Patch Update #714 - Released 3rd February 2023

 

  • A new augment for Thunder has been added to Ultra Containers — «Peacekeeper» shells
    • (Note) This augment applies the «Stun» status effect on critical hits
  • Updated Garage interface
  • Updated icons of augments, skins, shot effects and modules
  • Updated the «TAB» scoreboard in the battle interface
  • Descriptions of all items are now available through a special pop up
  • Position of the dot in the middle of the screen now depends on the camera’s angle
    •  (Note) You can disable the dot in the settings, choose the «Battle» section of the menu and disable the «Display a dot in the middle of the screen» option
  • Freeze
    • Energy Recharge increased from 111 to 1000 eng/sec
    • Energy consumption increased from 125 to 400 eng/sec
  • Twins
    • Critical damage increased from 165-330 to 200-400 HP
    • Critical hit chance decreased from 16% to 11%
    • Projectile speed increased from 50-60 to 50-70 m/sec
  • Vulcan
    • Damage per bullet increased from 22-44 to 40-80 HP
    • Critical damage per bullet decreased from 110-220 to 100-200 HP
    • Reload time increased from 75-60 to 150-100 ms
    • Projectile speed increased from 150-200 to 200-250 m/sec
    • Critical hit chance increased from 2% to 4%
  • Scorpion
    • Regular damage decreased from 625-1250 to 585-1170 HP
  • Terminator (Juggernaut’s turret)
    • Regular damage increased from 840-3360 to 970-3880 HP
    • Critical damage increased from 1680-6720 to 1940-7760
    • Radius of max splash damage increased from 1 to 5 m
    • Radius of average splash damage increased from 2 to 6 m
    • Average splash damage percentage decreased from 90% to 50%
    • Weak splash damage percentage increased from 10% to 50%
  • Hornet’s overdrive
    • Duration of the «Armor-Piercing» status effect increased from 3 to 20 s
    • Radius of applying the «Armor-Piercing» status effect decreased from 360 to 60 m
    • Duration of the «Supercharge» status effect increased from 5 to 7 s
  • Ares’ overdrive
    • Speed decreased from 25 to 20 m/s
    • Damage/Healing decreased from 300 to 240 hp/sec
  • «Heavyweight Construction» augments
    • The increase of hull's weight changed to +50% for all hulls
  • Control Points mode
    • Speed of capturing a point is decreased from 20%/s to 15%/s
    • A captured point no longer restores its state itself when the opposite team tried to re-capture it
    • A neutral point restores its neutral state much faster than earlier
    • Speed of getting mode score points for holding a captured point increased from 0.25 per sec to 0.5 per sec
    • The number of points required to win in a matchmaking battle increased from 50 to 100
  • Siege mode
    • The delay before a new point appears after the previous one was captured is increased from 10 to 17 sec
  • Updated regular Containers 
    • Added Hammer’s «Jamming Shot» augment
    • Added Ricochet’s «Sizzling Field» augment
    • Added Ricochet’s «Cryo field» augment 
    • Added Ricochet’s «Magnetron» augment 
    • Added Ricochet’s «Tectonic field» augment
    • Added Ricochet’s «Jamming Field» augment 
    • Added Smoky’s «Jamming rounds» augment 
    • Added Thunder’s «Salamander» shells» augment
    • Added Thunder’s «Wyvern» shells» augment
    • Added Thunder’s «Corrosion» shells» augment

Ares OD is balanced

My favourite change. Back to "Vulcan Bots" dominating every battle after they press one button and drives around. Im sure nothing is wrong with this... Pressing one button to get guaranteed first place with like 1k+ score playing TDM in non-TDM modes.

So... it's basically Firebird now? It'll only shoot for 2.5 seconds and recharge in 1. This is probably terrible for Freeze because it relies on constant firing for the cold effect to work.

Increasing damage even more. O.O The decreased Twins chance is something of a Pulsar nerf on paper. It'll have a max chance of 7-8%. Vulcan looks like it'll be insufferable, though.

Hornet... buff? No longer extreme map-wide AP, but that is a wild AP duration. If someone doesn't have RK, it's over for them. Nice Supercharge buff.
Ares nerf. Nice.

not sure how useful this will be since the AP effect is only a one time thing (not continuous like Paladin's).

good to see a Vulcan buff but I do agree with the earlier concern about vulcan bots.

Twins in general is one of the weakest turrets (I call it the suicide gun). Rounds are still too slow, impact force is low, damage is low, splash damage affects self more than enemy.

To be honest, Pulsar just made twins useable, just like Helios made ricochet useable. But good to see some buffs at least.

Vulcan isn't getting a straight damage buff like Firebird and Freeze got last week. The reload time is being increased. It will be an overall buff (current: 233.33-733.33, after 266.66-800) but critical DPS during Supercharge is also being almost halved. It'll be strong again at higher modifications with the better hit rate from the faster projectile speed but you may be overreacting.

I think you don't know what i meant by "Vulcan Bot" conbo. Vulcan as a turret can do 4000dmg/sec i don't care as long as Vulcan Bot conbo is not a thing.

Vulcan Bot conbo is vulcan paired with flying hull. While it sounds like your average joe conbo it's actually not. Because you're literally playing on Auto-Pilot.

On mobile you press auto-shoot button and just drive around. That's it.

On PC i guess you need to hold your mouse and drive. Super difficult to pull of i mean it got me shaking! 

Now this negative skill conbo EASILY and i mean WITH NO EFFORT gets you 50+ kills in matchmaking battle with AT LEAST 1k+ score. If you at least have functioning human brain. You literally cannot in any reality convince me it's fair or balanced because its obviously broken. Oh and like i said Vulcan Bots DON'T PLAY WHAT THE MODE wants them to play, they play TDM in every mode and get first place while the second place is like 500+ score below them. Today i played with Vulcan Bot in my team. Industrial Zone SGE map. Vulcan bot used paladin hull. he didn't cap a single point. he did THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE! he would stay near the point then when its-halfway captured his attention span could not hold it anymore and he would just leave the point going from 50% to 0% captured. Guess what happened by the end of the battle? He got 54/3 k/d 1,4k SCORE. If you think im overreacting you just don't play matchmaking.

It's not like Magnetron Twins was considered one of the top Augments in the game before Pulsar was introduced... 

I see nothing wrong with this turret. It sounds weird to say, but you kinda have to know what you are doing while playing it, just spamming spacebar won't do you any good. 

 

Ricochet tho is plain unusable without Helios.

I was using EMP rico before helios and getting 1st place easy... Now no way in hell im using non-helios rico because of how Helios powercrept every rico augment. Rico and twins are ruined thanks to Pulsar and Helios... EMP rico was so fun to use too...

That sounds like a skill issue, Helios has a poor sustained damage output comparatively, berserk is more proactive and plasmatorch isnt bad either. You've simply become too accustomed to a '7 projectile burst' to clearly be able to kill people.

You're mostly right. Something like Sizzling Field or Super Smart Minus Field is hard to use because it requires you to luck out with critical hits or set up bounce shots for status effects that can be removed by Repair Kit. Something like Magnetron is a bit better since it actually leaves enemies vulnerable, but Tectonic Field is the status Ricochet that sticks out the most in my opinion. Depending on the map, it's the most potent and also easiest stun-lock augment.
