I don't know why, but I still can't figure the reason behind it. Devs reduced the quantity of supplies, removing them from daily missions also.

Agree with removing goldboxes from containers, they aren't necessary in any way, and were mostly just dropped in a private battle for 5k or 10k crystals, moreover, they were used to boost using multiple alt accounts, for a long while. Top 100 gold box leaderboard will be at least a bit more relevant, I hope.

Disagree with removing premium from containers. Yes, premium is meant to be a paid feature, but completely removing premium from non-buyers will make the gap very notable, not just with augments, but also with even worse exp:crystals ratio resulting in even weaker equipment. Right now, active player was able to have premium quite often, which is understandable as it removes incentive to buy from shop. Lowering the chances of getting premium would be IMO the better option. This supports "finish missions with as small experience gain as possible and stop playing for today", because you can't really afford to play more.

Other changes to containers look cool:

- opening a drone, so you try it, same with turrets/hulls? Idk, may work, may not work, we'll see, but interesting to see regardless.

- adding more augments to containers also look good, but seeing chance to drop a legendary one is 1%... Hopefully the more common ones are going to be listed as epic, not legendary. I guess it's still good change, as players can get previously unobtainable augments.

As someone who doesn't care much about skins, the removal of exotics from containers isn't important for me. I'd personally welcome if animated paints were also removed from normal containers, I'd rather get a useful augment, than a paint.

Also wait, so if UC now have 67% chance to drop uncommon reward, and premium, goldboxes and supply sets are removed from containers, then the only uncommon rewards you can get are 10k crystals, 125 repairs or 50 batteries? That's actually not bad, ultras are almost always going to give good rewards unlike the previous 125 mines.

I must say, I can't wait to get 30 Speed Boosts Instead of 40k Crystals when I rank up now. You Devs sure know how to give Players the motivation to keep playing the game!

It's pretty embarrasing.. i thought they were going to give us 40k crystals + a container...
And now instead of 125 Boosted Armor from a gray drop you get 10... 10 Boosted Armor for ranking up.. i would get better rewards if i ranked up to Corporal

The only probable reason I could think of is when they remove the sets of supplies from containers is because of drones being able to be obtainable through them. I also think about to run drones you need supplies (Common sense) and having easily accessible supplies sets would probably defeat the purpose of having supplies in garage shop since people probably don't want to spend crystals for supplies. Thus to encourage spending crystals to get supplies to run these drones. (This is just my theory on why they would remove supplies from containers.)

Okay, this actually feels like a pretty great update overall. Lots of stuff going on here. Glad to see nerfs to Paladin and Freeze, of course, as well as to those terrible copy-paste Tesla augments. And it's good to know that the Stunotron Twins augment won't be 100% god-tier. And a Stunning Missiles nerf? Yay!

The big concern I have is the changes to containers.

This feels like Tanki is basically requiring us to buy UC's if we want any sort of skin. Although seeing the OP augments making their way into common containers is good. The shard update is kinda disappointing, though. But the virtual removal of Common drops from UC's should be worth it.

The other big concern is the removal of supply kits. Does that mean that there will be 0 supply drops ever? No 125 SB? or is it just the 100/250 drops that got removed? Please do let me know if you know. Thanks in advance.

Now NOTHING will stop a Supercharged AP Freeze from barreling through everyone with no way to stop it. I have 44% Armadillo and even that doesn't keep me alive for long enough.

Paladin could have been nerfed literally any other way and I would have been happy. I don't even like using Paladin but this should have been kept.

  • Removal of shards. Seriously? For those who didn't know, you can watch a video to earn 10 shards on the mobile version, up to a total of 10 videos per day. Is Tanki seriously reducing their advertising revenue? lmao

 

  • Tesla nerf - A bit too harsh imo for status augs, the increase in shot warmup time could have been lesser.

 

  • Container changes

- Removal of premium pass and supply sets from containers

 What even is this? Just makes the game even more p2w. A lot of people opened containers mainly for premium, but it seems like its pointless now. Also, in the test server the rewards from normal containers are lowered SIGNIFICANTLY. A gray container can give you 1000 crystals, 30 of any supply (but 10 repair kits). An uncommon (Green) container can give you 3000 crystals or 100 of any supply, while a Rare (Blue) can give you 10000 crystals or 100 repair kits. 

What the? They basically moved rewards up tiers - the rewards you could get from gray containers, you now get from green ones, and so on. Not even this, they made the rewards even LESS. For those praising this update and the decreased chances of getting a gray container, you might want a second opinion on the matter.

 

- Addition of legendary augs to common containers, changes to ultra containers

Won't really have a large effect, as the chances are just 1%. However, ultra containers are just ruined now though, as the chances of getting a legendary are now 2%. I believe the vast majority of people bought UC's for legendary augs, the chances of which now are reduced significantly. So what if the chances of getting an exotic are now twice? It's still less than 1%. This will just reduce the number of people buying UCs imo.

 

  • Removal of exotics from normal containers - But why? The chances were like 0.1% anyway - so now people can't even hope for their tanks to look good? lol

 

  • Addition of drones to normal containers - Good. Will encourage people to try out new playstyles.

 

  • Getting 1 container instead of crystals for rank up - Honestly, this is just a meme. We used to get 40,000 crystals for a Legend rankup, which isn't even much at high ranks, and now we will get 1 container ?. This could be good for low ranks, but it's a JOKE for high ranked players. Hard to think some dev suggested this while they were sober ??

 

Overall, an update that takes the game even more in the p2w direction, and quite possibly even reduces Tanki's income (?). Reduces playerbase even further.

Hi numericable ;)

I think Shards were abused by some, but I think it was also a good thing for honest players, and I think it helped some players join everyday. Let's see if daily missions can do that function.

This is the biggest nerf to free player income (and the income of everyone actually), ever. I don't see how free players will even have the supplies to support Brutus drone usage now - even for daily and special missions only - without running out.

I think this could be the beginning of the end - will reserve judgement until tomorrow. But I am very disappointed to see the huge amount that supplies and crystals available have been decreased, plus the fact that premium is now going to be so much harder for most players to obtain.

Feel bad for wiki team after this update.  Everyone give them some love as this is going to be a ton of work for them.

This is not a sufficient nerf to Freeze.  There is no reasonable reason why it should have such high critical damage.  Going from 4x to 3x is insufficient.  Nothing should have critical damage over 2x normal damage or there is no mechanism to protect yourself, even with maxed Armadillo.  I agree that AP Freeze should not apply freeze effect at all and likely should not have critical damage.  Freeze effect removing boosted damage should go away completely.  There have just been layer after layer of enhancements recently applied to Freeze that are unwarranted.

Not sure how Fire will be after this.  You do more damage/tick but will shoot for shorter duration because of increased energy consumption but it will recharge fully in 1 second?  If so, you virtually have continuous fire.  Burning effect for compact fuel at lower modifications is greatly increased.

Striker Stun I think is nerfed well as I always found it to be most annoying alt.  Shorter stun and longer reload after locked shots but hunter speed lock on.

The nerf to Tesla status effect augments is good I think.  They have been incredibly strong.

Nerf to paladin OD is good.  This OD has been best in game since its release for any mode other than TDM and TJR.  I really think it could go farther and either remove AP or jammer effect or reduce duration.

Think accessibility of free supplies is going to get worse and cause people to spend more crystals on them making it hard for lower ranks to not be tortured by the time they get to legend.

Prices in shop only seem to go up which is crazy.  Not looking forward to what they have done though I haven't bought anything except for daily tankoins in the last few months, not even battle passes which really have no appeal to me given state of my account and what they offer.

Are you kidding me? Removal of supplies and crystals from missions? Good job Alternitiva, you removed something that was part of the game ever since missions were implemented. You don't give a DAMN about us. And what's the commonality of these "container missions?"

You can still get supplies from missions, because the containers still award supplies. But the amount will be GREATLY reduced, especially for Legends - same (now very low) amount of supplies on offer from containers at recruit, or at Legend.
