Tankers! The WAR - Stolen Christmas is in full swing and the special site is online! REMEMBER To participate in the WAR, you MUST log into the website with your Tanki account username and password. If you do not log into the WAR website, your Stars WILL NOT be counted Before you jump into the WAR, make sure you familiarize yourself with the details of the WAR on the official announcement. Now, get ready to make (or break) the festive season! War progress: You’ve been keeping yourselves busy on the battlefield, and it shows, because the situation on the War map has been changing rapidly. Turn 13: The war is nearing its finale, and things couldn't get any more heated! Elves are still in the lead, while Santas managed to climb their way back up to second place. But most importantly, for the first time in Tanki War events we have a conquered capital! Against all odds, Snowmen managed to capture Santas' Capital territory, thus gaining them a bonus 5 points. This doesn't actually mean anything for Santas and they are still very much in the game, although fighting to take back the capital would be a significant waste of resources, especially considering that Elves are a much greater threat. Either way, with the territories being spread all across the map and each faction having at least 20 adjacent enemy regions available for attack, the winner could still be anyone, and we won't know until the end. Additionally, you will receive the special «War Winner» paint, and be automatically entered into a giveaway where you could win a smartphone, skins, or tankoins! We will hold a giveaway for members of the winning faction with following prizes: Nokia 4.2 smartphone, 5 XT containers, 5 Railgun Prime skins, a bundle of 28 500 tankoins. Website For the «WAR – Stolen Christmas» event, we’ll be launching a special website with the map on which the action will happen. On this website, you will be able to choose regions to attack and defend, follow the progress of the WAR, and track your own progress in the event. For your convenience, will add a button in the game Lobby, which will take you directly to the War website (the button will only be available in the browser versions of the game). ATTENTION: It takes up to 10 minutes to update information about faction votes on the website. How to win The collective goal for each faction, is to capture and defend as many regions of the map as possible. At the end of the WAR, the faction that has collected the most points for capturing regions, wins. The «WAR» is played in a turn-based format, where each turn lasts 23 hours (from 7 UTC to 6 UTC of the next day). You will need to do two things — first, you’ll need to choose which regions on the WAR map you want to fight for. You must pick two regions: a region that you want to attack a region that belongs to your faction, and that you want to defend against enemy forces. After confirming your choice on the WAR website, you must go into matchmaking battles in Tanki Online and earn Stars by defeating other players. Once again: the more stars you score per turn, the more prizes you will receive and the higher the chance of your faction to win. Previous war paint When we had the WAR last year, we had told you that the winners paint would be removed with the arrival of the new WAR. Well, the new WAR is here… BUT, we’ve decided to let you keep last year’s paint as part of the legacy of the WAR in Tanki Online. Note that this only applies to last year’s WAR winners paint. From this year, the winners paint will be removed as explained in the original announcement. F.A.Q. 1. How will defense system work? Tankers! Lots of cool stuff happening this week! We’ve got our Black Friday event kicking off tomorrow, featuring great discounts and bundles and other fun stuff. We’re also releasing the Hyperion Drone and the re-designed Prime skins for Viking and Thunder. And that's not all! After a week of in-depth testing, we’re implementing some interesting changes in Drones, Turrets, Alterations and Overdrives to make the game more balanced. Check out the detailed patch notes here. If there are no cards which can be bought by crystals now it doesn't mean that they do not exist. Cards are updated every 12 hours so just wait for a card which can be bought by crystals. Nobody promised that there will always be crystal cards.

Tankers! From tomorrow (Friday, November 15th), all players who are currently using the old HTML5 version of the game (with the exception of players on some partner sites) will be automatically redirected to the new HTML5 version. The old version will be removed and will no longer be accessible. Here’s the really important part. With tomorrow’s release, we are adding support for texture atlases to the new HTML5 version, which will enable the game to run smoothly even on outdated computers! The old HTML5 version served as a “lifeboat” in the months after Flash was discontinued, keeping the game afloat and allowing you to play. Now it has served its purpose, and the new version is stable enough to allow everyone to play comfortably. But this is just one stop on our journey. Our final plan is to switch completely to the new HTML5 version and phase out all other versions of the game. There’s still quite a bit of work to be done, but we’ll get there. Tankers! It’s time! With tomorrow’s server restart (Friday, November 15th) we’ll be rolling out a brand new look for the Shop in the new HTML5 and Android versions. This new design will be more intuitive and easier to navigate, AND it will include the Showcase feature that we’ve been telling you about in the V-LOG. Plus, you’ll also find some nice bonuses in there! Now, let’s have a look at the details. The Shop will be divided into two parts: static and dynamic. The dynamic part — The Showcase (upper part of the Shop) On the left-hand side, you’ll see your special offers. On the right, you will see a selection of cards. These will be randomly-generated and usually refreshed every 12 hours. In this section, you’ll be able to buy discounted items, and even get free deals! Special offers are item bundles for sale at a special price. They can be bought for crystals, tankoins, or real money. Some special offers can only be purchased once, and only one special offer will be featured in the showcase at any one time. Cards — temporary offers on items at a special price. The coolest thing in the Showcase — free cards with various items! These will occasionally show up in the Shop. If you see one, make sure you snatch it IMMEDIATELY before it disappears! Some of the cards you see, will be exclusively available to you. A timer will show you how long a card or special offer will be in the Shop. The duration is usually 12 hours. Check the Shop everyday and you’re guaranteed some great deals. The static part This part consists of the default Container bundles, Premium Pass, Coinboxes, Crystals, Gold Boxes, and in an upcoming release, also equipment kits. Sales for special celebrations and events will show up in this part of the Shop. ATTENTION: with the release of the Showcase, the «1500 Supplies» and «750 Batteries» bundles will be removed from all versions of the game. Additionally, the «100 Supplies» package will be removed from the Garage. Instead of these packages, we will add special cards with Supplies packages to the Showcase (i.e. 300 of all Supplies, 1000 Speed Boosts, 1500 Batteries, and others). To buy these bundles, visit the Showcase in the new HTML5 version by clicking this link. Log into the game and check out all the new features tomorrow. And don’t forget to visit the Shop often for great deals! FAQ If I have purchased a special offer once, will I be able to purchase it again? That depends on the offer. Some can only be purchased once. If I purchase a card, could it appear again? Yes, such offers may appear multiple times. However, a card may appear again only after the previous such card has disappeared. Why do I see closed shutters when I open the Shop? Is something broken? No, everything is fine. There may be times when there are no special offers available. I played and earned Crystals/Tankoins to buy a special offer, but it disappeared. What should I do? There might be two reasons for this: The offer has expired. Always check the timer to make sure you don’t miss an offer that you want to get. You’ve ranked up. Some special offers in the Shop are only available for a limited rank bracket. If you level up and move out of that bracket, the offer will disappear. Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do either way. You just have to wait for a new offer. But don’t worry. There will be a lot of them! Is it possible for an offer to be in the Shop for more than 12 hours? Yes, that's possible. In fact, some offers may have a longer duration. You’ll know by looking at the timer.
