Who will get the 400,000th post?

Would be nice to leave it for Marcus´ Tanki Bday announcement, but that will likely not happen ? .

How active this forum used to be? I've known about for quite some time but I never really used it. It was only until around February of this year I decided to give it a try. Also at the same time, I found out that patch updates were regularly posted which I hadn't known prior.

Oh, very! I think you can get a feeling of just how lively and fun this place was by going through the now-archived TO Newspaper and Forum Games sections. That we didn't quote a post while replying to it could probably be considered a decent measure of liveliness, because people actually had those fast, exciting conversations. No one waited for intermediate posts. In forum games, there was this dread floating around that someone else was going to post the next reply, and you simply couldn't let that happen...

Now - well, now it's not there. It's just not there.

I've been feeling quite weird on the forum recently, because even though there's not much activity, there's this subtle affinity towards negativity. People rarely react to funny, informative, kind posts, but a caustic reply to such posts gets immediate attention. It's unnerving, to be honest. But - that's probably me thinking too much.

Patch notes/updates have always been posted in the "Patch Notes" section, but Marcus started posting a copy in the News & Announcements section after each update to get feedback from players - and this started in... not sure. Looks like it started here:

And what exactly you want from players on forum? Feedback that gets ignored and keep being positive and say awesome update when on 90% its not and keep lying ourselves?

Go to matchmaking and you will know why there are always complaints and negativity on forum.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: there are plenty of better ways to complain in a slightly more civilized way without being toxic or too negative. Also, I personally believe that every single post containing useful feedback is read, but this doesn't necessarily mean that the Developers simply must do something about it.

I've played plenty of matchmaking battles, fret not. I have raged and got frustrated too - I just don't like to express my raw emotions publicly without processing them.

What do I expect? Civil discussions, constructive feedback, and fun - is it too much to ask?

P.S. Frankly, I see no problem in anyone saying "good update" - it's their opinion, let them like the update if they want to! And yes, there may be the occasional Helper who says something nice for no particular reason, but even then... why should that be a problem? If I recall correctly, Spy had acknowledged this "issue" (of sorts) and plans to do something about it - or has probably already done something about it.

Seems to me forum moderators get reactions easily, each of you got atleast 10+ wins ?

Posting memes and positive replies just basically guarantee you a good number off reactions! For me I don't post memes except when I really like a one, and my posts are always about the topic and have a piece of discussion, especially my old posts which were just too long and overly negative which takes sometimes 5+ Confused per post.

Mods removed my latest comment however there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.

In fact the only way a mod could have possibly objected to any part of that comment is if they had a very poor command of the English language.

I’m tired of certain mods who misconstrue and misinterpret posts because of a lack of language ability, or simply because they’re not paying proper attention to what the comment says.

PM me or any of the mods, you have the full right to ask for an explanation as to why a certain post was taken down.

If I was online a lot like i used to, I’d probably know what post was removed  so I don’t have any grounds to go on, idk if it is rightly or wrongly removed. Too bad.

btw, what is the new hate emoji? ?

I think it's a hobby for some of them.  One day I repost a comment of someone with ? emoji, which means retweet or even for who don't know twitter it's a (repeat).  Get my post removed, when I inquired a mod in PM, he told me that my post is consisting of just an emoji, which is meaningless. By the way I just reposted my post with Retweet word instead.

That's the way to go about it, we do not allow single emoji posts.

That's just silly.

Are you saying "That idea is stupid" + thmbs-down emoji is better than just thumbs-down emoji?

Sometime a single emoji gets the point across much better than a bunch of text.

Agreed, but that's a way to prevent 1 letter (in this case emoji) spam.

This raises the same issue as the Shrug reaction, players tend to just neglect the idea with just 1 emote, rather than declining it properly and giving their own explanation and solution.

At least in this case they take time to quote.

Another example is when someone is deemed to be whining.  A violin emoji is a perfect response.  Anything else, including text just ruins it.

Not sure if this is the place to report forum bugs, but if a name is short enough, the "Topic Starter" icon will be on the same line.

In that case, ignore the guy, or if it becomes worse, just ping any of us mods. Emoji response in this case leads to even further provocation and should be refrained.
