Patch Update #720 - Released 31st March 2023

 

  • Battle duration decreased from 15 to 13 minutes

  • A new augment for Isida has been added to Ultra Containers — «Jamming nanobots»

    • (Note) Critical damage applies the «Jammer» status effect to an opponent.

  • Changes to the star earning system

    • Daily mission reward — 3 stars

    • Weekly mission — 9 stars

    • Weekend supermission — 15 stars

    • (Note) After this update, rewards for missions that you have already completed but haven’t claimed rewards for will be decreased. Take this into account and decide which Challenge you want to use these stars for.

  • New Challenges require 300 stars to be completed

    • (Note) This applies only to new Challenges, starting from the first April challenge. The second March Challenge will still require 3000 stars to be completed.

  • Changed packs of stars in the Shop

    • 5 stars for 300 tankoins

    • 50 stars for 2750 tankoins

    • 150 stars for 7500 tankoins

    • Momentary progress special offer now gives you 75 stars

  • Magnum

    • «Armor-piercing core» augment

      • Critical shots apply the «Armor-piercing» status effect for 9 seconds 

  • Railgun

    • «Incendiary rounds» augment

      • The «Burning» status effect’s duration decreased from 5 to 4 s

    • «Cryo rounds» augment

      • Regular damage applies the «Freezing» status effect for 4 seconds 

  • Hulls

    • Speed of light hulls increased from 9-12 to 10-12 m/s

    • Speed of medium hulls increased from 7-9 to 7.5-9 m/s (UPD: March 30th, 13:33 UTC)

  • Crusader

    • Turning speed increased from 65-90 to 80-120 deg/s

  • Pulsar augments

    • No longer applies the «Burning» status effect

  • Drones

    • Defender

      • The number of additional units of the «Boosted Armor» supply consumed increased from 2 to 4 

      • No longer consumes batteries

    • Booster

      • The number of additional units of the «Boosted Damage» supply consumed increased from 2 to 4 

      • No longer consumes batteries

    • Trickster

      • Speed Boost Bonus decreased from 20-40% to 10-40%

      • The number of additional units of the «Speed boost» supply consumed increased from 2 to 4

      • No longer consumes batteries

    • Saboteur

      • The number of additional Mines decreased from 3-7 to 3-5

      • Circle radius decreased from 4-6 to 3.8-4.4

      • The number of additional units of the «Mine» supply consumed decreased from 7 → 4 

      • No longer consumes batteries

    • Hyperion

      • The number of additional units of supply consumed increased from 1 to 2 

      • No longer consumes batteries

    • Crisis

      • No longer consumes batteries

    • Hyperion ХТ

      • The number of additional units of supply consumed changed to 9 

      • No longer consumes batteries

    • Crisis ХТ

      • The number of additional units of supply consumed changed to 9 

      • No longer consumes batteries

    • (Note) Mechanic drone still consumes batteries

  • Battle action points

    • CTF mode

      • The number of battle points for assistance in capturing a flag increased from 25 to 40

      • The number of battle points returning a flag increased from 10 to 15

    • RGB mode

      • The number of battle points for assistance in touchdown increased from 25 to  40

    • ASL mode

      • The number of battle points for destroying an enemy increased from 15 to 20

      • The number of battle points for capturing a flag increased from 50 to 80

      • The number of battle points returning a flag decreased from 10 to 0

      • The number of battle points for assistance in capturing a flag decreased from 25 to 0

    • TJR and JGR mode

      • The number of battle points for assistance destroying a Juggernaut increased from 20 to 40

  • Old weekly containers

    • Batteries removed from all old weekly containers

    • (Note) if you read the patch notes before March 31st, hurry up and open them all to get batteries that will be later converted to supplies.

I literally said and knew devs would increase supply consumption in exchange of battery remove, was that change really necessary dear devs? playing dirty as always!

Yes another buff for flying monkeys. as if secret features that most are not aware of is not enough. Might as well make it so all of these hulls have 50k HP

So all supply boost garage drones now consume 5 supply of their type per activation... Great...

I do not want to hear "batteries removed so now its balanced" non-sense.

Ah yes simplification. One random drone consumes batteries for absolutely no reason while anothers do not. Simplification!!!

remember now youll need to BUY batteries to use mechanic. There is no way of getting them for free.

EDIT: Hey real life Mr. Krabs! Where is "Compensation for removed drones" part???

Strange, could have been 3, 4 is a lot of considering how much I play with those drones and the remaining battery-to-supply conversion won't help much for a longer time.

It's fair though for hyperion.

Good news: Drugs are no longer trash loot

Bad news: You actually need to start buying drugs now

I was hoping Crisis getting the drug consumption reduced since it's consumption rate is absurd, but I guess the Devs differs and decided to "balance" it out the other way around.

That's their plan. People who own these two drones are supposed to be their VIP customers who are willing to put loads of cash into this game. I can't see a reason why milking them even more will cause any harm to the company.

 

As for normal players, I can already imagine what will happen a few months later when they start struggling to have their drugs active all the time.

I've been using crisis pretty much exclusively for the past few months since I maxed it. I don't do anything more than supermissions when they're on, and my supplies are still going up. It'll only be a problem for people who spend wayyyyy too much time playing this dead game

I pretty much only use Criss like booster , camp with shaft to 1 shot anyone on the map, continously, no reload time, fast emp + jam recovery,

if you dont attack with criss, your suppliy usage is just like other drones,

but when attacking, I use trickster drone, it cost more nitro supplies as I die more often,

my 3rd used drone is blaster drone, best as for defense or camp point, also blaster drone is more cost effective on kill/supplies, and it reload your attacking supply faster.

Instead of making the containers better, they artificially appreciated the value of drugs.

Players will be so happy when they now receive drug packs 10 times in a row after playing for 6 hours.

i have both drones and i quickly went back to my non xp crisis and hyperion.... Nah fam..... too much

That's the only way. If you start using it as a daily driver, you will start losing money even if you get top 1 in every game and has premium

thank you tanki for destroying last months challenges for those who only needed to finish the last box's. this new daily and weekly change over should have waited till April and not changed in March when players are still finishing up the last challenges. this was only daily missions which I collected from.

some will praise you , well only seeing 3 for each mission is peanuts .

give us the March mission points so we can complete them.

for the person/s who did the art work on the duck picture I can say this was the best one I have ever seen in tanki . good job..
