Patch Update #752 - Released 16th February 2024

 

  • Added a new Vulcan augment to Epic Containers — «Magnetic Band».

    • (Note) Critical damage applies the «EMP» status effect to the enemy tank.

  • Changed the way you get stars for battles

    • Now the maximum number of stars you can get per battle depends on battle duration.

      • (Note) A battle should last at least 11 minutes for the TOP-1 player to get 3 stars. If a battle lasts less than 3 minutes, players don’t receive stars at all.

    • For battles that are longer than 13 minutes, i.e. special mode battles, the maximum number of stars is not limited to 3.

      • (Note) For a battle that lasts 30 minutes, the TOP-1 player may get 8 stars.

  • Entering a matchmaking battle with the «Quick battle» button gives you an extra star.

    • (Note) Thus you may get a total of 4 stars per battle, or 8 if you have Premium Pass.

  • Added a number showing your chance to get the item in the list of container rewards.

    • (Note) Chances are different for each player because they depend on how many of other items available from this container you already have.

  • Fixed the bug that crashed the game client when you click the Missions tab once a battle finishes.

  • Fixed the bug that crashed the game client when you redeem certain promocodes.

  • Fixed the bug that caused your tank’s camera to stay at the place your tank was destroyed and your tank not respawning.

  • Fixed how the shot geometry works when you use Shaft’s sniping mode.

    • (Note) The geometry has become rougher, but it saves memory significantly.

  • Changed mission rewards

    • For Daily Supermission — 3 tankoins

    • For Daily Encore mission — 1 star

    • Player doesn’t receive rewards for completing Weekly missions anymore

    • For Weekly Supermission — 3 tankoins (instead of 24)

    • For Weekly Encore supermission — 1 Rare Key (instead of 1 Epic Key)

    • For Weekly Encore missions — 1 Common Key

  • The following augments were added to the «Legendary» category of Epic Containers.

    • Blaster for Wasp

    • Blaster for Hornet

    • Blaster for Hopper

    • Lifeguard for Viking

    • Lifeguard for Crusader

    • Lifeguard for Hunter

    • Lifeguard for Paladin

    • Lifeguard for Dictator

    • Miner for Ares

    • Miner for Titan

    • Miner for Mammoth

  • Increased parameters of all hulls and turrets in modifications from Mk2 to Mk7:

    • The difference between the Mk7 and the MkMAX modifications has been halved

    • The changes affected the way Gear Score is counted. Now Mk7 modification gives you 2300 points instead of 2100

    • (Note) This change should reduce the «difficulty» of the game for owners of Mk7 modifications, who have not yet had time to upgrade them, but have already faced Legends in battles

  • Isida

    • «Phoenix» augment

      • Range is decreased from 45 to 40 m.

      • Recovery rate is decreased from 25% to 20%

      • Critical hit chance increase is +30%

      • Energy consumption when healing is now the same as for the regular Isida

  • Twins

    • Radius of max explosion damage is increased from 1 to 3 m.

    • Radius of medium explosion damage is increased from 2 to 6 m.

    • Radius of min. explosion damage is increased from 6 to 9 m.

    • Radius of critical explosion damage is decreased from 6 to 3 m.

  • Vulcan

    • Critical damage is increased from 100-200 to 150-300 HP

    • Critical hit chance is decreased from 2% to 1,4%

    • Damage boost when Viking’s overdrive is activated is increased from +400% to +600%

  • Thunder

    • Projectile speed is increased from 300-350 to 250-350 m/s

    • Radius of max explosion damage is increased from 2 to 3 m.

    • Radius of medium explosion damage is increased from 4 to 6 m.

    • Radius of critical explosion damage is increased from 2 to 3 m.

  • Magnum

    • Radius of max explosion damage is increased from 2 to 3 m.

    • Radius of medium explosion damage is increased from 4 to 6 m.

    • Radius of critical explosion damage is increased from 5 to 9 m.

  • Gauss

    • Reload duration is decreased from 2.25-1.5 to 1.95-1.3 s.

    • Range of max damage is decreased from 90-120 to 60-90 m.

    • Range of min damage is decreased from 150-180 to 90-120 m.

    • Radius of medium explosion damage is increased from 6 to 7 m.

  • Terminator

    • Regular damage is decreased from 450-1800 to 325-1300 HP

    • Radius of max explosion damage is decreased from 5 to 3 m.

    • Radius of min. explosion damage is increased 10 to 12 m.

  • Overdrive

    • Wasp Overdrive charge over time changed from 180 to 270 s.

    • Hopper Overdrive charge over time changed from 150 to 240 s.

    • Hornet Overdrive charge over time changed from 210 to 300 s.

    • Crusader Overdrive charge over time changed from 150 to 240 s.

    • Hunter Overdrive charge over time changed from 180 to 270 s.

    • Paladin Overdrive charge over time changed from 330 to 360 s.

    • Dictator Overdrive charge over time changed from 300 to 330 s.

    • Titan Overdrive charge over time changed from 270 to 330 s.

    • Ares Overdrive charge over time changed from 240 to 300 s.

    • Mammoth Overdrive charge over time changed from 180 to 270 s.

  • Changed the maximum number of players for the following maps in matchmaking:

    • Aleksandrovsk from 20 to 18

    • Barda from 20 to 18

    • Bobruisk from 16 to 14

    • Bridges from 16 to 14

    • Chernobyl from 20 to 18

    • Chernushka from 16 to 14

    • Cologne from 20 to 16

    • Future from 20 to 18

    • Industrial Zone from 20 to 18

    • Lost Temple from 28 to 30

    • Magistral from 24 to 22

    • Molotov from 16 to 14

    • Parma from 20 to 18

    • Polygon from 16 to 14

    • Rio from 20 to 18

    • Serpuhov from 20 to 18

    • Stadium from 20 to 24

    • Tribute from 16 to 14

    • Yorkshire from 24 to 28

  • Paints with country flags were removed from the game.

  • Paints with mono colors were moved to Common rarity and are available for purchase with crystals.

  • Paints with camouflage were moved to Uncommon rarity.

  • Data traffic from the server to the client of the player has been optimized.

  • Added experimental support for the game on Safari browser

    • (Note) The HTML-5 version of the game can now be launched from an iPhone via a direct link.

Hmm, this makes me wonder whether its even worth the time to open the missions tab and claim these anymore.

Note that, u get 3 tk a day for the basic dailies supermission, so 7 days, thats 21, that comes back to 24 in total with the weekly mission, effectively you are less forced to play certain modes to get tk now with a smaller loss.

actual comedy

well, I mostly completed the missions for the epic key and stars, both of which have been reduced quite a bit (if I understand the update correctly).
But yeah, I guess for tankoins it is a bit more convenient

Also, time to see all the star speedrunners cope too, guess challenge accepted will become a bit more p2w now. Just ever so slightly.

Yeah, the key nerf itself, I'll have to double check, not nice to see a reduction in items gained.

Chernuska ASL is a throw of a dice, where if the defenders team is somewhat decent or has a miner it's an impossible task to deliver flags.
Now that miner augments will become more common (and mammoth overdrive slower to load), it will become even worse.

I am star speedrunner. Though I speedrun the Passes. Now I just won't buy them. Heard me @Opex-Rah? I won't be buying them now!! nobody is going to buy Premium trust me this will result in more players just not playing at all.

this map taught me to leave the battle so fast i get soft-locked. this map needs to be removed from existence

This sounds terrible, but it's so good. Now you can gain tankoins just by completing daily missions, while until now a casual player could never finish all weekly missions.
The total amount of tankoins is unchanged, and I don't think the container count was changed either? I'm not counting encore missions, they don't exist to me.
Weekly missions are a joke now tho.

So new meta is clicking quick battle, finding a 80% finished battle, getting top3, taking 8 stars and repeat.

The pheonix nerf is hardly much, why r people even complaining about that ?
I guess yall would prefer that they had changed it and not announced it, because they sure could have with ease and since hardly anyone owns it, by all means, the initial stats they had could have been wrong and unintended for reasoning purposes.

We all know that augments and game items may be subject to change regardless of what they are, and the pheonix augments are no exception to this. It ain't a big deal for what it was, it is still more than busted. And well, at least he has more of an incentive to grind other pheonix augments. ?️

 

Most of this patch is about getting people to play and commit to games, whilst not speedrunning, but I can see people potentially stalling games now.

Would it be bannable for a player to hold the 7th flag to gain stars from the early set of minutes? Technically is sabotage but people will want stars. Especially for this short 3 week elite pass and adjusted starset.

The problem is that Phoenix augments are suppose to be the Cream of the Crop. Hazel literally said that you're supposed to see the Phoenix Icon in the Leaderboard and go "What the hell is that? This madman actually did it!" Ignoring the fact that average player would have to play for 13 > YEARS < without changing a combo it takes around 130+ legends worth of grinding. After doing that I'd expect to have something OP that I know won't get changed since it's supposed to be beyond endgame tier. 
People called trophies a scam and waste of time after seeing 5 million score. imagine spending literal months of playing without a single break getting an item just to be constantly thinking that it might just become completely useless because some guy with a ponytail decided to do something stupid. All of this is the last thing that would make a person be interested in grinding another phoenix.

as for removing country paints i'd like a compensation since I BOUGHT them for tankoins to remove filler from my conts. Pretty sure removing Pay to Play lootbox items for nothing in return is illegal. or let me guess they added a funny line in ToS that allows them to do it legally? pretty scummy either way.
