Patch Update #692 - Released 24th June 2022

 

  • New turret added to Ultra Containers — Scorpion Mk1
    • (Note) That’s the Early Access to the «Scorpion» turret. Its balance and visuals are subject to change, and its mechanics may be improved.
  • Improved notification icons in the Lobby

    • Now an icon disappears after 5 seconds in the menu, if the player clicks on a button with an updated item, or if the player exits this screen to another screen

    • Missions menu notification icon disappears too

  • Tesla
    • Added animation for the turret’s claws when shooting
  • Ricochet
    • «Destabilized Plasma» augment
      • Shots are now able to ricochet once
      • Range of average damage decreased from 4 to 2 meters
      • Average splash damage and Minimum splash damage changed from 90% and 25% to 50%
      • Projectile speed is no longer increased
    • «Plasma Torch» augment

      • Projectile speed decrease changed from -40% to -50%

    • «Sizzling Field» augment

      • Hitting an enemy with a critical shot or after ricochet will apply the «Burning» status effect for 4 seconds

      • Works the same way as the «Destabilized Plasma» augment

    • «Cryo Field» augment

      • Hitting an enemy with a critical shot or after ricochet will apply the «Freezing» status effect to them for 10 seconds.

      • Works the same way as the «Destabilized Plasma» augment 

    • «Magnetron» augment

      • Hitting an enemy with a critical shot or after ricochet will apply the «EMP» status effect to them for 1 second

      • Works the same way as the «Destabilized Plasma» augment

    • «Tectonic field» augment

      • Hitting an enemy with a critical shot or after ricochet will apply the «Stun» status effect to them for 0.4 seconds

      • Works the same way as the «Destabilized Plasma» augment 

    • «Super-smart Minus-Field» augment

      • Hitting an enemy with a critical shot or after ricochet will apply the «Armor-Piercing» status effect to them for 3 seconds

      • Works the same way as the «Destabilized Plasma» augment 

    • «Jamming Field» augment

      • Any damage will apply the «Jammer» status effect to a target for 1 second

      • Removed other features of the augment

    • «Pulsar» augment

      • Critical chance decreased by 50%

    • «Helios» augment

      • Shots are now able to ricochet once 

    • Updated Garage descriptions for the augments

  • Smoky

    • Fixed the way «Sorted Ammunition» augment works

    • (Note) Permanent fix for now

  • Striker

    • Fixed the way anti-cheat works so it won’t cause all rockets after the first one to lose damage

    • Added an anti-cheat setting that won’t let rockets deal damage if the system considers this damage be illegal

    • (Note) You can't see if the rocket doesn't deal damage if you haven't launched the rocket. ?

  • Scorpion

    • Minor changes in design

    • Added the «Adrenaline» augment available for crystals

      • Maximum damage bonus: 30%

    • Added the «Explosive Shells» augment available for crystals

      • Radius of average splash damage is 2 meters

      • Radius of minimal splash damage is 10 meters

      • Projectile speed decreased by 50%

      • Projectiles cannot ricochet

    • Added the «Explosive Warheads» augment available for crystals

      • Radius of average splash damage is 3 meters

      • Radius of minimal splash damage is 10 meters

    • Added the «Missile launcher «Wolfpack» augment available for crystals

      • Number of rockets in salvo is 8

      • Aiming duration is increased by +100%

      • Initial rocket speed is decreased by -99%

      • Maximum rocket speed is increased by +1100%

      • Time to reach max rocket speed is increased by +300%

    • Fixed the bug with a main barrel’s projectile passing through a target ignoring the radius of the projectile on contact with the target

    • Fixed Gear Score settings

    • Fixed rank limits and prices of some modifications

    • Augments now are visible in the «ТАВ» menu 

    • Fixed the bug with missing splash damage

  • Added a module «Vulture» with protection from Scorpion. Available in the Garage for crystals

  • Increased overdrive warmup duration from 1.1 to 1.2 for all overdrives except Wasp's

    • (Note) Wasp's overdrive doesn’t have the warmup stage.

  • Added Scorpion augments to regular containers

    • (Note) Augments are not listed in the list of containers drop and cannot be obtained if you do not have the corresponding turret

  • Fixed the Garage description for Railgun’s «Round Stabilization» augment and Hammer’s «Slugger» augment

  • Fixed the rare bug with critical damage chance being reduced

  • Added music for PRO battles menu

  • Added previews for Space maps to PRO battles

Wait a second....

I should be happy cause I own the augment, but I don´t understand at all why would you buff  such a strong augment.

If you listened to the players like YANUKFIN, LambSauce, TheCongoSpider, King.David, 2shots2kills, JustBlackWolf, stat.padder, fire_shoter and many others, this game could have much more interesting and balanced MM. 

These guys provide you with valuable feedback based on first hand experience because they actually play this game. Of course there are few moderators that stay true to themselves and give genuine feedback about the current state of the game as well, first that comes to mind is frederik123456. 

I am not going to talk about biased yes-man as they are extremely unfair and abuse special treatment that they have.

Wake up God damn, it’s become really annoying.

Living in delusion must feel awesome.

even though i have it, i use Minus field and plasma torch over it because its completely USELESS because crits never happen. Now its -50% crit chance? lol.

Technically if you shoot at a wall you could cause major self-damage.

Only the player that dont turn the turret would be in such case, what I think is that they are trying to make that augment the godlike augment of the game, like we have the godlike drone (crisis) the godlike module(armadillo) and now this would  the augment everytime in the exotic tier. I think this because it's everytime in the UC since it came out...

Well, with my luck, I don't think I will get my hands on it before it gets officially added to the Garage.

I don't really understand the reason for making the Helios augment stronger than it already was... guess I will have to use 50% all the time from now on. Even though it won't probably help ?

I am confused as well. in the past we could at least counter against it using some obstacles. Now it could be even harder to fight back. I like the idea that each turrets and aug has its own features, good at some points but bad at others. Helios is already powerful in total damage, dps, fire range, now giving it the ability to hit the enemy without facing straight towards them is an awful idea. I am starting to lose my interest in the so-called balance. Perhaps I should always have a teammate who has this aug to play together all the time.

Plus I predict a nerf to helios(the same way that they nerf the RFM shaft), that is it will only be effective in close range, like Plasma-torch. the damage will be greatly reduced once the projectiles travels more than such range(though indeed it CAN travels very long like minus-field). 

Helios reminds me of blunderbuss about a year ago. Let us see how "normal" it will become in the future.

Helios buffed? Are you planning to put it in the next Tanki Fund or what? Because there must be a reason behind this, you can't be that insane. 

 

Also Pulsar nerfed, that thing is so useless that I never see it around, alright. 

 

How about you buff base Ricochet that has NO range and it is closer to a peashooter at this point? Oh right, we gotta sell Helios first.

I should have bought ricochet module mk7 in Tanki birthday sale…

I really regret that I didn’t…

Melee range turret doesn’t work at all because Helios can kill me easily before I approach them.

I am made to leave such battle because I can’t change equipment to long range turret because of recent update. (Takes 15 mins :/)

Tanki you should add an Augment called Meteor Shower for Scorpion. Locks on instantly and the splash damage is the same as Magnum and launches a salvo of rockets until the locked on enemy dies. Also if there are remaining missiles, they ricochet only once from the floor, back up into the air and target the next closest enemy. It’s balanced I swear.

Unplayable?? They use that augment to reduce my health by 3/4. 
Reload time is less also, cant even hide now with this change

Actually I myself think adding a new feature is good, but there should be some nerf to weak it in other ways, like i said, the fire range. Helios is useful because its total damage could be dealt in 1-2 seconds, so directly reduce the damage is not a good idea but we could force the users to fight close to the enemies.  Then the ability to bounce once is really welcomed.

Also let me reminds the Plasma Turbo Accelerator. Lmao it is a clown compared to helios
