Release on Nintendo Switch™

This is a great strategy to increase awareness of the game (though if the Nintendo eShop is like the Google Play Store, then maybe not). Anyway seems like Tanki doesn't plan on dying anytime soon. Might get my brother to try it on his Switch.

just because its playable on more devices doesn't mean it's not 'dying' any time soon.

there is a difference between  having a bigger reach and actually being playable.

wink wink nudge nudge players like their games to be fun and playable over them being 'everywhere'. tanki can be playable on my grandma's 50 year old TV for all I care but if the game is still unbalanced unplayable repetitive trash i really have no interest in staying and so are 99,9% of other people. with the current path it's taking tanki is planning to die.

my friends that never played the game saw my gameplay (they know im on juiced whale account) and them seeing me with some OP combo still getting oneshotted by what they thought were hackers (a hopper user or nemesis user.) really killed their interest instantly.

to be honest if that ever happens, i would play tanki non-stop 24/7 irrespective of how bad and clumsy the gameplay gets. the only drawback is that my grandma would resent me for not being able to watch her favorite chef gordon ramsay swear at noobs in hell's kitchen.

I'm pretty sure porting the game over to Switch is an investment Tanki did just for kicks. They're definitely have a long term plan for it. If the devs plan on shutting the game down soon, they'd just have kept quiet and milked the playerbase until it runs dry. Ofc that doesn't mean nothing unexpected can happen and force the game to end, but that would be another issue entirely. That's what I mean when I said the game won't be dying soon.

Unbalance complaints have become a norm since the release of ODs, drones, and augments. That was what, 5-6 years ago? The game is still releasing updates consistently, and not just for the Shop.

If you're using Tanki X as a comparison, Tanki Classic would be a more apt subject to compare to. TO was always the main project. TX and TC are both side projects. TC will either never get completed (like Tanki 2.0, yet another side project) or it will die soon after release (though I hope neither of these will prove to be true). Note that both T2.0 and TX were supposed to be better than TO, but both were scrapped in favor of the latter.

Mind you, I do not like a lot of the things Alternativa is doing in Tanki. I barely play the game itself and instead only do parkouring nowadays. But as you all are well aware of, my preferences and yours hardly influence the developer's plans for the future of the game.

Not looking forward to this at all !!!!!!..... Game is bad enough with all the flying tanks, banging into you etc.  """  Give us our Polygons back"

Please can you make it so players are segregated from others, ie Keyboard against keyboard etc.  Every update is in favour of the flying hacks, and the keyboard player is left behind with an unfair advantage geared to them non keyboard players.

TX was not a side project.

They had every intention to switch it so it became the main TO.

The main drawbacks for me with TX was that you could not crossover with your main account from TO (meaning you had to start all over again with a new account, not happening) and the pricing system, which was just following along the lines of TO, utter greed.

This entire concept is based on greed and conditioning players across all platforms to waste their cash on a game that has a history of nerf/buff, which renders your cash spent null and void, basically wasted.

When they have "fixed" the non stop issues of bugs/glitches in the game, which they never seem to address, then maybe the game will become practical to invest in, augments, overdrives and trashcans not withstanding, because these three need removing permanently. Also the removal of the pathetic bots and the inept MM system.

The XP to crystal ratio and the experience needed to rank also have to be changed, especially for the lower ranks.

There are so many problematic issues with TO that introducing yet another way to play it is just to fatten their coffers.  TO's mantra, the inherent problems be damned, as long as we make cash from the gullible and conditioned players.

Was it before or after they found out that Unity no longer supports browsers and there is no way they can make browser players switch to a client-based version of the game?

I asking because you seem to know more about the developer's intentions than I do.

If that was the case then I'd say yes to the former in your post. The first three words to be precise.

You no full well that you wanted TX to  replace TO, that it didn't pan out the way you wanted does not change that fact, or the fact that you were slowly making changes to it in the negative as far as players go.

I remember all this because I asked the question about transferring accounts from TO to TX, the answer was no from the very beginning.

As for your (Alternativa ) intentions, just the usual, cash and lots of it.

I will tell you what really bugs me about TO.

Not addressing problems that affect the game/players on a constant daily basis. You would rather (so it appears) concentrate on new mechanics for "WHATEVER" than fix the bugs, like not changing equipment first time of asking, self destructing in most battles for no apparent reason, dealing no damage, overdrives interfering with how the tank moves (this happens a lot) refreshing because of doing no damage and being kicked from the battle.

It seems that all valid complaints about the game just get ignored- example-The problems changing equipment first time of asking in the garage has been ongoing for a very, very long time with many complaints, and yet it's still happening. Gauss dealing no damage on a regular basis has also been ongoing for a long time, why have both, along with countless other problems not been fixed.

Try concentrating on the problems that are blighting the game instead of adding potentially more to it.

On a side note.

Try not to be to flippant in your post, your meant to be an adult and THE lead dev. Give me and thousands of players the answers we are asking for, rather than trying to get a few laughs at my expense, it really doesn't become you.

Fix the game Hazel.

Honestly, I never would have expected Tanki to be available on Nintendo

Really.

Anything that has a screen and buttons to press will eventually be infested with TO and all the problems that come with it.
