Hello, tankers!

We are in a hurry to please you with a quick boost to the game's arsenal with a new long-range turret, the Scorpion!

It will be able to attack targets with both standard projectiles from the main turret, as well as using missiles that are capable of hitting targets behind cover.

Normal shot

A normal turret shot can be fired with a short press of the fire button. The turret shoots large-caliber, high-velocity projectiles.

Unlike other turrets with projectiles, the Scorpion cannon suffers from only a minimal reduction in damage over long distances.

Normal shots do not use the reload bar. What does this mean? Basically, there is still a reload time, but you will have to rely either on memory, or on the sound of reloading, or on a special bolt cover on the turret model to know when the turret is ready to shoot again.

The reload bar is responsible for indicating the readiness of the rocket launchers. It takes even longer than Shaft's sniping mode to fully aim, but in return, missiles are capable of destroying even a heavy tank.

Rocket launcher shot

To use the rocket launcher, you must hold the fire button. Scorpion rocket launchers have several unique properties.

  • Keeping the target in sight is only necessary to initiate the target acquisition. You can continue to lock on even if the target has disappeared behind cover.

  • The missiles are not launched directly at the target, but instead are launched high up. Because of this, choosing a successful launch distance will allow you to attack the enemy from above, and therefore hit them even behind cover.

Use missiles against targets behind cover, and when they run, finish them off with regular turret shots.

Sounds cool, doesn't it? Do you already want to try out the new turret in a battle?

Well patient tankers, there's not long to wait!

Another turret that shoots into the sky so you cannot hide no matter what you do because maps were not built with magnum and scorpion in mind... great... oh and let me guess another helios level item in ultra containers for "early access"?
Dont worry about rockets aim in arms race being as good as average MM player,  its just to throw you off thinking buyers won't receive OP "early access" turret.

so basically it's a noob proof version of Striker packed with a longer reload/more damage version of Smoky?

From what i'm reading i already know it's going to be c-word

If it's supposed to "discourage camping" by taking care of campers then you got it all wrong, because giving the ability to lock on BEHIND cover means that THIS is going to be the camping turret par excellence. And you're not going to be able to do anything about it, just peek for half a second and you've got an enemy locked in the bag.

Start saving up for protection module lads, this thing is going to be everywhere.

What kind of augment will it have?

I can't wait to find out, and hopefully those fun augments aren't EMP, armor piercing, burning, freezing, stun or whatever. You know, the idea of tanks on augments is starting to dry up. Everything is starting to look the same.

@KimuraJust like the original Tesla, I still remember the scene when Tesla hadn’t been added to the garage, some buyers even used its gold augments and I couldn’t even see its shadow. . Tanks have always been like this and want you to give it more money

'Original' would not have been what i will describe it. Both in looks, and in abilities. I can verify that this is what a ten year old will think up, because i thought of the exact same idea for a turret when I was ten. I am kinda embarrased about it lol, and the name 'scorpion' is too bland. Why not atleast is the greek word or something bruh. And the skin is nowhere near a scorpion likeness. The skin is basically striker, gauss, and magnum rolled into one.

The arcade shots are as boring as gauss's, and its sniper shots are just a mix of striker and magnum. I actually thought someone was hacking striker when i saw rockets rain down from above.

Total downvote.

From the (sped up) gifs it seems that the missiles fly up high and then fly towards the target while maintaining the same altitude, then when they are above the target, they will turn downwards like a Javelin's missile would do. It seems that the missiles are pretty slow so that might give the chance to a target to escape or relocate.

From a few videos i've seen the missiles seem to have a slow turn rate, this means that they will probably be inefficient against fast moving targets and close range targets.

You know what would have been actually original? As the alt-fire mode, having a grappling hook with a certain range that hooks an enemy Tank and pulls it towards you...

It would have been fun to troll Magnums and Shafts, to kill Saboteur players sitting in the base, and pulling Titans out of their protective Dome.

Because you know... Scorpion...

But no, rockets again: I sleep.

Hmm so If I see a Scorpion already initiated the target acquisition on me, I may aswell self-destruct to respawn sooner? ?

Not sure how I feel about that.

You're pretty much dead when it's locked on on those big maps *cough* siege in Berlin *cough*. So yea, I would just wave the white flag and ask myself, "why am I still playing this game?"

Normally I would say sounds interesting but this time I will say doesn't sound interesting at all.

I got matched with the developer @Opex-Rah and I got the feeling even he couldn't understand why they came up with this "new" weapon.

We got smashed by the opposing team despite Hazel using this new weapon.

I got surprised he actually stayed in battle because he would have just quit before if he had got a "worse" team.

At least that's my experience playing with or against him.

Now to the more important things.

Where's my Ducks paint? ?
