That way the damage you deal will be more consistent and you won't have a problem where you shoot your enemy once and get killed during reload just because they have that tiny bit of HP left.

Since the ratings system doesn't give players any bonuses, the fact that it is easier for a Premium Account owner to be first on the crystals and experience leaderboards does not mean that non-buying players are at a disadvantage. Theoretically, you have the option to save up and buy the same equipment and supplies (with the only exception of the paint), so there is nothing here to balance. I'm going to have to disagree with you there. A "shortcut" is exactly just that - a shorter route from point A to point B. If you are talking about the amount of protection you get by choosing a particular path, then that's not a shortcut, but rather a "safe route".
