also been noticing this change on my account since Tuesday not sure why but it could have been released sooner then expected.

no my brother its not cause of any lag they nerfed the crystals drones to promote their $$$ drone where u have to spent money to use crisis

Oh, the one thing I missed, you can no longer do the "double supply on spawn" with booster, defender or trickster. So little, but quite inconvenient

Sike, I'm wrong. It still works, but you need to use the drone's supply first. So with trickster it's speed first, then armor. Now this is slightly inconvenient.

I guess it only works for trickster. Defender and booster don't have that.

That was always an option ever since its rework in 2021. It seemed to be a leftover effect from before the rework. I assumed they'd fix it with this update but it appears it's not possible for them to fix it at all? ?

 

That was something I liked looking at whenever I was fighting with or against Tricksters. To see if they started with speed boost or if they started with BA or BD.

The UI update is terrible, it doesnt let you visually know which augments you already own and which ones are yet to be unlocked, unless you click on the icon. Terrible UI design. Tanki devs be like big icons = good because big means accessibility. No it doesnt. It makes harder for the user to navigate through the menus.

I like that you now can see all the arguments you do own yet... but I agree that the arguments that you do not own should be marked somehow in the icon.

This should be easy to fix:

  • For arguments that you do not own, but can by bought with crystals or tank coins, this is already marked with the cost to buy in the icon.
  • Likewise the arguments you do not own, and that can not be bought with with crystals or tank coins (but can be obtained from for example containers), should be marked with a lock in the icon.
  • Alternatively the icon can be greyed out similar to paints that can not be bought.

Unfortunately it does NOT seem that you can do the double supply on spawn, as a cooldown is presented after usage of any supply, regardless of whether it's the drone's specialty or not. Personally, my defender initiates a 5 sec cooldown for any supply even when I used "boosted" armour.

Repair kit needs to be buffed, and not further nerfed for already incredibly overcampy game like Tanki is, it should heal the player rather quickly and without the linitations of taking damage midway, give offensive attackers something to play with finally!

this is the only change I don't like, this wasn't a neccessary change tbh, but other than that, the patch notes doesn't look bad ?

I love how literally 90% of people here hate this update, yet tanki refuses to care XDD
Cant remember the last time tanki actually cared about the players' opinion....

If Iam right its defender

today same issues , so after i turn on the 2 shields and another supply . over time it ends and then you can only turn on 1 supply and have to wait for the 2 one to open. which is normal . but now its when you enter a battle for the second time the supply;s wont activate shields right away - but instead it takes a good 2 minutes before it turns on even with a full health . sometimes if you click on the health box it then activates the shield defender drone. its really messed up for me.

the other day I forgot about the music at the start of a battle not turning on for a good 2 minutes even in good FPS or Ping.

Ok, I see what's happening here.

Defender, Booster, and Trickster no longer reduce their supply's cooldown when you activate another supply. In the past, for example, activating Boosted Damage would impose a 5 second cooldown on boosted armor which would instantly be reduced by Defender because you activated a non-Boosted Armor supply.

Now that that feature is removed, those 3 only inherently reduce their respective supply's cooldown from 15 to 0 seconds, but don't reduce cooldowns when you activate other supplies.

Thus, Boosted Damage or Speed will impose a 5 second cooldown on Defender (and the same goes for the other drones).

That would explain it , and why I'm playing like garbage this weekend.

I don't like this new update... if your removing drones then just do it and get it over with. leave the system the way it was .. with this new changes it makes the battles a waste of time to complete.

Since the Lifeguard augments were leaked in garages, we can see that they only work once per life.

Compared to the drone, which worked every 13(?) seconds... the augment might be weaker.

The difference is that an augment can be paired with the other drones. Say, how killable do you reckon will an active Paladin with Lifeguard and Defender be? Or better yet, two of them attacking together, perhaps with the ability to freeze you and thus disable your damage boosters as well?

I don't know what the intention behind these changes are. It's nice that Brutus is closer to some of the drones now but they feel awkward. 

Defender appears to still be ok. It's nice to start with boosted armour because you're getting a large boost in it.

 

Booster feels uncomfortable as you have to be vulnerable with 25 units and you lost what made it different to Crisis, that is being able to have both Boosted Armour and Damage active after spawn. 

 

Trickster for some reason still has that leftover effect of not putting Boosted Armour or Damage on cooldown when activating speed boost so is still very deadly in capture modes, and of course with Paladin. 

 

Hyperion is the only thing that feels comfortable for me and makes me question whether or not I should just use this instead of Mechanic. 

 

I'm most confused about Mechanic. It doesn't feel so bad when I take into account other drones also got weaker in certain areas, but Mechanic feels limited. 9.5 seconds to use another repair kit at max. I'm hesitant to give other allies repair kits because it heals so slowly and puts both me and potentially my allies at a disadvantage for a while. I have to be really careful when doing that. All of these drones can be countered with Jammer augments except Hyperion. 

 

Spawnkilling also seemed to rise after this. I don't know what direction this is going but this repair kit is way too long. And with all these Tricksters and Crises in capture modes, it doesn't help that I'm getting a new bug that makes my shot not deal damage against a very fast tank moving towards or away from me. Doesn't matter if its a projectile like Smoky or Thunder or hitscan like Railgun, Gauss or Shaft.

It's just clear to me that every single "adjustment" they implement in such apparently unnoticeable ways are just a subliminal way to force us to use the drones that consume more supplies upon activation (if we want to make any impact in our matches, which is to say having fun) because supplies act like a slot machine for players, especially those who do not consistently pay for anything and thus become the prime target for Hazel & Co. of every update they release concerning such aspects of the game. Maybe the decrease in healing per tick is not so directly connected to this, but in time the victims of these changes are always the same: people who do not run protection against certain turrets, who do not run armadillo, and/or who do not use Defender/Crisis to even be able to take hits. Aka f2p players or those of us who are inconsistent in paying for anything (only payed once in my case).

I hate to see how, one by one, those things that were a GIVEN in past versions of the game become monetized in some way or another to a point where skill and experience have no room in this game anymore. Namely supplies and fixed damage (without stupid critical hits) or at least ranging from X to Y.  I'm not against paying for in-game stuff, I honestly think we all should pay every now and then for whatever we want so that somehow we acknowledge this is a product that we want to keep using and enjoying, but taking away basic, universal stuff or making it harder and harder to obtain without resorting to a(n) (significant) expense of money? C'mon.

Why not just make certain augments and your beloved skins harder to obtain if you want, which is okay and something to work towards or outright think about paying for, but leave supplies, both upgrades AND micro-upgrades, and basic augments (mostly for turrets) alone and accessible to everyone? Is it not obvious that players need to have a competitive tank to play with and be of any impact/use from mid to towards endgame? I can't stand having teammates with 4-5-6-7k GS in my team and not only watch them not being able to withstand most attacks from more powerful players, but also watch them have no clue of what they're doing nor what mode they are playing in, which basically leads to an early loss, probably a rage quit from me before that happens, and definitely 0 fun and little to no will whatsoever to keep playing. I will not waste those precious supplies in games where the disparity is so obvious and hindering that it makes me care no more about winning.

Muahahahahaha! I have fun killing floating Hack with combos that give maximum damage output as fast as possible. 40-60 kills every match with 0-5 deaths. and 80-120 kills if i get JGR. I do not care if my team loses too cuz i get more crystals than 1st place winning team member because of how far im above everyone in terms of score

I also don't care about Crystals i care only about XP
