Why did they do this to drones that can fight a Crisis?... ?

This update nerfed all good drones. Upgrading a drone takes 200 days and 1,000,000 crystals. My lifeguard drone took me almost  a year. This update will force people to use different drone. It will make people to quit game because upgrading a drone no joke. It takes lot of commitment and patience. Good luck to you all.

It needed to be at least double what it was. It's still relatively bad stat-wise but certainly better than them possible ignoring its existence and leaving it at 6. 

 

While it is still bad statistically, using it will be much less frustrating now that the top drones powercreeping it have been knocked down a peg and now there is incentive to bring variety to the drones you use what with the other buffed drones and the supply cooldown decrease across the board. 

 

The problem with the drone still remains. The specific template of low potency, fast recharge for this drone significantly favours a small number of turrets, those being Vulcan, Shaft, MLH Striker and some Ultra Container augments. Everything else kills too intermittently to make use of this template, so the effective variety you have with this drone has been unnecessarily limited. Please do look into changing its template. Further buffing it will widen the gap between the aforementioned equipment and other turrets when using this drone.

  • Fixed overdrive recharge:

    • The game now saves your overdrive charge when you become Juggernaut and once you are not, you get your overdrive charge back.

    • When you are disconnected or get an exception, after you join back your overdrive charge is restored.

Finally this annoying thing of losing OD after becoming jug has been fixed.

Lastly Supplies got what it needs, it was a farce when I play with Brutus I need to wait 10 seconds between DD and DA, and the cooldown was just too high. It was better for me to SelfDestruct than waiting. 

Booster have got a buff, but generally we will stop suffering with the farce that everytime a Booster respawn around you, you die in a second. Now it's a reasonable and more constant. And almostly it's now like if it get changed to another drone

Crisis have got a neat +20% Damage buff, and -10% armor nerf. Players can use it as a full time Boosted DD activated. And it's my first time now to know that Trickster have only a 10s duration of Boosted SB, while I see Crisis users was saying that Trickster is almostly like (and better than) Crisis, I don't wonder after I read that topic how they love just to exaggerate. Booster is very very OP, while Crisis have a "good" speed.

That is a lot to take in.  

In my opinion, the biggest thing that ruin cap games and turn them into stalemates is excessive mining by miner/camper/saboteur drones and magnum mortars.

About the Miner drone, 100 mines seems excessive going up from 30.  Is my understanding correct that if you can kill a Miner user twice within 30 seconds, all their mines will all be destroyed?

No they made a mistake, i can co firm that trickster always had a 30 sec boosted speed. It never had 10 secs.

As a very big booster user, im very happy with these changes, since i turned on mobile, i keep wasting the 3 secs special effects, it should be better now, also, with Gauss, the locking can easily be wasted if an allie or ennemy comes in front of you, and so on with the booster special effect.

I like these changes alot, it makes the game less monotonous and there are more good things than negative things

Seems contrary to the description...

"Works well when your team is struggling - even if you are destroyed frequently, your defenses will get stronger as you plant more mines."

Crisis's Speed Boost needs to be nerfed and that's all there is to it.

And I had only skimmed over the Booster update.  Sure it's "only" +50% - but - for 30 seconds?  They get a LOT more shots than vs the 3 seconds.  Better chance of killing multiple targets for each activation.  Fewer "one-shot" assassinations by Duplets, but overall it seems like a buff.

Oh my. I just realized. I recently created a new alt and am playing Freeze/Hornet... and dang that combo is OP. Just use the OD, you can kill a juggernaut in five seconds. And now we'll have a supercharged 5x +50% damage... dear gosh. You're right. If any of these updates is gonna be game-breaking, it's that.

I'm not exactly sure how the cooldown works with Miner drone.  It is 10s currently and it is almost impossible to be killed twice in 10s given respawn and protected time.  Is the cooldown activated when you drop a mine or when you die?

With long battles and 100 mines retained this drone could ruin matches on its own if it is not possible to clear them some way.  You are not getting a mammoth across some of these giant maps to use their OD.

I doubt you'd see even close to100 mines in place in a 15 min battle.

Also keep in mind... mines only do 1500 damage now, 750 with DA, and half that again with a module.

Sure a tank or 2 would have to sacrifice itself to clear some mines for the next one.  But up to date Saboteur has been more of a problem mine-wise than miner.

I have the drone, but no way I'm spending resources upgrading it fully when I have  so many other things to spend crystals on.

No, this change isn't good. It's basically the old assault but now it costs much more. Pointless to use over hyperion. 

The changes are heading to a better direction, and obviosuly the will massively affect the balance. I hope they will adjust these next week depending on how it will work.

Do y'all think I should buy Miner after this update? I'm looking for a cheap drone to back up my Supplier. Or should I get Defender? (I use Wasp.)
