Patch Update #664 - Released 1st October 2021

 

  • Updated Ultra Containers with the «Paladin» Mk1 hull in early access and the new Tesla’s «Endothermic Lightning» augment.

  • It shoots ball lightning with the same speed as Electroturret does, but freezes an opponent and deals less damage.

  • Starting from 2 AM UTC October 1st  till 2 AM UTC October 10th  the battle duration will be increased to 15 minutes.

  • Added the «Nuclear Energy» supply.

  • Hold the overdrive activation button for more than 1 second and in case your overdrive recharge is less than 90%, your overdrive will be fully charged. The  «Jammer» status effect will be applied for 3 seconds. Reload time of this supply is 3 seconds.

  • Updated Challenges. The new «Nuclear Energy» supply is the final prize.

  • Changed the Battle Pass price for the next challenge, it will cost 700 Tankoins.

  • Tesla:

    • Decreased chain lightning damage from 490-980 to 405-810 (hp);

    • Decreased ball lightning damage from 980-1960 to 810-1620 (hp).

  • Smoky:

    • Increased default damage from 270-535 to 290-580 (hp);

    • Increased critical damage from 700-800 to 710-850 (hp);

    • The «Rubberized Rounds» augment now increases the number of ricochets to 3 instead of 2.

  • Striker:

    • Increased default damage from 435-880 to 450-900;

    • Increased critical damage from 870-1760 to 900-1800;

    • The «Missile launcher «Cyclone» augment» now increases the aiming time by 20% instead of 25%.

  • Shaft:

    • The «Healing Emitters» augment does not have recoil and impact force anymore, even in sniping mode.

  • Viking, Hunter, Crusader, and Dictator — the speed of all medium hulls is now from 7 to 9 m/s.

  • Fixed the bug where several actions in the Clans section were leading to eternal loading.

  • Fixed the bug where several actions in the downloadable client were leading to eternal loading.

Completely unnecessary.

Good change. HPAS will finally have a proper use over other augments. 

 

The Rubberised Rounds change was long overdue imo. It felt incomplete that it only bounced twice.

It took...over two months. It didn't occur to anyone there rhat maybe, just maybe, it was dealing too much damage in a 1 v 1?

i think i understand why they changed weekly tasks to not have an inflation to not make people abuse it too much

so they will have a huge amount (according to the effect) every year even if this is nerfer buyers will always be able to repay offers with this supplie every time won't they

so the battles with ODs may become a bit imbalance so that's a reason of making weeklies to what it's now (special missions won't give a lot for sure)

I'm not opposed to the idea of there being a supply version of Nuclear Energy, I just want it to be balanced.

The only question I have is how long the cooldown will be in between using the Nuclear Energy supplies.

The only real problem here will be that you will have very few of these new Nuclear energy supplies as you get only 4 Nuclear energy from one challenge.

I guess it’s kind of balanced then, since a player won’t have thousands of them. You’ll have to use it wisely.

Though, I don’t think it should be the final tier for the next challenges

Don't see details on where in the Challenges this will be rewarded.  Don't see Tier or level...

In any event, seems like this game is going totally dependent on OverDrives.  They've homogenixed the speed of hulls and now giving a way to have the OD more often.   Meh.

Even as someone who uses Striker a lot, I gotta say that this buff isn’t needed.
Striker pre-critical damage was balanced. 

Striker then got massive critical damage but that didn’t cause balance issues (*coughcough*Freeze*coughcough*) because Striker was already a rare turret and it’s one of the most difficult turrets. 
 

Tesla’s ~20% damage nerf is welcome and hopefully it’ll make things at least a little more normal.

I’m not a big fan of it either, but it seems like this is the direction the Devs are deciding to take with hulls. It’d be hard to change their minds, so I’m requesting that it’d be at least balanced.
