Wow, well, this is interesting. I hope it works out well.

Well, I hate to tell you, but Rico does not have the power that it used to have. For example, at M3 it only has 12 shots. This allows it only 336 damage points per load, before it slows down considerably. Now, compared to Twins for example, which does (this figure is rounded) 3,000 damage per minute, Rico is at a disadvantage because Twins has a infinite amount of shots. Now, looking at Rico, we see that the number of damage per minute is 3000 (again, this figure is rounded). However, we cannot rely on this figure, because its load, if continually shot, does not last for a full minute, and I believe it lasts for about 3/4ths of a minute, tops. Subtracting 750 from this figure (750 being 1/4 of 3000) we can see that Twins does more damage per minute. This makes the gun useful only when the only way to reach the enemy without being exposed to enemy fire is to use the Ricochet effect, and that is not very useful when you are attacking a enemy position to get the flag. And, even if it is in, say, a TDM mode, you will then be out of ammo, making you very vulnerable. It is like this - if you are good at it, go right ahead. But it isn't easy to master, and it definitely doesn't have the greatest statistics. I would recommend getting Twins.

Guide [Issue 9] The Campers' Guide No. III
Ranger7 replied to Ranger7 in [Issue 9] The Campers' Guide No. III Newspaper Archive
The Campers' Guide No. III To be a successful camper, you have to know where to camp, and which guns to choose. This guide will give you some tips and hopefully will show you how to be a successful camper. This issue is about camping in Noise. Strategy Key: Red: This position is for Red Team. It is Red's last line of defense. Blue: These are good camping positions because they cover both the entrance points to the upper level of Noise. White: These are camping positions in "no tank's land," or the place where both teams can camp without going into the others base. Tips 1. When camping, its always best before you join a game to look and see what "season" it is. This will help you choose your camouflage before entering the game. 2. If possible, try doing some parkour. No, not try to get on top of a five story factory, but sometimes it is good to get to a hard-to-reach area. 3. Don't shoot just to make marks on the map. Its not good for a camper to be trigger-happy. Save your shots for the enemy. 4. When you are a camper, patience is necessary. Don't get discouraged if few enemies come up your route - most attackers don't like to keep attacking the same route all over again. 5. Communicate with your fellow campers if possible. If you don't, you might find that you are being attacked from behind. Its always best to know what your teammate is doing. Paints The camouflage for this map is going to be a little like Silence, but it still differs a little because of the increase of buildings. Here are a few recommendations: Summer: Desert: This is a very all around paint, because in several maps that have desert coloring, it matches relatively well. However, it is rather cheap, so it might be best to get something with a bit more power. I'd recommend this for a beginning camper though - it probably won't let you down. Sandstone: A great paint for a dedicated camper. I recommend it, even though it is outclassed in protection percentages by some of the more expensive paints, you really can't beat its camouflage in this instance. Rock: It is the best choice for a professional camper. This paint not only matches extremely well with most of the walls in Noise, but it also has a hefty amount of protections from guns like Twins and Isida, which are both good attacking weapons in Noise. However, it does come with a price tag. Winter: White: This paint is a very simple one, yet surprisingly an effective one, at least when it comes down to camouflage. However, its lack of any protection whatsoever will prevent it from becoming widely used by campers in Winter situations. Irbis: This paint is probably the best choice for both dedicated campers and professional ones in this situation. This is because it isn't quite as expensive as Clay, but it is more expensive than White. Having hefty protection against Isida, you can be positive that those annoying Isidas won't bother you as much as before. Note: I left out Winter because with its darker shades, it is easily spotted in most camping positions in Noise. I also left out Dragon because it seems to be outclassed swiftly by Desert. If you aren't the rank for Desert, and want to buy Dragon, I recommend waiting. Positions This position is probably the best position for Blue team. It has good cover, and it can shoot at most of the attack routes to Blue base. However, just watch out - a Rico might be able to reach you from above! Suggested weapons: Thunder or Rail Suggested paints: (Summer) Rock (Winter) Irbis This is a good position for Red team, and it allows you to take pot-shots at most of the attack routes, but this position can be reached by a swift Hornet or Wasp easily, so be careful, and watch out for Isidas coming up the ramp next to you! Recommended weapons: Rail or Shaft Recommended paints: (Summer) Sandstone (Winter) Irbis This is most likely the best camping spot for Red team. Not only does it allow you to knock off tanks from two attack routes, but it is also harder to get to than the previous spot for Red team. However, it is always best if both these positions are occupied, that way each covers the others "back." Recommended weapons: Rail or Thunder Recommended paints: (Summer) Rock (Winter) Irbis This is good for either team, but it is better for Red team, because it can cover every single attack position. However, being so close to one of the enemies' attack routes, its probably best that you pick a gun like Thunder, and that you pick a higher caliber. Recommended weapons: Rail or Shaft Recommended paints: (Summer) Rock (Winter) Irbis This is another example of a position that is good for both Red and Blue team. However, because it is so easily reached by Red team's gunfire, it's recommended that you use this position for Red team. Recommended weapons: Rail or Thunder Recommended Paints: (Summer) Sandstone (Winter) Irbis -

Bopo, it would probably be better to wait. If you like Viking or Hornet, you will probably dislike Mammoth's speed. Even though it is very good for the crystals, and I would recommend it highly to those who like that style, its probably best for you to stick with Viking or Hornet.

"20 Seconds to New Year" The aim of the contest was to imagine its 20 seconds before new year and shoot a video congratulating your Tanki Online fellow tankmen, developers, family and friends with the new year and pass your best wishes. Simple fantasy - You could dress up as Santa, you could sing, you could read poems, you could perform any act but the most important is that, it has to be original. 1st Place (20,000 Crystals, 500 of each battle supplies, Tanki Online T-shirt and mug) Jokjinari 2nd Place (10,000 Crystals, 200 of each battle supplies, Tanki Online T-shirt and mug) Micah7586 3rd Place: (7,000 Crystals, 100 of each battle supplies, Tanki Online T-shirt and mug) monster0909 "Artist of Tanki Online" The picture bracket contest "Artist of Tanki Online" has finally ended. Are you talented, or can draw or edit videos? There is an idea of starting a Tanki Online English Community Vlog. This is an informative, funny and community relevant video that talks about the current issues in our community. Update 121 This update changed the server platform that Tanki uses. It was a long awaited update, but when it finally came, several problems were fixed. Lag was reduced, as well as "connection closed by server" errors (the problem persisted for cheaters though). Update 123 According to the Tanki Administration, everything, including battle funds, crystals in your account, and prices in the garage were X10. This was supposed to balance the giving out of crystals. Several tankmen have noted that the person in first place no longer gets a huge chunk of the crystals as before, and that is one of the main effects of this update. Update 124 This update changed the price of all modifications of Firebird. The price was 50% less than normal, but this only lasted for a little over a day. I'm sure though that several tankers' hearts (and tanks) were melted with the increase in the number of Firebirds. Other Tightening of Moderation Standards! All insults and profanity will now be punished with harsher bans. All tankmen are urged to respect other players. This was implemented on February 11th. The chats are now noticeably cleaner. Thank you to all moderators who take their time to make our playing experience better. Iron Days in Tanki Online This sale made several tankmen happy. For two days all hull modifications were 25% off. I'm sure several tankmen added much "Iron" to their garages. -
There are a few problems with this. 1. Most people by playing with higher ranked or lower ranked members have made friends with them. This would make them unable to play together. 2. Some players would get bored if there were few players that were his rank. 3. Clans that had members with multiple ranks would not be able to play together anymore

Guide [Issue 9] The Mid-Fielder's Manual Pt. I
Ranger7 replied to Ranger7 in [Issue 9] The Mid-Fielder's Manual Pt. I Newspaper Archive
The Mid Fielder's Manual Pt. I Introduction: This is a "field manual" for Mid Fielders in Tanki Online. We will review several different combinations popular among mid fielders, and we will also look at different protective paints, such as Clay and Picasso. We will also look at the best mid field positions for each map in Tanki! I hope this helps you become one of the best mid fielders out there. This edition is on Silence II. Strategy Key: Red: These are suggested positions for red team, and should probably be used together as a team to cover certain danger spots, and to help red's offense get into the enemy base easier. Blue: These are suggested positions for blue team when the enemy is on the offensive side, and it is best to be securing these critical locations. Light blue: This position is a more offensive one, and is good to use in support of a healthy offense. However, the other positions that are colored normal blue should still be occupied if this is to be used as a position for a mid fielder. Paints As a mid fielder, you will probably want something that protects against commonly used sniper weapons. Most mid fielders aren't looking for camouflage, and camouflage is especially useless when it comes to this map for a mid fielder. Emerald: A excellent choice for any mid fielder who dislikes Thunder's power, it ensures that you will be able to compete with most Thunder users. It also has Twins protection, which is a great choice for this map, as some Twins users might try to join. Jade: This paint actually blends in with Silence II much better than some would think. But its protections are the great thing for a mid fielder - with both Smokey, Thunder, and Shaft, it is a great choice for many a mid fielder. However, it does have a very small protection against a very popular gun - Thunder. Prodigi: As above, this also has moderate camouflage for Silence II, even though that is not as useful for a defender, it still might come in handy in some instances. Unlike Jade however, it has more proportioned protections. It has moderate protection against Shaft (which is handy sometimes), good protection against Thunder (you really can't go wrong here) and great protection against Railgun (very useful). Needle: Though it may have been initially intended for snipers in more lush areas, it can still be used here, though maybe to less effect. It has great Smokey protection, and a mid fielder may find that very important. It also has good Shaft and ricochet protection. The latter two guns, however, are beginning to fall into disuse. Picasso: Though it does not have much of a brown hue to it, it does have a great array of protections. Thunder, Railgun, Shaft and Freeze are four guns that a mid fielder will not have to worry about as much. Plus, all these guns have a roughly 20% protection each, and that should ensure that you will be able to destroy them in most cases. Clay: Many mid fielders like this paint, and though it does not have the best coloring for this map, and you probably will not have leeches bumping against your hull, that isn't the main feature of this paint. With both Thunder and Railgun protection, it is a great choice for many mid fielders who dislike these weapons. It also ensures that Ricochet will not bother you near as much. Positions This is a great position, at it is easy to knock out attackers that try to strike from the other route, but it can also reach the enemy snipers from their base. It is good to keep these snipers in check, and to allow your attackers to move up without worrying about them. Suggested Weapons: Thunder or Twins Suggested Paints: Emerald, Prodigi, or Jade This position is probably best used when it is supported by the position above. Remember, it is important to stop the enemy attackers here, before they can get any further. Recommended Weapons: Thunder, Ricochet, or Twins. Recommended Paints: Emerald, Clay, or Picasso This position is good, as long as you can destroy your opponent before he reaches you. It is very good for your team to control this position, and it can also ensure that the enemy will not be able to kill as many tanks from the small sniping spot next to the pipes. Recommended Weapons: Thunder or Railgun Recommended Paints: Emerald, Prodigi, Picasso, or Jade This position is one of the easiest to master for mid fielders. It is a great spot to knock out many spawning tanks, and it is one of the best positions for a mid fielder on blue team. Recommended Weapons: Thunder or Railgun Recommended Paints: Needle, Clay, or Jade This is a great position for mid fielders on blue team to occupy, but it is dangerous for Thunder because of the splash effect. It is great if the position above is occupied, and if you control both these areas, you are in control of the map in most instances. Recommended Weapons: Railgun, Thunder, or Ricochet Recommended Paints: Picasso, Jade, or Emerald This is a controversial position. However, if you use the right tactics, it can be effective in controlling this sector. As any camper knows, its dangerous to stem the main attack line of the enemy, especially if they have Isida. However, if you can hold the position, it is great. Recommended Weapons: Railgun or Ricochet Recommended Paints: Picasso, Prodigi, or Clay Note: Some of the positions depicted here have several variations. It is purely up to you which variation you think best for your situation. -
That is correct. At least since I joined the game.

How am I wrong? Of course, there are probably going to be a few trolls out of 10 million people. But that doesn't change the fact that the moderators are trying their best.

This is wrong, and I'm sure the Moderators are doing everything they can to stop unnecessary posts in the complaints section.

FREEZE should not exist or at least be different...please consider
Ranger7 replied to MaximilliamtheGreat in Archive
Actually, Freeze, though it is powerful, can be easily avoided. First of all, I know that you are irritated. This is understandable. But first, I would say that you are going to have to adjust a little. All tankers know that if a gun becomes strong, they will have to be able to beat it. But now you have to be skilled enough to beat all the guns. However, if you don't like a gun, just play a map that freeze might not be as used. If you use a long-ranged gun, its best to just stay away from maps where your long-ranged gun will not be as useful as a powerful, short ranged one. And protective paints are there for a reason. If you specially do not like some gun, it is always a good choice to invest some crystals to make your experience more fun. However, you will not need these. They are there for your use, and if you do not use them, it does not mean you will not get a fair shake at freeze. Remember, to balance the game, Freeze has a short range. You should be able to stay out of its range for a little while if you back up and fire your "Twins" or "Smokey" at Freeze. If Freeze gets into close enough range to hit you, most of the time it is your own fault. -
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, We can all celebrate, because nothing have we to fear Oh now we can escape, with the enemy's flag And we don't have to worry, about a enemy shaft getting a frag But Oh, once I slid down the banister And what did I see? An ‘ole hamster, Sitting on a tree. Then the hamster did a skit, And Oh boy, was it a hit! They danced round the tree Till the shadows they could see And then they went home, that Christmas Eve, To play that great game, Tanki.
