Patch Update #712 - Released 13th January 2023

 

  • A new augment for Scorpion has been added to Ultra Containers — «EMP shells»

    • (Note) This augment applies the «EMP» status effect to an opponent on an arcade critical hit and on each rocket hit

  • Isida

    • «Vampire Nanobots» augment

      • Recovers HP at the rate of 35% instead of 50% of your base damage per tick

  • Hammer

    • «Adaptive reload» augment

      • Changed to Legendary rarity, no longer available for crystals and is added to the «Legendary» category of containers

  • Ricochet

    • Projectile speed increased from 100-120 to 150-200 m/sec

    • «Berserk» augment

      • Changed to Legendary rarity, no longer available for crystals and is added to the «Legendary» category of containers

    • «Helios» augment

      • The increase of Projectile speed changed from +100% to +50%

      • The decrease in Energy recovery rate changed from -27% to -50%

  • Striker

    • Min rocket speed decreased from 10-20 to 1 m/sec

    • Max rocket speed decreased from 350 to 300-350 m/sec

    • Rocket acceleration time decreased from 1.5 to 0.7 sec

    • Aiming time decreased from 4.2-2.8 to 3.9-2.6 sec

    • Radius of average splash damage decreased from 5 to 2 m

    • Average splash damage percentage decreased from 90% to 50%

    • Weak splash damage percentage increased from 25% to 50%

    • «Remote rocket explosives» augment

      • Min rocket speed is always 20 m/sec

      • Rocket acceleration time is always 1.5 sec

    • «Missile launcher «Uranium» augment

      • Changed to Legendary rarity, no longer available for crystals and is added to the «Legendary» category of containers

  • Thunder

    • «Hyperspeed» shells» augment

      • Weak damage percentage decreased from 330% to 300%

    • «Vacuum» shells» augment

      • Average splash damage percentage decreased from 250% to 220%

      • Removed the decrease of Critical hit chance

  • Magnum

    • The turret received an aiming indicator which is shown when aiming

    • Amplification increased from 2.0 to 2.9-2.6 sec

    • Number of steps of charging increased from 20 to 100 steps

    • «Mortar» augment

      • Mine lifetime increased from 30 to 60 seconds

      • Changed to Legendary rarity, no longer available for crystals and is added to the «Legendary» category of containers

  • Railgun

    • «Large caliber rounds» augment

      • Changed to Legendary rarity, no longer available for crystals and is added to the «Legendary» category of containers

  • Gauss

    • Reload time in sniping mode increased from 7.2-5.0 to 8.4-5.8 sec

    • «Electromagnetic salvo» augment

      • Critical shots apply the «EMP» status effect for 2 seconds

      • Salvo shots apply the «EMP» status effect for 3 seconds

    • «Armor-Piercing Salvo» augment

      • Critical shots apply the «Armor-Piercing» status effect for 5 seconds

      • Salvo shots apply the «Armor-Piercing» status effect for 9 seconds

    • Fixed flash color for the «VioleNt» shot effect

  • Shaft

    • «Rapid-fire mode» augment

      • Changed to Legendary rarity, no longer available for crystals and is added to the «Legendary» category of containers

  • Paladin's Overdrive - Supportive Polarizer

    • Duration decreased from 20 to 15 sec

    • No longer protects from «Burning» and «Freezing» status effects

  • Adrenaline augments

    • Firebird — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +39% to +29%

    • Freeze — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +39% to +29%

    • Isida — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +39% to +29%

    • Tesla — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +39% to +29%

    • Hammer — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +36% to +26%

    • Twins — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +36% to +26%

    • Ricochet — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +36% to +26%

    • Smoky — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +33% to +23%

    • Vulcan — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +33% to +23%

    • Striker — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +33% to +23%

    • Thunder — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +33% to +23%

    • Scorpion — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +30% to +20%

    • Magnum — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +30% to +20%

    • Railgun — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +30% to +20%

    • Gauss — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +30% to +20%

    • Shaft — Changed the maximum increase of damage from +30% to +20%

  • Gear Score

    • Changed GS for «Brutus» drone from 33-2733 to 33-1733 GS

    • Changed GS for «Rare» category augments for turrets from 300 to 100 GS

    • Changed GS for «Epic» category augments for turrets from 300 to 200 GS

    • Changed GS for «Rare» category augments for hulls from 300 to 100 GS

  • Fixed the 3D-model of the «Legacy» skin for Freeze

  • Optimized smoke particles of Striker and Magnum shells to increase FPS

  • Removed product kits with drones

  • Minor changes in texts

A long needed update, with pretty much everything I wanted. Vampire nanobots nerf, helios nerf, vacuum/hyperspeed shells somewhat nerf, paladin nerf, Gauss AP actually viable now. Changes to magnum will be interesting...

Changing the G/S. Smart move from the devs. Lets see how much cash they make from this, they know their player base so well.

Just remember that this change will not affect how powerful you are, especially if you are maxed out turret/hull, it will only change your g/s number. Example:- crisis drone. 9999 or 10,000. Makes no difference to how effective it is if it is maxed.  

Can't wait for the devs to realise this and make amendments accordingly.

Lol they never miss a trick.

To be frank, this is a good update for F2P players.

A player with brutus lvl20 is not as strong as a player with crisis lvl 20. Therefore, if the matchmaking system takes into consideration the GS of players, this should help balance the matchups more efficiently.

The energy storage was originally increased by 5% each time, but now it is increased by 1% each time, which means it is smoother

Are you stating that G/S has a effect on MM and puts you in a battle suited to your G/S.

If your answer to this is yes then it further corroborates how useless MM is.

I don´t actually know for sure, but that is what I presumed, along with the rank of course.

On what else would you base the MM?

When charging the current Magnum, you'll see the % go up by +5 across 2 seconds. 

After the change, it will be going up +1 across 2.9-2.6 seconds depending on your modification. This should allow you to better release the shot near to or exactly when you want to shoot, but it also means your firing rate will be decreased a bit.

The GS changes are interesting because now I'll be able to max more prots without getting the look-at-me 9999 GS on the stats window, some of my accounts deliberately have 9993 GS to avoid that

The wasp / hornet + freeze / isida + adrenaline + heavyweight combos I use in rgb / asl / ctf will lose 400 GS but won't be any less effective apart from the adrenaline nerf

Broken AI that has no idea what tanki online is could make better MM system than what we have now. No it doesn't care about your rank or GS. Proof? 5 battles ago i was places with captain level ranks while being Legend 103 9999gs. average GS without mine would be like 5k.

I am allowed to presume. If you presume (and your previous post was not worded as a presumption imo) then players will take it literally.

What would I base MM on. You really want to go there.

To be fair to the mod (and this is a rarity for me) he is as much in the dark on how MM works as regular players are, which consolidates what I said. Mods should not presume anything until they know the facts as some players hang on their every word. 

The devs never explained how MM works, just like they never explained how efficiency rating works.

Why can't you just add option to disable all these particles in graphics settings?

When will you make some updates for mobile version? FPS drops a lot when there is more than one vulcan in a battle, not to mention when scorpions shooting their salvos. Mobile version currently feels like steam flash version from 2021, it's just made to be "playable" and nothing else.

But i'm glad about one thing, since you don't update mobile version, legacy skins aren't ruined there.

Agree the change at LC Skins made them looks like 144p when people are using them in battle they dont look great anymore.

The damage of many turrets in the game decrease across certain ranges. For a maxed Thunder, Stock deals 100% of its damage within 100m, and after 150m, deals 25% of its damage. 

 

Hyperspeed Shells plays around with this mechanic by altering it to deal low damage at close range and high damage at long range. It has a direct damage penalty of -50% and its maximum damage range (the range at which it deals 100% of its damage) is halved. What then changes is its weak damage percentage. Normally, this % is lower than 100% to have the damage drop off with range, but the weak damage being above 100% means your damage will instead increase with range. This weak damage is a % of the base damage, which by default is reduced by 50% with this augment. 

 

So the weak damage being 300% for Hyperspeed Shells would be 450*3 = 1,350, whereas the weak damage being 25% for Stock Thunder would be 900*0.25= 225. 

 

The end result is Stock dealing full damage at short range and low damage at long range, and Hyperspeed Shells dealing low damage at short range and full damage at long range (this full damage is higher than Stock's damage).

Tanki Devs would make good con artists.

they know how to keep their rich clients happy. They give them broken augments for leisure, Provide them the best MM system, where they are placed with low ranks with 4k GS, and every new stuff is offered to them with high prices. When they get bored, peasants like us get to enjoy it for a day then, BOOM, Nerfed. 

Reason? 

The game balance is ruined.

What? The balance is not broken when 1 guy gets 1500 scores with broken augs and ruins other tankers day. But if everyone uses the aug the balance is ruined?

And you people still call it a fair game? You pay 700 tc and 400k to get a good aug and they nerf it the next day how is that even fair? isn't it just a day light robbery?
