Yeah, Spark is already rather a decent paint which can even be useful at higher ranks with MUs on it. Note that if you plan to play XP-battles, you need a paint with 20% Railgun protection along with Hornet m2 and Railgun m2.

It's one of the only paints that are good to buy at lower ranks. Railguns seems to be a real threat at these ranks. Almost every players wants some protection from it. Tundra offers this protection without being too expensive. It's important not to waste too many crystals to paints at lower ranks, because you need these crystals to buy m2 and m3 equipment and because these 'cheap' paints are not quite useful at higher ranks anymore.

Not buying a paint till the rank of Marshall will be too hard since all your opponents will have paints by that rank. I think starting from the rank of Major, paints are worth to be bought. Ricochet and Hornet is worse than Ricochet with Hunter I think. Therefore, I'd go for Ricochet m2 + Hunter m1 now and start saving up crystals for Hunter m2. It might be hard to wait, but once you have Hunter m2, you'll be happy you waited. What about Ricochet? I'd not go for a 'cheap' kit then. Focus on m2 equipment now which give you a remarkable advantage in battles.

Clay and Lumberjack are both very useful paints. I think you should make your choice between these two. You can earn 80k experience points before the sale in September if you play a lot, but buying a SMP to rank up faster is more like a waste of crystals to me, especially if you buy the 100% SMP. If you manage to rank up with the 30% or 50% SMP which don't cost too much, you can go for it. At your rank, I'd try to wait a bit longer with buying a paint. I'd rather go for a kit that preferably contains a paint that unlocks at a higher rank than your current rank. The paints at your rank won't be very useful at higher ranks. What do you mean by a 'cheap' kit? I'm a huge fan of Riochet m1 and if you know how to use it, it's better than Twins m1 in my opinion.

Vulcan's impact force must be drastically decreased. It's impossible to drive properly while Vulcan is firing at you.
