Pretty sure that was supposed to be sarcasm. You know, all the !?!1?!?1!?!1 should give it away. -

Yeah, because that's all Thunder is good for, Parkour.

update Patch Update #676 - Released 21st January 2022
2shots2kills replied to Marcus in News Archive
So, in a nutshell: Yet another p2w augment for Freeze, Yet another buff for Smoky, which is already doing fine in its current state No change to the container update or rank up compensation, this means that you do not give a damn about your players feedback (wow what a surprise) and Thunder is still sitting in the dust with no buffs on the horizon. Probably Smoky could be raised a bit yes, I only use it with EMP or AP, so I do not have much experience with Standard augments, I thought it would not be that effective, but I guess the latest buffs made it much better overall. I don't know about Rail, maybe C- but not much higher than that, imho. Yes, Twins was actually A-/B+, but the latest nerf on its range killed it. (Also Hammer and Ricochet lost some tiers because of the same reason.)
-
All of them combined, and I took into consideration their overall utility and effectiveness. Although, some Turrets only need one Augment to excel. (like Adrenaline on Vulcan).

Yep, but I only considered garage augments for this List, with Status Effect augments and "premium" ones, the turrets would change positions a bit.

Tanki Online Turret Tier List
2shots2kills replied to 2shots2kills in Tanki Online Turret Tier List Archive
Since I like Tier Lists in general, I thought of creating one for TO as well. I wanted to make one for a while, but the presence of p2w augments made it really hard to place all the Turrets, since the meta will change a lot when taking into consideration different status effects. So, I created one that takes into consideration only Garage Augments (aka the ones you can buy with crystals) The + and - stand for recent balance changes which buffed or nerfed some Turrets. I am unsure about Firebird's placement, since I did not play it that much after the latest buff, and I am also not sure about Gauss, as it's one of the Turrets I do not (yet?) own. Feel free to discuss it, or make your own here. -
Sorry, but no. Just no. Smoky is leagues above Thunder rn. This turret is by far the worst one in the game, and any decent player at Legend rank will avoid it like Covid. Source: Trust me. Just trust me.

The saddest thing is, Thunder used to be TO's flagship Turret, featured in videos and screenshots. It also was one of the most powerful, and it was incredibly popular. It had an amazing shot effect accompanied by the satisfying sound of a huge explosion (I guess that's why the turret was named Thunder, each shot coming your way was like an earthquake)

Not exactly a picture, but I am sure you will understand. The best action of 2022 so far... Samir what are you doing my friend? @JustBlackWolf

Hackers were a serious threat only years ago, around 2013-2015. Now, I almost never see them. Maybe you think some players cheat, but the game is filled with broken mechanics that almost seem like cheating. (I have been accused to cheat several times) For example, a Vampire Isida w/ Defender/Lifeguard and a Healing Shaft is basically immortal, and you might think it is hacking, but it's not. Or infinite Overdrives, we have the Nuclear Supply in the game now. Funnily enough, the Test Server if often full of Hackers with jump hacks/true immortality (0 damage)

Well, I am glad that the whole community is so angry and vocal about this. You are all experiencing what me and other old players have always experienced through the years. Constant disappointment and frustration. Edit: I see you keep deleting posts. That won't change the fact that you have put the majority ot the players against you with this travesty of an update. The only worse one than this was the Rebalance of 2012.

update Patch Update #675 - Released 14th January 2022
2shots2kills replied to Marcus in News Archive
Fun fact, at the very start, in TO there were Engines that you needed to purchase and upgrade. Wear and tear, and a fuel system were probably planned. -
Thanks for 10k Cry, 30 armor and speed boost, mk1 hammer and the obligatory crappy paint with soda cans all over it. That fixed the issue and the community is happy again. Hooray.

I might take another break until this mess is reverted or fixed in some way. This update will make the game lose even more players, and I won't be buying the Tankoin pass anymore, because supporting the Devs now would be disgusting on my part. I'd like to at least know the reasoning behind this. Too much income for f2p players? And how are they supposed to play now? At this point just make the game pay to play and call it a day, we are already close to it anyway.- 408 replies

"Special mission to rank up now rewards you with 1 common container" I must say, I can't wait to get 30 Speed Boosts Instead of 40k Crystals when I rank up now. You Devs sure know how to give Players the motivation to keep playing the game! Outstanding work, 10/10 /s- 408 replies

Wait, maybe I have missed something, but, how are we supposed to get supplies now if those are no longer found in containers nor in daily missions? Maybe it is intended as "set of supplies" for example 100 or 250 of all? -
I know, I actually started a new account a year ago to play only with Shaft to test my theory and see if my hatred towards this turret was justified or not. And I must say that Shaft is a very relaxing turret to use, it almost feels like playing a different game. Just sit at the back and pick your targets that go down like pigeons. My average was around 30-2 just like you said, however, I lost a LOT of games. Way more than with other any turret at the same Rank. (I also had one account with Vulcan and one with Isida) Even if I killed everyone, the quick respawns meant that my shots were meaningless to actually change the pace of the game. I then switched to the Rapid Fire Augment and adopted an active playstyle and my win rate started to improve. I could cap flags, score goals, stop a bunch of attackers, create distraction, etc. All of which I was unable to do while camping at the back. *All of this was tested in CTF, RGB, CP and Assault. Due to all of this, a camping Shaft/Magnum counts as half a teammate to me. If I see two or more of those players in my team I immediately quit. I just can't help it.

I'll just say this, not that matters at all since no Dev will ever read or care. You have destroyed Ricochet by nerfing its range. Almost no one used it to bounce shots, and now you literally can't do that unless you are at point blank range, or you use Minus Field Stab. Absolute nonsense.
-
Do you also want some coffee and a magazine while you snipe from the back and oneshot tanks that are actually trying to win the game?
