Topic merged At the moment the only rewards you get is being able to join PRO battles without having a PRO pass, a private clan chat and a clan tag. More bonuses will almost certainly be added in the near future.

Dammit, I clicked this topic and grabbed my popcorn expecting some heated discussion about mods being abusive, but only got a boring screenshot with spam. Annoying clickbait title is annoying... -_-

Like I said in my previous post above, they added a ton of new features, which inevitably induce lag. So to reduce the lag they optimised the game. So as a result we now have a game that is far better and more interesting compared to 2008-2010 tanki, yet the amount of lag is at least on the same level, or better.
-
In that case it may be an issue with the game. After all, they did introduce the clans system very recently (which included changes to the friends window) and there are bound to be technical issues. Please be patient and wait for them to be fixed.

Topic merged Paints are for looks, as they are supposed to be. I'd say that around 90% of online games nowadays have purchasable visual customisations for your character, which have zero effect on gameplay and simply make you stand out or make your character look the way you like. There is no reason for Tanki not to have the same feature. Besides, paints are still NOT useless. Some of them are very effective for camouflage, so if you buy certain gray/green/white/yellow paints, you'll be able to effectively blend in with the environment on certain maps so that you will be harder to notice and therefore people will shoot you less often.

That's arguable. Personally I didn't notice any significant increase of lag over the past few years. On the contrary, a lot of glitches were fixed and loading time significantly reduced. So I think that overall there was definitely imprvement. Besides, let's not forget about all the stuff devs added to the game over the years and it still works as good as before.

Are you sure you deleted enough friends? Try deleting all of them!
-
No, they've been working on it since the beginning. They always look for ways to improve the situation with lags and optimise the game. The update that made drop zones always visible is an examle of such progress. In an online game there is no single solution to lag, and neither is it a thing that's possible to completely eradicate. Also, most of the time the cause of lag is on the player's side, e.g. they live far away from the servers. That can't be fixed with an update.
-
Lags are a known issue and developers are constantly working to improve it. As for your specific issue - the more friends you have, the longer your friends window will take to load. Anywhere over 200 friends causesn significant lag when you load the friends window, and not just for you - everyone on the server/battle wil be lagging too. Try to delete some of your friends and only leave those you really know and often play with. This should reduce the amount of lag.

Patch Update #439 - Balance Changes, New Alterations and Bug Fixes

You completely misunderstood what I meant. -
Combine 5 gunpowder with 4 sand and you get some of dat sweet @TriNitroToIuene

Woulb be really frustrating to have a slow reload on it. I assume you will have to do a lot of trial and error shots before hitting the right spot, so having to wait for an eternity after every time you miss would be really annoying.

Patch Update #439 - Balance Changes, New Alterations and Bug Fixes
Maf replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Because back then the game was still relevant. Quite hard to keep a 9-year old MMO game going with all these more advanced games being released all the time, so it's surprising that TO is doung so well despite being an outdated game. -
True. It seems like this turret will be more of a stationary weapon, just like in WoT. You select a good firing position, take a few practice shots and after a while you'll be able to know exactly which angle and power the shot needs to hit a certain location (e.g. a place where enemies often pass) as well as predict the projectile flight time, so that you can shoot in advance and hit a tank that's moving past the place where you're aiming. I imagine it will take crazy amounts of skill to be able to judge the angle and power accurately every time while also moving around the map and shooting in different directions.

Patch Update #439 - Balance Changes, New Alterations and Bug Fixes

The difference here is that to use that option and change it back we have to pay 50k (or is it 100?). If the alteration was free, or if the splash damage was an alteration while the old non-splash Twins remained as a standard setting, you would have no complaints whatsoever. Same with railgun - you would get a lot less hate if old reload time was standard and the faster reload was an alteration. -
And the couple things in the end, which you didn't have in your original list: Your parents are right. Please wait until you are an adult earning your own money before spending it on unnecessary things. No mate, you think too much of yourself. Children may have a powerful imagination, but older people are often very creative and, what's more important, they can consider all the aspects of the game when suggesting something or giving feedback. I can clearly see this from the ideas I see on the forum - younger users mostly suggest absurd and ricidulous things or changes which would destroy the game, while older players think about what the game really needs and post sensible ideas for things which would improve the game and be beneficial to all players and developers. Not sure what you mean by lack of freedom in the game. Please explain.

Alright, i'll respond to all your issues one by one. I numbered them for convenience. 1. The area restrictions are there not because of technical limitations, but because players used to abuse them during battles. People would get on top of a building or into another hard-to-reach place and either keep the flag there (thus hindering the game's progress), or camp there instead of helping their team and wait for a Gold box to drop, so they can jump on top of it (e.g. on Noise). If you want to play without these restrictions, just enter a Parkour format battle - you only die there if you go too high in the air or fall off the map. 2&3. Many players were against this update, but developers say that it was done to make hulls more organised: three groups of tanks (light, medium and heavy) and each group has variations within it, which offer different speeds, maneuverability and handling. Viking may be faster than the other two medium hulls, but Dictator has a large body (good for golds) and Hunter is easier to control. 4. For suggestions regarding balancing equipment, please post in the topic Let's Discuss Game Balance 5. Striker's lock-on mechanic was recently improved. But for further suggestions please also use the topic I linked above. 6&7. The shaking of the scope was not a skill-dependant feature. It moved about randomly and only made aiming annoying due to it's unpredictable nature. The laser, on the other hand, added a lot more skill requirement to effective Shaft gameplay, because now the player needs to hide his scope, change sniping locations and be quick with the aim to fire before the enemy notices the laser. 8. There are already plenty of maps in Tanki. Sure, many of them share the same four sets of textures, but I don't think it's a big deal, since gameplay is more important than graphics and aesthetic features. Also, things like day cycles and weather will increase loading time and make the game more laggy. It's really not worth it. 9. As for crystal boxes - you're wrong about players not bothering to stop for small amounts of crystals. People will still camp and collect crystals, even if there's just one in each box. The whole crystal boxes feature is terrible anyway. It does nothing to improve gameplay and simply makes no sense: why would there be currency randomly falling out of the sky during the battle?? 10. Developers decided that removing Freeze's and Fire's ability to shoot through tanks as a necessary change to improve balance. If you disagree with that please use the balance topic I linked above. And of course a tank is harder to kill if it has armor activated. That's what it's supposed to do! 11. Protection values for modules are quite balanced now. There are multiple people complaining about protections being too LOW, due to an increasing number of weapons and only 3 protections from them at any time. So I'm pretty sure you're in the minority here. 12. Players who don't support the project by buying don't get to have access to convenient tools such as EXP boosters. Simple as that :) 13. Ideas for things related to buying should be posted in this topic. But we do not accept ideas for increasing the value of gold boxes. 14. This was already suggested by other players.
