You say that dps outstrips melee turrets, it doesn't, and assault magazines don't always deal full damage in melee range due to the reduced number of bullets, don't you take that into account, and while directly exposed to the range of melee turrets, how do you explain that assault magazines don't win melee battles in most cases, Without considering the Hull argument, in today's legendary battles, many players don't even turn the turret, why would I think you're only playing against low levels, because in the real 9999 battle, Assault Magazine is already rotten, and the first place gets 1000 points using broken enhancements like Tandem, Twin's turbo launcher, Assault magazine only has 500 points. What does the ranking say? And my point isn't to make a point about assault magazines, but hammer isn't as good as it used to be, doesn't do enough damage, and is almost unusable in top combat

I played with you & against you in many MM battles. I completely agree with you regarding Assault Magazine augment. The moment I saw this update, in my first comment, I said this nerf absolutely pathetic. 

@Tekken8 may not have complete knowledge abt this augment or his style of play is not solo frontline attack like you. Those who play defensive or back-up for solo attacking teammates will not mind with this stupid nerf. I  play like you & I understand & fully support your point of view abt this present hammer turret.

Can you also investigate the gauss aiming problem 

When i use it i always aim twice

When i aim and the circle reaches half, it resets then shoot

It happenes literally every time i aim

Pretty useless without specific drones, try using miner in BONK mode, better off with lfg/blaster.

To me the worst Hammer nerfs were done before for all the other Augments like "Dragon's Breath" that used the Status Effects at each 3rd shot instead at only each Critical Shot as it is right now!

AM is still one of the most fun offensive alts you can have. Hammer in itself rn is fantastic and I'd argue it's in the best position it has been since long.
I've been maining Hammer/viking since 2019 or 18 so I know how it was before.

I actually came in here looking for a comment like this. I have been having the same issue for months now and it is getting super annoying lately. Almost every time now that I go into sniping mode for gauss, the aiming system does a double aim where you get to an almost full shot, then suddenly it resets and your aiming time starts all over again. Can someone higher up please investigate this issue? It is almost as if Gauss is purposely getting nerfed with this bug because it seems that no one has tried to patch it.

@RomanticallyI mainly point out that hammer's performance is not satisfactory recently, and assault magazine has experienced so many nerf, it may still be interesting, but not powerful, hammer itself is very good, but after several turret adjustments, hammer's ranking in the turret combined with the strength of argument. Now it should be ranked in the middle and lower reaches, the intensity is not enough, and the performance is poor in the battle where everyone is 9999gs

I don't know what you play but I'd say Hammer right now is in one of the best eras it has had, I don't know your playstyle and your experience but it's my own experience and many people agree with me, but I understand you may have different experience and opinion.

Only nerf I want to see.......  Banning of the flaying hacks/hulls..... Hoppers should be subject to same self destruct as other hulls, when out of bounds... Not being able to sit on top of buildings out of reach of fire from other players.

Infact- just go back to keyboard players, and level the playing field, as the PC player, is so much at a disadvantage now.

The new sound for the rail magic shot effect sounds awful, it's such a pity they decided to change this as it sounded perfect the way it was. The visual shot effect update for rail now looks so awesome.

Smoky has been really hit hard by this patch. All my Smoky augments have been affected for worse. No patch for the actual OP augments.

to make flying monkey balanced you need to first take of it's obviously unfair advantages that apply to all of these ape types. 

1. Sliding or 'strafe'. 

its the biggest advantage of the monkey due to it's position when strafing these disgusting ""tanks"" are factually and you literally cannot disagree here no matter how much you 'magnum ride' (IYKYK) these things, are at least 2 times harder to hit compared to an actual Tank in the same position. Good luck hitting these rust buckets on a big map and may the lord be with you if you're playing on a laptop or a small display and it's the ho***r you're trying to hit. They already ALMOST fixed it by killing their acceleration and making it slow as hell which makes them actually being possible to hit even ignoring the position of them already giving you a disadvantage. But they secretly reverted this change for some unknown to lord reason. 

2. It's no clipping everything. 

now i'd say this is a server issue but the amount of times you no clip through someone using a Tank compared to using a monkey is just WAY TOO HIGH for it to be just a funny coincidence. You know there is 0 reason for the "dead corpse staying in battles for an hour" update if flying rust buckets can just easily no clip through it like nothing happened. In the new test server at least from the ~10 battles I played the monkey is not no clipping through everything anymore. Like I said earlier i'd blame it on their servers but if you no clip through a dead tank using a Tank 1/10 times but then you no clip through dead tank like 8/10 times using the monkey

 

after these nerfs it should be on par with actual Tanks. if not then nerf the next most overpowered "feature" that it has.

Just to remind you, the self destruct zones are the same for everyone, it's just obviously far more easier for a hopper to hop to those spots, not sure how many actively try this often, I have hardly seen many of these over the past year since the nerfs.

I think you mean to say 'Increase self destruct spots on maps on rooftops etc' instead.

I assure you, nothing has actually been any helpful anywhere near to what it was upon the year of release. It is still subpar to play with unless you face a bunch of avg players who can't hit a tank right there that is pretty much 1 shot unless they are frontloaded with defensive attributes and a lifeguard and/or healer. It takes just a little projectile and it's possible to flip in air with ease, even a touching of any structure or tank. You must have surely seen a few gifs of me flipping over in the most ridiculous manner over general touch and go interactions and barely managing to land half the times, it's clearly evident of the terrible instability and impact reaction of it.

On the other side, the hitreg in this game is often so bad that basic things that should hit, do not, seen it happen on both sides of the interactions, that stuff isn't exclusive to the flying monkey itself, it's just the game being it's good old self, like our fav and not limited to striker missile visuals hitting elsewhere but damaging etc.

Like tokken8, I met him yesterday, he is using freeze, he also said hammer is the best time, why the best time, he doesn't play hammer, a turret after several nerf is the best time, are you being sarcastic? Powerful hammer, but few people use it. I am often the only one using hammer in a match. Why do you think many people agree with you?

For me hammer was my best turret, till they nerfed the Sh*t out of it's impact force..

Now it's like hitting them with freeze or firebird, instead of a true shutgun..

For something to be good you don't need to play it everyday, I usually play Hypersped Rail because I don't feel like playing much besides daily missions, but when I play out of enjoyment I'm happy to take Hammer viking, I could take healing shaft and play SGE and get 1k score per match but I don't. You know why? I just don't wanna, just because something is strong doesn't mean you have to play it 24/7 and nothing else, recently i took LCP hammer on my alt and it's performing more than wonderfully, even before TC event i used slugger (regular one) and still had good time playing effectively. Recently I got into a match where 6 people had Isida prot since beginning, does it mean Isida is OP?

I have assault magazine on my alternate account and I play hammer mainly there. Just because I tend to change turrets and hulls  to make my game more interesting does not mean that Hammer is weak and  have to play with  Hammer 24/7  just because I said that it is at best I ever experienced it since I came back in 2023.

Assault magazine was broken when it came into game nerf does not mean its bad now its just more balanced.  You think spear is now after "nerf" balanced and not OP ? You think shaft healing emitter now after 15 % overall dmg nerf is not  OP ( its still best healing augment) 

Same goes for assault magazine, just because its not broken anymore does not mean its bad.  Maybe you should try play  also with other augments not just hunter duplet. I usually dont have problem to perfrom very well with other hammer augments.
