Good question. I know for a fact that it's how the rules were set when Ilia.Archangel originally created the topic, but why it was done so at all - I'm not sure. I'm actually somewhat tempted to cancel that rule. But I guess the main motivation for having the rule is that TWR is a place where players can come and show off their own achievements, so there's no point filling the list with records, holders of which may never even come to check out the topic.

What is there to "come up with"? It's simple maths. In fact, I'm pretty sure that all you need to do is multiply all the numbers together and the number you get is the total number of possible turret/hull/paint combinations. ^ wow, Adriel ninja'd me by a few seconds.

Topic merged There is no more "Zero supply". It's now called "Overdrive". It can't be merged with the Zero Module because that module is needed for when a player wants to take off their protections for whatever reason (e.g. for a format battle). Also, since the Overdrive is part of the supplies system and modules are part of the protection system, it doesn't make sense to merge the two. There are far better ways to incorporate Overdrive into the game.

Stop speculating. You assume things you know nothing about, despite being told the exact opposite by people who DO know how the system works. This has nothing to do with mods making wrong decisions to ban people. That section was never intended to be used for complaints about chat mods, if that's what you mean. You can read a clear explanation about why the section was closed in the header of that section. Russian mods do know some English. Some even know it very well (take me as an example). If a mod does not know what you said - they will either send a screenshot of the chat to someone who can translate, or ignore your messages altogether. A moderator does not ban without 100% certainty of the meaning. You don't need to know any of these things. Like I said above - regarding ANY chat ban, a player of the English community should contact a corresponding EN administrator. In this case - either Ostrica or M4jH0L-AFG. If you don't trust/believe even the highest officials of this community, then I'm afraid the only advice I can give you is that you need to find a more suitable community.

Topic merged Sounds like an interesting alteration for Striker, but not other turrets. Rounds can't willingly change direction once they leave the barrel of the gun. They are just bullet-shaped boxes with explosives inside them and they have no way to control their movement. Striker is the only one with such a feature since rockets are fitted with their own propellant and guiding system. But since Striker is so hard to use at the moment, this would indeed be a useful alteration.

Well, I was the one to suggest it in the first place, so I'm happy :D There isn't. We decided not to accept records for modules and paints because, unlike turrets and hulls, those two do not affect your gameplay as much, so it's a lot easier to dedicate yourself to one module or paint than to one turret or hull. Yes, but they won't tell you that info if you don't know it because it's an answer to one of the secure questions used when restoring accounts.

I'm tempted to archive that record because of that factor.

That's called sabotage and it's most definitely banable. The person, who's intentionally not capturing flags, or blocking the flag carrier, will get a ban if you record a video and report it on the forum, or if a battle mod comes after a successful /vote complaint.

Golfinray, have you actually tried to contact admins about it? GVA, Ostrica? As far as I know GVA himself knows English fairly well, and even if that's not the case, Ostrica should be able to help you and check whether or not your ban was deserved. Misunderstandings can happen.

It was found out many times from various polls, such as ones where players chose which hull should get a discount. But it's also personal experience - Hornets are way more common.

The reason it seems that Wasp has better protection is because its M2 modification unlocks later and costs more. But it's the opposite for M1 - in this case the Hornet is the one that unlocks later and has a higher price. As for the advantages, Wasp is, indeed, faster than Hornet and slightly smaller, so it's harder to hit. But Hornet's main advantage is that it's a lot more stable and much easier to handle. It's rarely going to be a direct cause of death, but it will still affect your performance. For example, with Hornet you will be more comfortable steering it, so you won't have to slow down as much as you perhaps would with Wasp to avoid crashing, therefore you move faster and are a more difficult target. Alternatively, some players mastered Wasp's difficult handling and are using it to their advantage, carrying out maneuvers that require a lot of skill, but would otherwise be impossible with any other hull. In either case, Hornet is by far the most popular hull, and I don't think that would be the case if Wasp was significantly better.

OK, if you want my honest point of view (which is not, by any means, an actual fact), here it is: Yes, Tanki is "going downhill", i.e. losing popularity. But this is not because of bad updates, but because the game is 8 years old and is losing its player base to better, more advanced games of the same type. This game is not a failure. It's has been an amazing success, if you consider the fact that this was originally meant to be a simple demo to showcase possibilities of Flash game engine, yet it outlived most online MMO browser games and gained massive popularity. Yes, developers are adding a lot of stuff to encourage players to spend money. This is because AlternativaPlatform (the publisher) is a profit organisation and Tanki is their main project and main source of income. Yes, the game is somewhat "Pay2Win", but definitely not as much as some other games. It's still completely possible to compete against heavy buyers without investing any real money. It's just very difficult and time consuming, which is why most free players tend to be weaker than buyers since they don't have the patience to maximise their income. Now please send any replies on the above points to me in PM, since this topic is for the discussion about the game's balance.
