This doesn't make any sense. 290 rubies for silver contract and it has 5000 rep points. Then we have Golden Contracts for 990 rubies and it has 3000 rep points.
You would need around 28k rubies to finish the minigame with silver contracts with significant spent amount of time of playing.
Then for the Golden one you would need around 19K rubies to finish it and you would spent way less time for doing these contracts.
Keep in mind Golden one gives 50 energy and Silver gives only 10. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?

EDIT: It can move you back so it could be even more expensive.

the previous mini-games took roughly 130 steps, so it would cost 26k in golden contracts and 38k in silver contracts

I usually really enjoy these island events as a concept, the grind for completion was always challenging, yet fun at the same time for me personally at least.

However, the current pricing of the Cyber-Tank Minigame is something that I'm absolutely not fond of.

Based on previous Island events, completing the event efficiently requires roughly 25-26 Gold Contracts. At the current price of 990 Rubies per Gold Contract, this means the total cost is around 25,000-26,000 Rubies.

For comparison, Gold Contracts used to cost 290 Rubies. Yes, they required more battle points (5,000 instead of 3,000), but many players, myself included, preferred exactly that approach: play more, pay less.

The current system feels like the exact opposite:

  • Less grinding is possible.
  • But the Ruby cost has increased by more than three times.

Silver Contracts are not really an attractive alternative either. Completing the event with Silver Contracts would cost roughly 40,000 Rubies, which is even worse.

Bronze Contracts are technically free, but in practice they are unrealistic. Since they only provide enough energy for 20% of a single move, finishing the entire event with Bronze Contracts within a 3-4 week event is simply not feasible for the overwhelming majority of players.

Another issue is the reward structure.

The final rewards are a new skin and a new augment, while most of the remaining rewards have already appeared in previous events. Personally, I don't think that justifies an investment of roughly 25,000 Rubies.

One thing that worries me even more is the direction this seems to be taking.

When Island events could be completed for around 7,500-8,000 Rubies, many more players were willing and/or able to spend Rubies to finish them. The lower entry cost encouraged participation, and players who invested more time could significantly reduce the overall cost.

I actually raised this concern after the previous Office event because I was afraid future (Island) events might continue moving toward higher Ruby costs instead of rewarding active gameplay.

From conversations I've had on Discord, I know that some players do prefer spending more Rubies in exchange for less grinding, and that's perfectly valid. However, the overwhelming majority of players I've spoken with preferred the previous balance of more gameplay for lower cost.

I believe the old system struck a much healthier balance between time investment and monetization. Players had a meaningful choice:

  • Grind more and save Rubies.
  • Spend Rubies if they wanted to finish faster.

The current pricing largely removes that choice by making the "pay" option dramatically more expensive while leaving the free option practically unattainable as there is no crystal option listed either.

I hope the team will reconsider the pricing of future Island events or find a better balance between battle point requirements and Ruby costs. I think this would make these events feel much more rewarding and accessible while still supporting the game financially.

I would say something that would make you ban me for a while, but why would I spend some time writing those stuff when you already know what I (or any other player of the game) would say.

If we were to compare the last years version of "Cybertank" and this, its nowhere near similar, nor cost-wise.

You, yes, you know who you are, managed to make 3 steps in wrong direction. I dont mind it tho. Like the prizes are any good 😂🤣

Not worth it yall, have a good day.

Lets address the Elephant in the room....Contracts. What you guys did for the Candy Crush style mini game was great. You got a lot of currency for the Gold contracts and the Silver and Bronze also gave some good points. However, the next event you immediately halved the rewards per contract but kept the same price....What are we doing here guys? Either increase the rewards for each contract (like how it was in the Candy Crush event) or just bring back the old style(which I and most people disliked).

I really bought 8k rubies expecting that it'd cost that much like previous island games.

Now cosmo days one had more skins and better augments yet it costed 1/3 of this minigame,

Christmas minigame, costed 8k rubies again and had around 2 skins aswell and was a fair minigame,

halloween minigame, at first we were dissapointed to find out there's only 1 skin but the cost to rewards ratio made us overlook the lack of skins in that minigame.

Now if you're gonna make it that expensive, make it have at least all the RF skins we didn't get from cosmo days (hopper crusader, twins ricochet, tesla and railgun) that leaves you with 6 skins, if it had all these then I would consider buying the required amount.

I just hope you never do this again and Halloween minigame should have either 2 or 3 skins for 8k rubies or have all Demonic skins for 26k rubies.

You already did plenty of island minigames, can't you just compare which island minigame  was successful and make your future ones based on that?.

I'm not spending 12k rubies for crusader RF.

I like how they made a bad change in the past (creating mini-games with one new skin each time for like 10k max rubies) and somehow made it even worse with this one. It costs almost three times as much as the last "big" mini-game and gives even less rewards... This has to be a joke...

Let us address your concerns, players always complain, but there must be a balance. High demand reward of crus rf, will earn where it needs to. Or fomo and try to spend or get lucky at black friday.

These events are never catered for f2p's in general, it sucks they kicked endgame crystal hoarders this time too.

You pay a lot, or you pay less and grind a lot.

Or you pay almost nothing but grind so much.

I'm sure the game was well aware of the backlash this event will bring, but it won't affect them, what are the players gonna do, boycott? 🤣

26k rubies ?

Is that a joke ?

It's about right for the general style, the rewards are eh but you get what you sow, some good events, some bad events, this will be ranked in the latter although imo it's still valid because if the step rewards are still the same, it's roughly more balanced now and not exceedingly profitable for spenders.

Fomo time, spend and firm, or wait for black friday to suffer and get lucky maybe.

Players seem to have already forgotten about the whole set of rewards you get from the actual minigame even if the main prizes sucked.

7540 rubies (based on 26 golds) for around:

  • 200+ epic keys
  • 100+ rare keys
  • 200+ common keys
  • and the main prizes.

IF, that is a big IF, the rewards for the moving forwards remains the same. 25740 rubies for this, is still far better than a general large epic key bundle.

Minigame completions had likely increased, making dolphin spenders make a good profit for tanki bday, now the game has simply made them a bit more balanced in terms of rewarding. It sucks, but noone has to play this. I'll still skip this like every other island minigame i've skipped since shaft dc.

I will just take CP1 Paint and skip rest of it 🫠

👌That is the plan, gotta collect the special paints, unsure as to what Miami beach has to do with cybertanks though, does anyone know?

A great way to find out who's keeping Hazel in business.

Can't wait to see who gets the Railgun RF. We'll know who really committed to this event.

Small, a very small chance it'll return on black friday
