You are talking rubbish, they nerfed railgun even more with this change. The complaint that railgun is OP in the long range is childish. Ofc it is a long range turret what do people expect. To force players to play railgun is close combat is ludicrous. Every single turret in the game is better close range that railgun, which takes long to reload and best scenario takes 3 shots to kill, including repair kit. Railgun is dead, it remains dead and incompetent mult devs killed it.

 

Whoever makes these changes will never learn. At this point in the game long range turrets are much stronger than close range, especially in the big maps. The solution is not to make long range turrets useless for long range play, but to buff close range turrets. If you make railgun and scorpion good for close combat, it wont make any difference because of the reload. Isida, Firebird, Freeze, Tesla all win in 1v1 with rail even with this change and it is not even close. Even when rail was OP before, not many people used it, as it is high skill. 

The reason long range turrets are stronger is because you can damage your opponent, or force him to use repair kit before he reaches you. This change is stupid and doesn't make any sense.

Let me guess... Camper? ?

I don't have anything against camping. It's a long range turret, so it's good for camping.  I myself keep a good distance from enemy as that's how we are suppose to play using this turret so far.  And I agree that it got nerf in that aspect. But now Railgun is way better is a lot of other scenarios.

if you are referring to what I said, then I didn't say railgun is OP in long range. I said that even in long range, Railgun is not that good because it's hard to find distant camping spots in every battle as most of the maps and modes are mid range.

And even if one find such spot for camping, most of the times we won't be able to do high score compared to other team mates. (unless one is playing modes like TDM)

Only in really really long range without any augments.
On the other hand Railgun just became really great in mid-range.
For camping, one can equip other augments on Railgun.

Last year when Railgun got the first major nerf. I suggested that

"The damage a long range turret like railgun deals, should increase with distance. So at longer distance turret will deal more damage. "

Now this update is opposite to that ? but I feel like it's better this way?
I suggested increasing damage with increasing distance as Railgun is considered a long range turret.
But looking at this update, it never really crossed my mind that opposite can be this good.

If you still wish to use Railgun in really long range, then I will suggest augments like Round Destabilization. They are still good in really long range.

Or just go with Round Stabilization, it still doesn't decrease damage with distance.

I honestly appreciate that RS is getting some niche uses including stable critical chance and now stable ranged damage. It's really come far from being a useless esports augment.

What prompts you to continually ruin the game with unnecessary updates? You had a good ruin with the version prior to this. The new UI is trash, the new turrets balance update is unfair and renders most long-range turrets useless now. Seriously, what goes through your minds as you push those obviously unfinished updates?

You're probably going to remove this comment because it's a "negative feedback" of sorts. I can't with you people... you actively push things players never asked for, forum-dwelling players or day-to-day players. This is absurd.

There's no doubt the game started relying on money the moment they introduced premium memberships. But now? What is even there to milk the players off? The player-base is already too low to begin with thanks to this HTML5 migration, why diminish that already small player-base to an even lower one? What's the end-goal here?

THEY CARE ONLY ABOUT MONEY!  Take comments away they dont like so sad upates make it hard to read so sad i have not spent money on this game in over 3 years never will unless they change sniper rload back and these new updates suck so bad

urgh i tried 2 battles but really with new UI: SWITCHED IMMEDIATELY IN CENTER (thankfully you  can switch . KUDOS *+++++***  for leaving that option )
i  CAN NOT SEE A DAMN thing WITH THE DIFFERENT UI !  i will re-read explanation but not really understand  the gain     , You have to move your eyes away from game action /tank to look for health and stats , i cannot even see if supply are equipped in time ( like when i respawn and i have a delay so i have to press more times to get the first supply equipped) .

With the "OLD" setting the "battle situation banner" ( up in the screen center) is a bit tiny though!  It0s needed to assest  situation of the battle  ( points taken  in cp  and so on )  , , but it does not need to be SUPER large , just that is a bit too much little.

I can understand graphic changes and tactical perks ..  but this is honestly too drastic   ,hope some feedbacks will help to get back some sense in it so you can get 2 cool modes  . I play in a 32" monitor and everything is so out of reach that is discouraging in new ui .
,that you have to play by sense if you engage it . heck i dont see even tank damage in time.
EDIT

: NEW" icon" for Kills battle notification( not the first time i think that get changed..) .
Lol AGAIN  must learn "which icon is what "( to switch protection) . At least you could have given some colours to get it faster .
I could not understand in a battle if the freeze or the fire was  killing more teammates .

I don't understand how this is a good update. It's awful to say the least. My max railgun which already was a 'low damage dealing' turret now deals even less damage. The scout augment is not as snappy as before and barely does damage. Not to mention viking overdrive with railgun is literally just 4 to 5 shots. The reload time during override even with scout is so long its useless. Thanks for ruining an already undermined turret Tanki. This game is getting worse every single day

@crystalmaiden I know right ? Its so bad, barely does damage and most people having 50 % prot does not help one bit. I liked railgun before this update even though it was not a strong turret, now there is no point in using it. If anything should have been nerfed it was supposed to either gauss or scorpion or both. They are so OP its not  even a joke.

Imagine, long range turrets should be good in long range, what a shock. I am not a camper, but as a railgun player, obviously you will be in defence helping your team hitting enemies. If railgun was so good for camping, everyone would use it, but even when railgun was really good, only a few players could dominate the games as it is high skill. Making railgun good in mid-range is foolish as every single turret is better than it. Having long range turrets being strong on long range is kinda logical. You cannot make close range turrets good on long range, doesn't make any sense. The solution is to make long range turrets strong and close range turrets strong, not make long range turrets useless. This change will make railgun useless. If anyone wants to use rail for close combat, be my guest, free kills for me,

To be fair, I don't remember anyone pining for an update to the interface - the previous UI, though most players have become accustomed to its layout since it remained (mostly) the same for years, was arguably good enough not to be tinkered with - I think its pretty good, and if I was to be somewhat critical I could say I don't like the positioning of the supplies. I prefer having supplies in the middle of my screen since it helps with knowing when a supply cooldown has ended. (good thing they gave an option to position them centrally instead!) Not sure if anyone actually uses that circular map to know where enemies are on the top left-hand side, but I sure as hell don't. I do risk speaking on behalf of others when I say I know where enemies are not by using that sensor but by spotting an enemy tank itself. Perhaps they're trying to replicate other shooter games that have it, an arguably more important/useful feature to have in those games when it isn't nearly as useful here. But they have further modernised the interface which I am a fan of. They've also (finally) moved the notifications for whenever a flag is captured/point/captured AND notifications for when gold boxes are dropped. I can't tell you how many times I've been unsuspecting of a gold dropping because of the orange font and its positioning on the far left-hand corner of the screen. But a slight size increase for these notifications would be helpful.

Railgun update seems to favour a more versatile and dynamic playstyle?  I'm not a railgun user (on MM anyway). But we'll know if the changes are welcomed as time passes.

Scorpion is already an irritating turret. AP on critical arcade is a pain, but with every rocket too? Would railgun really have been given a space to be viable with another boost to Scorpion?

This may be radical or long-awaited for some, but I think short-range turrets need a space to compete. Not tesla, but specifically Firebird/Isida. Firebird is more or less trash. Compact fuel tanks is useless in most situations since you can have 50% firebird protection and a perfectly timed repair kit to negate any damage. It's then becomes irrelevant when a tank has heat resistance. The magnetic mix augment can be nice, but the burning effect unlike compact fuels tanks is horrible.

Isida can be quite good (if you're lucky enough to have vampire nanobots), for which it can be a great turret on the right map, but again most long range turrets if you dont have nanobots can deal with Isidas pretty quickly.

not a fan of this new changes , seeing the past system worked fine. 1 huge issue is to remove the location indicator where players are ( top left side of screen ) it should go back down to the bottom, this circle hinders the players view when playing. its like the annoying dot that never goes away.

I've played a few battles with the new HUD and I really like it. With every update I love this game more and more. ?
I have one criticism, having a radar is annoying, it's useless to me. I would like to have an option in settings to disable it.

Nerf HAMMER! This turret needs nerf for yesterday...

Man, how we can play with a lot of players using this turret? And Skorpion... It's impossible in some matches. 

How hammer can Kill Dictator M7-20 (with drone full, and armor) in 1 second? This is suck.

It's just a player give us 2 shots in 1 second (with augment for Hammer), and we are dead, you has not time to use life, overdrive, nothing! Nerf now.
