Patch Update #794 - Released 28th March 2025

 

List of changes:

  • Implemented shading and lighting of decals (traces of explosions).

    • (Note) Currently, only shadowmap is supported; lightmap will be supported in remastered maps in the future.

  • A white flash effect was returned to the 3D model of the mine when it is placed, as it was in the Flash client.

  • Experience points for actions in battle were reduced by 25% (40 XP → 30 XP, 20xp → 15 XP).

    • We announced this change in the previous episodes of the V-LOG when we mentioned that the experience gain rate was increased fourfold in 2020. After this change, the experience gain rate will decrease from x4 to x3 compared to 2020. The funds earned in battle will remain at the x2 level of 2020. After analyzing the results of this change, we will decide whether it’s necessary to reduce the experience gain rate from x3 to x2.

  • The Gold Boxes now give experience points

    • Standard Gold Box — +1000 experience points

    • Container Box — +1000 experience points

    • Megagold with Crystals — +5000 experience points

    • Megagold with Rubies — +1000 experience points

    • Custom Gold Box — +0 experience points

    • Tank explosion in the April Fools' Gold Box — +0 experience points

  • Standard daily and weekly missions now include +100 experience points as a reward for completing each mission.

  • The number of Rubies for completing the daily supermission was reduced from 3 to 2.

  • The number of Rubies for completing the weekly supermission was increased from 5 to 12.

  • The mechanics of the Adrenaline augments were changed. Now, these augments only provide additional damage if the tank's health drops below a certain threshold. The damage no longer increases linearly as the tank's health decreases.

    • Melee turrets (Firebird, Freeze, Isida, Tesla, Hammer)

      • additional damage of 25%

      • bonus activation occurs when health drops to 35%.

    • Medium-range turrets (Twins, Ricochet, Vulcan, Smoky, Striker, Thunder) 

      • additional damage of 25%

      • bonus activation occurs when health drops to 25%.

    • Long-range turrets (Scorpion, Magnum, Railgun, Gauss, Shaft)

      • additional damage of 25%

      • bonus activation occurs when health drops to 20%.

  • The requirement of the «Complete daily missions» weekly mission was changed from 35 to 15.

  • The requirement of the «Earn reputation points in battle» weekly mission was  changed from 3000 to 4000.

  • The requirement of the «Earn crystals in battle» weekly mission was changed from 2000 to 7000.

  • The requirement of the «Earn experience in battle» weekly mission was changed from 4000 to 5000.

  • The «Supplies Pack» special offer now costs 500 Rubies instead of 500 Tankoins.

  • Added the «Starter Key Bundle» special offer which includes 45 Common Keys with a 90% discount.

  • Added the «Legendary Key Bundle» special offer which includes 5 Legendary Keys with a 90% discount.

  • The «Bomb» grenade (all modifications) was added to Early Access kits

  • The «Mortar» grenade (Mk1 modification) was added to Early Access kits

List of fixes:

  • Fixed a bug in the Unity client for Nintendo Switch where it was sometimes impossible to get past the data processing agreement screen.

  • Now, when shadows are turned on, the strength of the main directional light in the scene does not decrease; the picture does not become darker.

  • Removed unnecessary tank reassembly in an invisible lobby while changing equipment in battle.

  • Disabled the shadows of the tracks of hulls in the Garage.

  • The system for caching bonus boxes in battle has been improved.

  • Fixed a bug that caused shop offers in the Showcase category in the Shop not to be issued after ranking up.

Do the April Fools supergolds count as custom gold boxes, or just the dropped gold boxes? This part is unclear for me.

Will we get the Unity client on PC too eventually? I remember that client being mentioned in some recent Vlog, but haven't heard much of it after.

Can we literally just nerf Freeze and its augments? at this point it has become annoying playing against shock freeze in every map almost same for critical mix

I wished you could fix the garage equipment change bug where when you die then you go immediately to garage to switch your entire combo, let's say, and then you go back to the battle, it doesn't switch so you'll have to self destruct again in order to apply the change, even sometimes it doesn't switch at all. Flash version never had this problem

Nerfing an augment won't change how the turret (Freeze) itself works. The turret should be nerfed instead, not the augments! Check this out, and lemme know how you like it:

 

Introduce new mechanics to Freezing effect

Temperature -1 (Freezing): Slows down enemies

Temperature -2 (Frostbite): Slows down enemies and removes damage boosts

Temperature limitation: -1 (stock freeze)

Shock Freeze and other augments in the future could go down to -2 temperature, but stock Freeze turret can't.

 

Though it is true the Shock freeze -5% damage is not enough disadvantage. Take away the -5% damage decrease and add Energy consumption: +50%, Reload: +100% just like Firebird compact fuel tanks has it.

pls explain... for tesla, as a f2p player, i think adrenaline now is better than any of the status effect augments... correct me if im wrong...

also, now does this effect disable itself when under freezing effect like before?

Developers: yep, that definitely needs a nerf.

EDIT: nevermind! They did this with the ONLY purpose of selling the new CAMPER augments, makes 100% sense!

(can't wait to get to TC, or maybe not)

A friend of mine uses freeze adrenaline, but the developers weakened it six times, and he no longer needs it. I feel bad for him

There are scenarios where Adrenaline is better and where status augments (namely AP, EMP and Stun) are better. It's not cut and dry like some other turrets.

Yes. It took me a long time to confirm because by the time I reach the HP threshold I'm already dead.

They hinted at certain augments gaining more reputation points for kills than others. If they're keeping Adrenaline weak like this then I won't be surprised if they incentivise you to use it by increasing the points you gain per action.

seeing how much they hate adrenaline for no reason and keep killing already dead corpse (the first nerf was whatever since adrenaline then secretly was better than like 99% of exotics on most turrets but people refused to believe it) i wouldnt be surprised if you get LESS points for using adrenaline augment lol

 

also rep points depending on augments too is incredibly stupid. not only you would be basically forced to use ??? instead of lets say your favourite Helios on rico. Being punished for trying to enjoy the game is stupid. people are already micro managed by 'balance' updates that are complete flop due to them avoiding Gacha Game powercreep yet just introducing basically a more toxic and confusing version of it. 

why would player A be skillful with Shaft and showcase extreme skill with a mid augment but be in the middle of the leaderboard because players B C D E had some newer toy had 0.50 K/D but got twice the score for virtually doing nothing? The flag/ball cap score is already stupid enough (like carrying the flag 99% the way then dying and getting like 20% of the score you would've gotten while a person who carried it 1cm gets all the score)

I hope this fixes the no-change bug where you have to wait for another respawn before changing.

Were hull physics changed? my hunter feels a lot lighter and and floatier it flies higher and further on massacre and impact from enemy turrets is more extreme. bad change

For you to receive the maximum number of stars for the quick battle queue, the battle has to have lasted more than 10 minutes (less than 3 minutes remaining on the clock). And by the way, being on the winning team doesn't decide how many stars you get anymore.

there were 4 min left for the battle to end, thats not enough anymore? damn..
