Just remove the burn and the stun, then we got a great, balanced and unique hull

Pretty sure that the majority is using keyboard controls, but mouse controls are way superior in my opinion. First, because it's just a more natural kind of aiming, since probably the majority of games uses mouse controls for aiming. And second, the amount of information you can gather with it is far superior to information gathering on keyboard controls, since you can look around 360° whenever you want. You can then also block unnecessary turret movements with the right click, in order to save some time and be ready to shoot again quicker. Mouse controls get you on a whole new level if you're able to master them

The title is self-explanatory. Every other game that bases on matchmaking systems like the one in Tanki won't let players leave matches easily, without the player leaving being punished. So why not introducing punishments in Tanki too? Players who leave a battle for the first time should get a warning, after leaving a second one they should be banned from MM (not indefinitely, only for a certain amount of time, should become more time the more you get banned from MM). I know that some matches are horrible to play, but still. You might ruin someone else's battle by leaving, and that should be prevented!

I would like this bar to stay when you go to the Battle List. We would have more color instead of only that monotonous gray then and more functionality! Being able to navigate with the up and down arrow keys to the map you want and selecting it with the enter key would be a nice QoL addition. Other things I would like to see are being able to switch between languages in game and ofc course Hopper being removed from XP/BP ?

You're clearly not thinking enough, then. The only problem I see in Tanki's matchmaking is that there are no rankings outside the in game ranks (for example the ones in LoL, CS:GO, ... Silver, Gold etc). If all players are being mixed in one match, it's just obvious that the ones without any skills or mechanics won't always land in the top spots. Not trying to flex here, but each time I'm playing matchmaking I'm getting the maximum amount of stars, without any Mk7+, without drones and without modules, so I don't really see any problem there ? Even if you lose you can get the maximum amount of stars, so why would you even care about winning?

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
Son_Goku replied to Maf in Game Discussion
The only ads for Tanki I have seen were back then, in 2011. Haven't seen any since ? -
You clearly don't remember the old maps' textures then. They looked cheap, messy and the colors weren't natural at all. I would pick the newer maps' textures over the old ones every time
-
One thing we can all agree on is that the graphics for the old maps were way worse than the ones we got right now. The tanks tho. They were looking way more badass imo, the newer ones look like someone already mentioned cartoonish, or even childish. The new maps+the old tanks would be a way better combo!

Of course there was! You couldn't choose it as a mode when creating battles, but I remember players calling their battles XP-K or something similar (the K meant without protection), so people who thought about joining knew that it's for XP/BP. I started playing XP/BP before the Re-Balance and it sure was less toxic than nowadays ?

Sorry, but the game's development has to go on, outdated hardware won't keep up eventually. You need to upgrade, there are no other ways around it
-
I hope that Tanki will continue introducing QoL updates, it's really what it needs ?
-
Yes, it is time to upgrade. Especially when your OS won't be updated anymore. Or would you still run XP these days?
-
"Fix your matchmaking" is an easy thing to say, but it's surely not easy to implement. Tell me 1 game that has good matchmaking. Correct, there are none ;)
-
Well, Tanki is 11 years old by now. Being a browser game made it kinda obvious that it wouldn't last for too long. It still has 10k+ active players daily tho, which is pretty good, so I wouldn't consider it dead yet ?
-
I've been playing XP/BP basically nonstop since 2013 and I got only 1 Mk7+, so I'm not that sure if it was a very efficient way to farm resources ?
-
I swear that I searched for the start a topic button over there, but I really couldn't find it ?

What happened to Tanki's tutorial?
Son_Goku replied to Son_Goku in What happened to Tanki's tutorial? Archive
Tanki had a tutorial some years ago. You were able to play with selected guns/hulls and learn about game mechanics while proceeding in the level and had to kill enemy bots. Why did the devs decide to remove it? It was really fine, as far as I remember. -
There's just nothing after achieving the Legend rank, it feels completely empty. Why isn't there some kind of rating with leaderboards like back then, but based on your efficiency in battles rather than your D/L? Would make the Legend rank way more competitive, e.g. way more fun to play. I get it that there are leaderboards for how much score you were able to achieve and so on, but I think that all of us know that these don't really show how "good" someone is playing. This could be a Legend rank only thing, so players have a reason to grind this far ? My second point would be to add more statistics. I would love to be able to see stuff like my winrate, average damage dealt per battle, and so on. Honestly, this would blow my mind ?
-
Using /addscore and /addcry on the Testserver to get OP equipment and removing my score again, so I had m3s at the low ranks, one shotting m0s was fun ?
-
What does this mean for XP/BP? That everyone will be able to tank like 4 shots? And I don't know, but I'm feeling like I could just go brainlessly to the enemy flag without even thinking about getting damage, because I survive it anyway ?
-
Honestly, the interface of the HTML version is horrendous, it's the only thing I dislike about it. The graphics are far from perfect too, but I don't really care about graphics (I mean, the shadows were literally made using Paint's spray tool)
-
I'm not really sure, but I think that they moved all of their servers to somewhere in the Netherlands back then, since the most of the player base were from around there
