Today we updated the PRO-Battles in the game!

 

PRO-Battles — this is a place where you can play by special rules, earning crystals and experience.

 

Lobby

 

There is only one big «Play» button in the game lobby, and when clicked, it offers a choice of game type: holiday mode, classic matchmaking with the option to select a mode or PRO-Battles.
 

 

Earning crystals and experience points

 

Now in PRO-Battles it has become possible to earn crystals and experience points! The exception is the «Parkour» format - there is always something strange going on there, so it is left without this privilege.

 

You can earn a limited number of crystals and experience per day. After exceeding the limit, even gold boxes will not give you crystals.

 

The amount of the available fund depends on the rank. Ranking up allows you to get additional crystals and experience. With the Premium pass, the available limits are increased by FIVE times.

 

Crystals and experience can be earned in any battle format and even private battles. Play where you enjoy the most!

 

Battle formats

 

By default in the PRO-Battle format, it is recommended to select one of the following formats:

 

PRO-Battles

Here you play by your own rules. Create battles with any settings, find friends, hunt your enemies. Fight or socialize - the choice is yours.

Classic

A long time ago, Tanki Online started with this format. Modules, augments, overdrives and drones are disabled here. A real old school experience.

Railgun Master

Only Railguns, only hardcore. Here you fight on the lightest tanks with the heaviest Railguns. Absolute minimalism.

Sport

Team fights where everyone is equal. In this format, upgraded equipment does not play any role here, and modules, augments and drones are disabled. Only pure skill matters.

Parkour

Parkour happens in Tanki Online! This format removes restrictions on access to any corner of the map. The winner is the one who does the coolest jump to the top of the house.

 

List of battles

 

After choosing a format, a list of battles opens. By clicking on different battles, you can view the detailed information in the window on the right.

 

In the menu on the left there is a battle filter by battle modes and a search by map name. Daily limits and the «Create battle» button are also displayed there.

 

In the top menu, you can switch between formats.

 

Creating a battle

 

By clicking the «Create battle» button, several stages await you: format selection → mode selection → map selection → detailed battle settings on the right side of the screen.

 

Then you can invite your friends or join the battle.

 

Special chats

 

While you are in one of the formats, press «TAB» to open the chat channel corresponding to the format. There you can find allies for battle or friends by interest.

I think they did this on purpose, they want people to play by press quick battle rather than joigning a specific mode.

Now I can't choose auto matchmaking battles. :-(

I like the fact that pro battles now allows players to earn crystals in battles, even with a crystals cap limit. At least, players are gifted the prize of earning crystals in XP and pro battles. Players will now enjoy pro battles and XP better.

Feedback/Suggestion(s):

Frankly, I expected a higher degree of customisation than before. Something like the ability to turn off protection modules, or an option to customize the turrets/hulls/drones that can be used in the battle. It would be great if these options (and anything similar) get added to PRO-battles.

I played a couple of pro battles today and it is quite fun, much slower, relaxed gameplay. Great if you just want to chill out and not to be bombarded by all the augments overdrives etc.

I liked it a lot, now the battle modes are very visible, and the maps and battle options are also visible, and finally the old xp bp back.

Would be cool if map names and the format of the battle could be translated into the client's language. As someone who doesn't speak Russian, it's a bit annoying to click through a battle list which is entirely in Russian.

Depends on the settings of course, but for example I like playing games with supplies off, overdrives off, etc. The flow of the battle is just slower and you don't need to process things happening around you so fast.

 

Don't get me wrong though, I like the craziness the MM posseses aswell, it's just nice to have both options.

Hello tanki, ive revised my opinion on this update. Verdict:

AWESOME!! After a game of CLASSIC serpuhov ctf, my heart is almost breaking with nostalgia, grief, and hapiness at the same time. It is so wonderful to finally feel the adrenine pump through me as i take the flag and run for cover, as snipers everwhere try to smell me out! It feels great not to have to worry about drones! It feels great to be balanced!!!! It feels great to see no hovering hulls or tesla! The nostalgia hits me like a 3-tonner!!! I am almost crying with joy right now! Its likw there is a taboo never to equip hovering hulls or tesla! I love this! Campers are everywhere! Ive finly found a fun way to play Tanki! Thank you sooooooo much!!

Something that makes me very happy about the pro battles is that they have returned the old system as in flash, continue to see the list of battles even if the information of the selected one is shown, faster, smoother and more comfortable, and above all the design it has and how it organizes it to simplify everything at first sight and even more with the new function or option of icons
