Patch Update #699 - Released 2nd September 2022

 

  • «Steampunk» set of skins for Twins and Mammoth added to the Ultra Containers

  • A player stops getting experience points once they rank up and until they leave the battle

    • (Note) This feature works only for the matchmaking battles. It is required to simplify the process of adding the contextual tutorial. It should prevent newcomers from getting new ranks multiple times in the same battle.

  • Forest MM map is replaced with the updated Forest MM Remastered version

  • The contextual tutorial is added to the game

    • (Note) To collect your feedback and to release the tutorial as soon as possible, we haven’t added the option to skip tutorial steps yet

  • Special tutorial missions added to the game

    • For completing each of them, you get 1 Regular Container

    • For completing all of them, you get 100 tankoins

    • (Note) All players can obtain rewards for these missions, not just the newcomers

  • First modifications of all turrets and hulls can no longer be purchased in the Garage for crystals, except for the following turrets: Smoky, Twins and Firebird, and for the following hulls: Viking, Crusader and Hunter.

  • Ricochet’s «Helios» augment

    • Energy consumed per shot decrease changed from -10% to -15%

    • Energy recharge speed decreased by 27%

  • Striker

    • «Missile launcher «Hunter» augment

      • Aiming time decrease changed from -60% to -75%

      • Aiming recovery time decreased by 50%

    • «Stunning Missiles» augment

      • This augment’s settings repeat settings of the «Missile launcher «Hunter» augment

      • Critical hits can apply the «Stun» status effect

      • Status effect duration increased from 0.4 s. to 1 s.

    • «Armor-Piercing Missiles» augment

      • This augment’s settings repeat settings of the «Missile launcher «Hunter» augment

      • Critical hits can apply the «Armor-Piercing» status effect

      • Status effect duration increased from 2 s. to 5 s.

  • Thunder

    • «Hyperspeed» shells» augment

      • Removed the -25% decrease of the range of minimum damage

  • Shaft

    • «Rapid-fire mode» augment

      • Energy recovery rate increase changed from +167% to +66%

      • Energy consumed per arcade shot decreased from 384 to 370.

      • Maximum sniping damage decrease changed from -66% to -40%

  • The initial amount of crystals in a new account changed from 1000 to 0 crystals

  • All default protection modules Mk1 and Mk2 are now available for the «First Sergeant» rank

  • «Capture the Flag» and «Capture Points»  are now available for newcomers earlier than the «Team Deathmatch» mode

  • The weekly «Get into the TOP-3» mission is removed. You can no longer get it.

  • Fixed the bug with Chaos damage being counted as Critical damage in missions

  • Now inactive accounts need to play 3 battles in order to get access, not only to the Lobby chat but to the Battle chats too.

Classic Alternativa. Let's solve a small problem while introducing significant side effect.

So Helios is finally being shifted to really act more like a sniper, Striker got buffed, Hyperspeed nerfed (thank goodness) and RFM got screwed to promote the revamped Helios. Ah well. Could have been worse.

It's a flat nerf for Helios. It will take 6 seconds to fully reload its energy instead of the current 4.34 seconds.

Not a flat nerf because the energy consumption is now lower. So maybe a shot more per salvo?

This looks like a bonus shot for Helios in a burst, so cannot agree with you.

And that bonus shot is exactly what you need to cheese a medium hull with Booster.

I really, really, really dislike this. The 3 battles to have access to the lobby chat were already annoying enough, but being a pro battles player, I still didn't really care. 

And now you force us too to play something we don't want to, this is ridiculous

Helios a nerf but not really a big nerf

Thunder hyperspeed nerfed to the ground as an mk8 thunder need to be 120 m far to deal the x2 damage(not x4 as there is -50% regular damage dec)

Shaft rapid turned to be useless now 

Striker buff , good 

Overall a good patch

I just hope to see a patch where we will be able to sell paints for any value even a low value of tankions or crystals  I'll accept any offer for my tons of useless animated and non paints?

Ricochet has 3 parameters giving it its total shots per clip. All of them work together. That -15% change is to allow it to stay at giving 6-7 shots (depending on the modification) due to the energy recovery rate being reduced. What it will be like pinpoint exactly, we can only see after the patch goes live but...

 

What gives Helios that 8th trickle shot at Mk7+ now has to do with the fast energy recovery rate. If the recovery rate was 0 eng/sec, it would have only shot 6 times. If the recovery rate was 1,000,000 eng/sec, it would shoot infinitely. If the energy consumption per shot on the current Mk7+ Helios was reduced by 30%, it would shoot ~10 times. If the energy consumption per shot was the same as Stock, then it would shoot 6 times. The firing rate is fixed for both so the energy recovery rate plays a big part in the total shots per clip. 

 

Basically it evens out to shooting roughly the same number of shots in a burst but it takes longer to fully reload the energy (which also negatively affects how well it can deal trickle damage after).

yes now you only have to do this to make the game playable:
1. More crystals than XP or just buff normal container crystal packs.

2. No selling of mk7 (example) kits in the shop FIVE RANKS before mk7 can be unlocked in the garage. 

3. Balance the rank spread.

4. Balance game equipment so its not either you oneshot the enemy or you never kill the enemy because you do 1damage/sec

i guess its not just to make the game more newcomer friendly, these are the things that WOULD MAKE THE DAMN GAME PLAYABLE AND MORE SKILL BASED and not just random non-turret turning noob who has no idea he even plays the game oneshotting you because he got lucky while using saboteur or miner to mine the base so hard that you literally cannot take the flag/ball

A total of six augments?
Golden Star in Silver tier 11??
Legendary-tier Stun firebird in silver tier???

What is happening? ?

Golden star has been present in silver tier before actually.

Yes , they plan to add 1 crystal aug and 1 legendary aug for free tiers every challenge

Six augments? Cool 

Heavyweight Mammoth - useless in MM at least from my experience

EMP Mammoth - x10000 times better than heavyweight and its best immunity imo so ill give them that.

Shooting Speed vulcan - lol

Rubber vulcan - as useless as updates hazel does to this game.

Stun firebird - i dont have to but from what i saw its nothing OP its not even powerful also firebird is dead.

Jammer Firebird - didnt we just get jamming freeze which is basically the same thing? bruh.

Golden star & Frost were in challenges many times also its just a crystal paint who cares? It can cost 99 trillion crystals i dont care if its in a challenge.

Conclusion: Challenge is good on paper 6 augments expensive paints oh my god! How amazing! But in reality it is filled with the worst augments so... lol

I personally bought BP just so i could collect stun & jam firebird and Trapped Inside is my favourite paint. If i was f2p or a non-collector there is absolutely no way in hell im buying BP or saying its good.

and if you are interested you can enter the test server to see the update, the garage is really empty ?

Interesting changes for new players, I always have a feel that new players don't continue to play more than a few hours.  My reasoning for why they removed the 1K given crystals is to make new players feel like they progressing.  Also the rank limiting is a very good point.  ➕ I liked how the cleaned the garage for new players, to not make it stuffy and complicated for them (eventhough my opinion is obvious about putting them in containers?). I still believe that tutorial is boring, I have seen it in test server. But as most of the games are using it, ex. CoC, I don't know of other people are reading / following them. For me, I never.
